Dell PowerEdge R-Series Valuable Features

Tom van Mil - PeerSpot reviewer

Systems Administrator at Lico Innovations B.v.

The most valuable features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series for me are the feature richness and the upgradability. I really love the way that it is so dynamically applicable for every situation, and they manage to have an all-in-one solution for every single situation.

Dell PowerEdge has supported the growth and operational success of my company through its great compute power and price-to-performance ratio. Every time Dell is at the top of its game for us, and there is just no other brand for us that is able to reach that kind of price-to-performance ratio.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has features that specifically cater to the needs of my small company, such as iDRAC. The iDRAC system is a complete feature set for managing servers and hardware technically and monitoring-wise. It really fits in our system and our ecosystem, and monitoring-wise, it is excellent. They have all these sensors available via different protocols and end points, which I love, and the ability to manage and control everything via the iDRAC interface is just a welcome bonus.

In our use case, Dell PowerEdge R-Series is very flexible. It is another computer which helps a lot because of the durability over time. They keep running, making scalability for getting more of those resources in our environment so easy.

I appreciate Dell solutions because they are reliable, and we know what we are getting. If we do need support, it is quick. Dell offers us the ability to keep our own hard drive, which we appreciate because we can just get the replacement server, hot-swap, and we are running again.

My personal favorite feature is iDRAC. I appreciate that you do not have to work with the OS itself to flash something; it is easy and manageable.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series is delivered as a platform for clients in the AI domain, allowing them to build on top of the infrastructure and utilize the compute capacity provided.

Clients have been using Dell PowerEdge R-Series from the start, so they maintain a fully Dell-focused approach.

The product serves as a good foundation because reliable, stable products are essential based on maintenance requirements and other factors. This reliability is definitely one of the key pillars for choosing Dell.

While other vendors are used on specific parts like storage, Dell is always chosen for the compute base.

The technical team values the product highly. From an organizational perspective, the priority is ensuring the product is reliable with a long lifetime cycle. The goal is to avoid variance in infrastructure, so choosing one series should mean it remains available for three, four, or five years due to maintenance considerations, and that works perfectly.

The CPU inside is an Intel Xeon processor.

There is satisfaction with the product because it delivers compute as it should.

The first and most important are the security features, especially the inbuilt encryption, which is one of the major business cases for choosing Dell servers over other manufacturers because the security features in terms of encryption and other cryptographic aspects are excellent.

The second part is the hardware stability; the hardware stability, maintenance, and downtime given by Dell servers occurs once a year for one server, or sometimes not at all. Hardware stability compared to any other manufacturer makes Dell very good, especially the R-Series and M-Series.

The best feature of Dell PowerEdge R-Series is the tool called OpenManage Enterprise, which allows me to manage my entire list of about 1300 servers under one consolidated pane, making the administration absolutely fantastic. The firmware recommendation and upgrades are straightforward, and Dell's iDRAC is one of the finest tools that proactively informs me of hardware failures.

The support from Dell is one significant benefit I observe, especially at American Express where we work with many vendors. Dell's SLA commitments are reliable, and their engineers provide excellent support during escalations, often resolving issues quickly. Their hardware has a lower failure rate compared to other vendors, leading to fewer outages.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series has helped reduce unplanned production downtime. The impact of Dell PowerEdge R-Series on our sustainability goals is absolutely fantastic, as we haven't encountered any major outages.

I think the pricing of Dell PowerEdge R-Series is acceptable and represents an advantage.

I believe the system deployment is not difficult and is easy. Dell PowerEdge R-Series is similar to other competitors. For example, VxRail is different and sometimes difficult to deploy. However, Dell PowerEdge R-Series is straightforward to run the technical deployment.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I prefer most are the iDRAC and firmware updating capabilities, which are the main reasons for my preference. The ease of updating firmware through iDRAC is a significant benefit. It's easy because HPE requires you to download a large firmware package that is about six gigabytes, but with Dell iDRAC, I'm able to reach the internet directly to download the drivers for installation. This is possible because they're stable and they just work without any downtime.

What I appreciate most about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is how they are engineered internally. You can open them and easily disassemble and reassemble them. I am a fan of the iDRAC management interface, which is unique in the world.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped reduce unplanned production downtime. Although calculating the exact amount is difficult, before we used servers from another brand, I had boxes exploding every week, with real fires. In more than 15 years using Dell PowerEdge R-Series, I had one motherboard failure in 13 years and a couple of memory bars, leading to almost zero issues. The hard disk used is simply consumable.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has affected the overall flexibility of my operations and business. Thanks to iDRAC, I could give access to users, allowing them to reboot the machines, look at consoles, and reconfigure settings. This has created a great new experience for the users compared to before. For the management team, the whole software environment around Dell PowerEdge R-Series portfolio, for example, OpenManage Enterprise as a management platform, has increased efficiency. For instance, it previously took two people full-time for a week to upgrade the BIOS on 120 machines, but today we can do 300 in five minutes, completed by a tenth of a person equivalent. It is incredible.

One feature of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I love, and it has improved generation over generation, is the iDRAC feature. Being able to get back into the server, control it, and then with them linking up to the AI Ops, allowing me to see real-life telemetry of what is going on and understand what is going on in a single pane of glass has made it so much easier for us to understand. These features benefit us because we are a small IT team. Now with our expansion into the Dell Private Cloud, it has allowed us to not even have to interface with the iDRAC but allow the software to do the work. It is almost letting AI deploy a VxRail cluster, a vSphere cluster, ESX hosts, or Red Hat OpenShift through a click, and it goes in the back end and deploys it. Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers are such a multi-function tool for us and they have such a great API to allow us to do so many functions that it makes it easy to work with.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I prefer the most include out-of-band support, which has improved significantly. iDRAC is an amazing product that has become more full-featured over time. Full access to pre-OS configuration is a great feature. Additionally, the simplicity of the PowerEdge platform physically makes it easy to take apart. Everything is very modular and nicely designed.

The benefits of these features for my company include that Dell PowerEdge R-Series is a solid compute platform. Nothing ever fails at this point very much. Occasionally a drive will fail, but that is easily resolved. Memory will fail and is easily resolved. We really have not had any issues that we experienced previously with other devices where we hit bottlenecks. We still have not seen that. Everything works amazingly. If there are issues, they are usually at the guest OS level and not the Dell PowerEdge R-Series devices themselves.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime significantly. Before we went with Dell PowerEdge R-Series, I was not there, but I know that we were having major issues with our primary EMR platform because the physical servers we were using previously were underpowered for that use. As soon as we went to Dell PowerEdge R-Series, those issues resolved. That was huge for us.

I could not really say offhand which application I find the most valuable. As I said, I have been working with them for a very long time, and system management works very well.

System management works well for us in operations, and that is of course a key point for us. Otherwise, I would not know a single point that I could highlight.

It works so well due to our fairly long experience with it, and even when a new version comes out, we are integrated into it relatively quickly. Integration into third-party systems, monitoring, and other systems is also quite good.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series improves our company by supporting our work and our operations. The company itself does not become better or worse just because I would use another manufacturer. However, I have had very good experiences with Dell systems, and the price-performance ratio has always been great. In that respect, we have been quite satisfied over the years.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I appreciate most are reliability, support, and iDRAC.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped reduce unplanned production downtime when designed appropriately. Although all hardware experiences failures occasionally, Dell's 4-hour support enables us to minimize downtime, and with proper design, we can essentially eliminate downtime.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has affected the overall flexibility of our operations and business. With appropriately designed servers, there is flexibility to meet the needs of the business. We design for both planned and unplanned growth, and IT departments are often asked to support new initiatives from other lines of business within the organization. Appropriately designed solutions help deliver whatever the business requires.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped reduce my total cost of ownership by eliminating downtime and being able to support the evolving needs of the business. As workloads evolve to containers or AI, the flexibility in servers to add GPUs or other components has been fantastic.

The feature I consider the most valuable about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is iDRAC, which is a very important system for remote management, allowing me to control, monitor, and manage the server. Apart from that, the product quality is enormous, and failures are virtually non-existent. Support services from Dell are very good, and it's consistently positive. It's basically always a well-rounded package.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has improved my company, even though it's difficult to measure whether there was an improvement since we define our workloads ourselves. Downtimes are minimized, even though none have occurred so far, but when they do, they are very short thanks to the appropriate support services. I can always rely on the systems; they're always available, and in terms of support, I always quickly reach someone who can help me further without any problems.

The functionality of the models I am using is mostly the R servers, R-Series, the 760, the 770 range. These are retrofits for HCI-type stacks and VDI architecture.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I appreciate the most are management, implementation features, and iDRAC. The simplicity it brings in terms of starting a server from scratch through monitoring and beyond is valuable. The interface is simple to use.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped me reduce unplanned production downtime by 100%. From a typical customer use case perspective, we see a reduction in data center floor space, consolidation of workload, and reduction of power and cooling. We observe this almost every consolidation exercise we conduct.

The benefits I have seen from running AI workloads on Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers show that the ROI for any customer is not achieved within a year or two. What I have observed, over a period from implementation to production and over three to six months, is significant cost reduction specifically from a data center perspective regarding power and cooling, and then on the application side, faster uptime in terms of servicing information back to the application.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has definitely affected the overall flexibility of my operations and business.

Implementation is much simpler, which from an execution perspective, allows us to almost determine the start and end date to complete. The simplicity and functions we have, along with the ability to rack, stack, and implement in less time than before, are significant advantages.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has definitely helped reduce my cost of ownership and total cost of ownership.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has supported growth and operational success in that it met our needs. We chose Dell PowerEdge R-Series because it's pretty reliable, we like the specs, and the price point was just right.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has good backup, supports a lot of good Intel chips that we use for our applications, and provides a good balance for memory requirements.

In terms of Dell PowerEdge R-Series features, support is really good because it's Dell. It's a big, known brand, and Dell has a good support model, making it very easy to replace parts. Support is the standout feature.

The support from Dell benefits my company because whenever we have an issue, such as a part failing, the faster we're able to replace it, the less downtime for an application, which is critical to our company.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series is scalable. We have around a few terabytes of storage, however. it can be expanded as it has the capacity to accept more storage. This makes us comfortable knowing we can add more storage internally without having to use external cloud solutions.

The system effectively meets our workload requirements. We currently have about 60 to 70 users, and we can accommodate more users without performance issues. The data storage and retrieval capabilities are perfect. It is essentially a decent, high-speed performing device.

The benefits to our organization overall are reduced downtime and more reliable uptime. It allows us to expand into our backup and disaster recovery solution more cleanly, which means that from a compliance point of view, when NIS2 is coming along now, we're covered. We've all the stepping stones done to have robust enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery in place with the secondary solutions that we have offsite.

It gives us a good foundation platform to run everything on. It helps me sleep better at night knowing something's not going to fall over in the middle of the night.

My view of Dell as an overall end-to-end solution with all the different products that I have is that it is in my opinion one of the best vendors out there for infrastructure, end user use, and everything in between. Even the peripherals are quite good. Dell PowerEdge R-Series is the perfect one-stop shop for your overall solution if you need it. I've yet to come across something I need that Dell doesn't do or have a product for in some way, shape or fashion. It's the one-stop shop for anything you need for IT.

What sets Dell servers apart for me is the iDRAC feature, which I find exceptional for debugging remotely, being able to power the server back on, and knowing when there is a disk that is getting weak or a RAM stick issue while calling support. Everything is remote in the data center, and I get information back to know how my physical machines are doing before getting to the OS layers and then getting feedback at the application level. Having access to the physical layer remotely is formidable.

When you ask about functions of Dell PowerEdge R-Series, I will be blunt: it is a server like any other; as long as it runs, I do not really care, in principle. It is of course nice that you can say, if you know one, you know them all, meaning whether I have a 340 or a 750, I know where the power button is and where other components are located. This consistency across the same family is the advantage.

Regarding how Dell PowerEdge R-Series works, I can say that they are very reliable.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series products grow with the company's needs; they are scalable for my long-term plans. For my company internally it is manageable, but with the customer, if a project grows, then I just have to take the next bigger one.

The specific features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I find most valuable are stability and performance.

We want to ensure that we have 24/7 availability with Dell PowerEdge R-Series, and we have pretty much had that with the servers over the years.

Performance-wise, for the end-users and the data compute coming through, we are 24/7, so it has to be manufacturing and collecting data constantly. Those two factors from Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers have been very effective over the years.

The Dell PowerEdge R-Series plays a role in my company's AI initiatives, as we're in the very early days of AI. However, the intention is to store data on the new servers, which will then be run by AI models that will be on-premise. We would use the CPU, GPU, or whatever processing capabilities are within Dell PowerEdge R-Series to do the processing of the models.

As a server admin, I find the remote capabilities of Dell PowerEdge R-Series very valuable, primarily because we have to remote into the servers for our work. The Linux team utilizes PowerShell, SSH, and Putty to connect, and having access to iDRAC, the ability to configure it and use features like Wake-on-LAN are consistently helpful.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series has helped reduce unplanned production downtime, as I find their stability and reliability comparable to HP. Any downtime typically stems from requiring firmware or BIOS upgrades, which may necessitate server downtime, but I have not perceived any performance issues with Dell PowerEdge R-Series relative to other manufacturers.

I consider the best features that Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers to be mainly simplicity, since the ecosystem is the same as I already have. Everything in my organization is Dell and the training time is low. Additionally, practically everything comes packaged and ready to plug in and install.

These features have made my work and my team's work easier by simply adding one more server into our ecosystem, and the team does not have to be retrained. The fact that everything is integrated in a simple way allows us to have very little configuration time and to focus on generating business value.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has positively impacted my organization by providing us with more computing power and possibilities. The fact that I can work with NVIDIA cards with NVLink means that the throughput I have within that cluster with the cards is at the maximum, which in turn allows me to run models at higher speed and higher throughput, and with large context windows for an ecosystem with concurrent users of at least 40.

One often overlooked feature is the ability to get detailed monitoring from Dell PowerEdge R-Series. Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers, with OMSA and iDRAC, make it easy to deploy and manage for a small team, allowing us to set up monitoring and automate alerts even without an on-site team. This capability significantly enhances our operational efficiency.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers offer great flexibility since parts and experienced personnel are abundant; we can easily adapt and upscale as our needs change without completely overhauling our systems, allowing us to repurpose servers effectively and prolong their lifespan.

As a high uptime company, we get great reliability from Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers, rarely experiencing downtime, and with Dell's ProSupport, we have local assistance ensuring problems are resolved quickly, which provides peace of mind during stressful situations when issues arise.

What distinguishes Dell PowerEdge R-Series from other servers is that I only used to have HP, which were simply not as reliable. The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I like the most include iDRAC, which is the remote management component that allows you to manage the console of the server from anywhere, and all the other features like redundancy, which are built into the servers by default, that's what has drawn us to the product over the years.

By having the iDRAC, if I have a problem, I don't have to be in the data center to fix it, and I can remotely manage that server from anywhere.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series is overall a good, stable product that is not giving us any failures. Based upon the processing power required, it serves our purpose well. With 500 users doing CRUD operations, it is serving the purpose well.

The Intel processor in Dell PowerEdge R-Series handles our workload very well compared to what we expected. We are using a three-server cluster, and the overall computing resource being consumed is less than 5 or 10%. This is a very powerful server for our workload.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series is very stable and reliable, provided you do IT management such as performing regular service on the hardware every few months. It is quite stable and good, and it is recommended for the workload that is basically required within the bounds of the computing power that it offers.

The iDRAC feature is really good, especially the alarms. If any hardware failure occurs, we get an alarm and then we take the correct actions. It is a good feature.

I appreciate the manageability of Dell PowerEdge R-Series the most, especially considering that the iDRAC was a great feature that proved to be a lifesaver many times. Overall, I prioritize redundancy more than throughput, so that aspect is really compelling.

Using Dell PowerEdge servers has absolutely helped reduce unplanned production downtime. Before we had them, we experienced unplanned downtime approximately once every two months, and after we implemented Dell PowerEdge R-Series, there has not been any downtime, resulting in a 100% reduction of unplanned downtime from hardware.

Using Dell PowerEdge servers has affected the overall flexibility of my operations. We have gone through several iterations, starting with physical servers, then moving to virtualization, and now we operate a hyper-converged infrastructure, which has definitely given me the ability to be flexible because I have servers in two different rooms, allowing me flexibility regarding redundancy and the ability to move workloads between different servers.

Using Dell PowerEdge servers has helped reduce my Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). I would say it has reduced costs by about 60% compared to when we ran the old way, basically running off individual servers.

I do not have actual statistics on energy consumption with Dell PowerEdge servers, but I see the reduced energy consumption as an overall reduction in cooling needs. Before these servers, the cooling struggled to keep up with maintaining the room temperature, but with the new servers, that is not so much of an issue, so I can make do with less cooling.

I believe the energy use of Dell PowerEdge servers has definitely had a good impact on my organization's sustainability goals. I think we can run them a few degrees higher at a warmer temperature than other servers, which in turn allows me to run the air conditioning at a higher temperature, leading to less power usage overall and creating a compounding effect of power use.

I see reliability as the most valuable function with Dell PowerEdge R-Series because they are truly durable. Our virtualization projects run for at least five years before they are replaced. There are very few defects and the support from Dell is excellent, which is one of the most important things about Dell since the support works great.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has improved our company through its reliability and scalability. These servers can be easily expanded upwards after two or three years and can grow with the company.

Generally, the scalability of Dell PowerEdge R-Series is outstanding. There is everything from very small to very large models, so we can select the model that our company needs. We can size exactly the right model based on our customer's budget and requirements.

From what I've heard from our network engineer, he points out that reliability is key about Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers. I think it's the comfort that he knows them. He knows them inside out. Great support from Dell, never an issue there. The support and reliability are the number one reasons that we keep coming back to the product.

Reliability is number one for Dell PowerEdge R-Series. I think the level of support that we get is also crucial. Those are the two reasons that we come back to it. At the end of the day, it goes back to relationships. A lot of it is knowing that if there's an issue, you can reach out and have a team that's going to back you up, which is very important. When things go wrong, people are calling and expressing frustration. To have that support to guide you through situations is the most important part for us.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has improved our company overall by providing the ability to maintain uptime. We have reliable products that we can manage easily. We store data for decades because of the industry we're in, so being able to expand and know that the product will last and retrieve things that we need from 25 to 30 years ago is still available.

One of the features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I appreciate most is OpenManage and how iDRAC and OpenManage work together. In my opinion, it is far more user-friendly than HPE's solution.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series has significantly affected the overall flexibility of our company operations by providing what we need when we need it. Whenever we do refreshes, which we completed about a month ago, being able to order servers and know they're going to arrive, rather than hoping they show up this year, is a significant advantage.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has improved our supply chain for obtaining them and their parts. I cannot say I had any reliability problems with HPE versus Dell; they are both reliable servers. However, when it came to getting parts we needed or new nodes for expansion, the supply chain made a considerable difference, especially when considering private cloud or on-premises environments where you need to plan ahead and have those servers in-house.

I love the remote management capability of Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers, which I find to be one of the platform’s strongest features. Our servers are hosted in a Tier 3 data center that is a good distance away from the system administrators, so the ability to remotely access, troubleshoot, and manage servers without needing to physically visit the site is extremely valuable.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has helped reduce unplanned production downtime because the servers have proven to be very reliable over the years. We are largely a Dell shop across the organization, including Dell laptops, Dell servers, and Dell storage solutions, and that consistency has helped simplify support and operations. Based on our experience, the reliability and manageability of the platform have given us confidence in continuing with Dell technologies.

I consider the most valuable features to be probably the iDRAC and the management layer interface, which is quite good.

This benefits my company through user management and orchestration. If there's a problem, it's a really easy way to find out how and what the problem is exactly.

I like the BIOS management the most with Dell PowerEdge R-Series. We have a single pane of glass across all of our different nodes, so it's easier to manage. I do enjoy that we have the AMD processors and appreciate the efficiency that it offers us and the versatility. We were previously a Broadcom VMware shop. We've transitioned over into Nutanix, and we've been able to make that migration very easy. We really appreciate that.

One of the great things about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is the racking system, specifically the actual rapid rails for easy installation. After that, it's the reliability and support that stand out.

The rapid rail system is valuable. We have staff working at night to perform installations, and the nature of our business involves real-time transactions with changes made outside of regular hours.

Having the rapid rail system is invaluable. Good support is also crucial due to the nature of our business, which requires timely assistance to maintain system uptime and redundancy.

The management software is the most valuable capability in Dell PowerEdge R-Series, as these functions are my favorites. It is beneficial for the organization. A server is a commodity, and there is not really anything special about it. What makes it special is the software used for managing those devices. The management software is quite mature compared to others. Except for that, it is just a commodity. There is not a big difference between them, regardless of whether you use HPE or Cisco or any other vendor. The benefits are evident in the management capabilities.

The computing power and the flexibility around building the server itself are the features I appreciate most with Dell PowerEdge R-Series. You can work around the number of cores depending on the needs of the customer. Understanding exactly what the customer wants to achieve is essential.

Dell PowerEdge servers have absolutely helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. The reliability and uptime are incredible. One of the interesting aspects about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is that our customers keep coming back, even when they want to do a refresh, because they know it is a reliable system.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series affects the overall flexibility of my operations because it is flexible. You can tailor it towards your needs and customize it according to requirements.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has absolutely helped reduce Total Cost of Ownership because the upfront investment can be recovered in less than a year or two. The server continues to run and serve while performing optimally. You can also perform some upgrades.

What sets Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers apart is Dell’s strong commercial approach compared to HPE; that is often the deciding factor for us. When you combine that with their solid build quality and competitive pricing, they really stand out. The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I like the most are the iDRAC system on board, which is quite easy to set up. Once you have it figured out on one device, you can apply it across all infrastructure and products. The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I prefer the most include the fact that the biggest number of servers we have are VxRail servers, which we love because of their integration with VMware. You purchase it and manage everything together. You do not have to check compatibilities or keep certain versions of the hardware firmware. Everything is done together, so the operation is much easier for us. You have a single line of support from Dell for almost all of the stack, which was really comfortable instead of building our own stack. You have up to the virtualization layer supported by just one source. We love that, and now that this is disappearing, we are deciding to use the product for private cloud. I think it is a really well-thought product based on Dell PowerEdge R-Series and Dell storages because it provides an easy way to transition from the existing VMware to a couple of alternatives and do a really smooth transition. As we are renewing our VxRail farms, we are getting into the private cloud solution.

The ability to standardize and to have not infinite alternatives but to standardize over a few options provides us very granular options. We can decide on how to standardize and how to be flexible enough to support that with a global way of supporting that which is the same in the different parts of the world and consistent across different parts of the world. That is also really important for us. It has been a way of reducing the cost of our operation because of simplification. Simplification is a big thing. By simplifying the offering, the alternatives, and a global support, we have been able to reduce some of the cost of our operation. Also, not just Dell PowerEdge R-Series but the combination with the storage—a flexible storage from the big corporate storage down to flexible PowerStore or PowerFlex—it accommodates perfectly into our needs.

From using Dell PowerEdge R-Series, I've seen benefits in that it's a very popular platform, so we have a lot of information online. If we have something, we don't need to wait for support; we can just Google everything and it's online.

The response from our end-users give us feedback that is positive.

The feature I appreciate most about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is iDRAC, which allows me to connect to the server without having to attach a screen to it. I can connect to the server from almost anywhere as long as I have an IP address, which is absolutely amazing because I don't have to go to the server room to physically work on the server unless it's completely dead and I need to restart it or something else is wrong with it. That's definitely my favorite part of Dell PowerEdge R-Series.

The stability and reliability of Dell PowerEdge R-Series have always been good with minimum downtime. There might have been one or two cases per year where it doesn't go as expected, but that barely happens.

Using Dell PowerEdge servers has affected the overall flexibility of my operations through standardization because we could always order more of the same unit, which accelerated our processes.

The iDRAC is a feature I find very useful because every time I needed to do certain things, by using iDRAC everything was gathered together. I am on my own site, so I have not really had the opportunity to test it remotely, but on-site, I have everything at my fingertips. In terms of usefulness, that is where I struggled the least when I needed more information. I always found everything I needed when I went through iDRAC. As long as it works, I stick with it.

It mainly improves organization when there is a failure because I need it in terms of speed. On the server side, most of the time I have to start the application and search. On iDRAC, I find things much more easily. As I use it more and more, I go faster over time. It is not necessarily me who configures everything at the various clients. The difference is that each server, each client, will set up their own favorites and taskbar icons. Whereas with iDRAC, I do not modify it, everything is in its original state, so we know where to find things, and it is not arranged according to each client's preferences.

The most valuable feature, which is part of the decision to go with Dell, was a cost decision; we could have gone with Cisco or HP as well, but Dell has a very good product portfolio and a very broad product environment.

I think now there are no pros and cons versus HP because all systems are very similar; they provide computing power, resilience, and security features. The pro now is having a Dell ecosystem, as we use Dell clients, Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers, and Dell support, which is why we are married to Dell.

The best features that Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers are the performance and the management it has. Additionally, the technical support is very good, as they usually answer our tickets in a maximum of two or three days for issues we might have, and if they are serious issues, they get back to us that same day with an engineer, whether from Mexico or from the United States.

In terms of performance and management, I find the reaction time and the way they handle services pleasantly surprising. Compared to other equipment we have had from other brands, it is a very big difference, which helps us with our customer solutions.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has positively impacted my organization by improving customer satisfaction significantly, especially with the R660 and R640, as customers now look for this kind of equipment due to its availability and the ability to solve problems and provide solutions to the different situations that arise on a day-to-day basis.

A specific case where customer satisfaction has increased thanks to the availability and responsiveness of Dell PowerEdge R-Series involved a customer who previously only had HP equipment and iLO equipment. When they switched to Dell PowerEdge R660 equipment, it was an improvement in every aspect, including support, performance, profitability, and price. Honestly, there is no comparison with other companies.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series demonstrates tremendous robustness, which is one of the main reasons for continued use. Over many years, there have been maybe one or two minor defects. Support is great when needed. The sales consulting is top-notch, and the delivery speed from Dell with Dell PowerEdge R-Series is incredibly good.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has very good management functions and remote management functions that, with many others, first have to be purchased additionally at high cost, and this is really practical.

Basically, without Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers, it is difficult to do anything for small and medium-sized companies. If the price-performance aspect is right, then they contribute something to the success of the company.

The price-performance ratio with Dell PowerEdge R-Series has always been very good. Everything needed is in the servers.

The best features that Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers include great support, which I have always found to be quite good. Setting up Dell servers, the iDRAC is also very useful, and the way that I can log into the console—the iDRAC console—even when I am working remotely, allows me to check on the health status, firmware requirements, and other related information.

iDRAC and Dell's support have made my day-to-day tasks easier, especially when handling issues remotely. I can always check on the Dell website under the service tag for the current support agreement with Dell. Dell support has always been quite effective in helping me with any hardware issues that I have encountered over the years. I also have a good relationship with my account manager, which has been very handy in that regard. If things with support are not going well, I can escalate to my account manager, which is great.

I do have expansion slots available in my servers for future-proofing. Dell PowerEdge R-Series has impacted my organization positively with its reliability, primarily. It is very rare that I have any hardware issues with my Dell infrastructure. I can trust it, which puts my mind at ease from an infrastructure support point of view.

I do not have any specific examples, apart from the fact that it is very rare that I have any downtime related to Dell hardware in the infrastructure that I have, which makes it much easier for me from a support perspective to provide continuity of service to my end-users.

The best feature that Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers is iDRAC, which I love very much. It has helped us remotely troubleshoot IT devices and servers and monitor them. We can troubleshoot any kind of issue and access it from the same or another network, providing console access directly to the chassis and motherboard.

The iDRAC feature helps my team greatly when dealing with server issues or maintenance. We have troubleshot from home as well. In one scenario, the server dropped and was stuck in BIOS password, so no one could access the server room. However, we accessed the chassis directly, provided the password, and it started.

Regarding hardware reliability, it is the best thing about Dell PowerEdge R-Series. I have not seen much failure in hardware, and it has been very smooth and working. Hardware quality build is very important, and throughout my career, I have seen only one time that the server chassis has failed in the last ten years, out of around almost fifty to seventy servers.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has positively impacted my organization by maintaining uptime. We have already kept a primary and secondary backup server which demonstrate its reliability.

Having a backup with Dell PowerEdge R-Series results in no downtime. If there is downtime, we can directly switch to a secondary server, creating an environment with no need for downtime.

I have appreciated the easy iDRAC management solution of Dell PowerEdge R-Series, including doing firmware updates through that interface and being able to manage it remotely without having to go into the KVM and doing it manually.

The iDRAC feature benefits the company at the end of the day as it allows me to manage it remotely, and if there are any issues or anything I need to troubleshoot, I do not have to run into the office; I can do it from home, so I do not have to worry about it going down and taking an extra 30 minutes to resolve an issue.

Not really have I appreciated any feature about Dell PowerEdge R-Series so far because we are running a hypervisor on it, making it just a server in a rack. However, iDRAC is nice, although HPE iLO is better.

In terms of the interface, HPE is cleaner. Dell is more like a website, requiring us to search everywhere to find a feature to turn on or off, and sometimes it is hard to know where it is set. Of course, that is based on experience, as we are experienced with HPE, but HPE's management interface and their website are cleaner than Dell's. Dell has too much bloatware, too many settings, and it varies with updates, but overall, it is okay, just another way of working.

I have realized benefits so far from running Dell PowerEdges just from a financial standpoint.

The Intel processor handles my workloads well. It is just Intel, and it just works.

The best features Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers in my experience are flexibility. The main feature is flexibility. We can upgrade the memory, disk, and CPU sockets, and they are highly flexible for our day-to-day use and operations. The upgrade cycle is very smooth and non-disruptive. When I mention flexibility with adding memory, disks, and CPU sockets, I can share that since we expect a cloud platform, we have been running these hosts in a cluster. When we need to do a memory upgrade, we can do one by one, keeping the number of operations smooth and up and running. The same applies for the iDRAC and firmware upgrades.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has impacted my organization positively because it is a very flexible solution, and we can use it as very ready nodes. The integration and adaptability are very smooth, allowing very versatile use cases that we have. A specific positive outcome from using Dell PowerEdge R-Series is that normally, with HCI solutions, it requires a big bang kind of an upgrade which necessitates a continuous upgrade cycle. For Dell PowerEdge R-Series, we can pause and break the upgrade cycle, keeping it in the maintenance window. We do not need to have a long, continuous seven days or fifteen days upgrade cycle, which is very good from an operational standpoint.

We really appreciate the security features that are built into the iDRAC within Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. They are modular, and we can build and request servers in the same way, whether it's now, six months from now, or a year from now. They're consistent. The user experience is consistent across them. It doesn't matter if you're logging into a T160 or a T350, or an older T330, that experience is the same across the board. Even with the new versions of iDRAC, technicians and our support teams are comfortable logging in and can navigate around easily enough without having to learn something new.

There are cost benefits of using Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. Since we buy many of them, plus they're smaller, they're very efficient regarding CPU and power. We can max out that process on that RAM and have it run four or five years without worrying about having any issues or thermal problems.

There is essentially no learning curve. The iDRAC features are heavily used for our out-of-band management with Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. Other servers have similar products, and having the license included with the server is beneficial rather than as an additional charge later.

We're working on implementing support agents and business intelligence work within the next year, currently determining our hardware needs and data storage requirements.

Due to the fact that we use Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers in both data centers and dealerships, we can move workloads seamlessly. If a dealership wants to move to a hosted environment, we can transfer that workload from the physical server directly to our data center, and vice versa.

New Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers consistently perform better as technology improves. The progression from 7200 RPM disks to 10K disks, 15K disks, and now to SSDs and NVMe storage has led to substantial improvements. As NVMe generations advance from Gen4 to Gen5, the throughput improves significantly. Newer servers with updated technology provide faster throughput, more IOPS, and less power consumption with solid-state storage. The newer Xeon processors are more power-efficient while handling increased workload.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series that I value most are stability and the configuration mix that it can provide. Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime because the environments have been very stable, which is a significant advantage for us. Running on-premises makes it very difficult to manage all of the complexities, whereas when it is on the cloud, it is much easier. However, with Dell's technology, it has been very easy for us to manage, whether it involves the switching or the servers.

The best features include CPU speed, as clients typically use 2.3 GHz CPUs. It provides multiple choices for CPU use and clock speed, ranging from 2.5 to 3.2 GHz. Regarding memory, it offers the latest memory sets for very fast access. The newer technology, after NVMe technology, ensures excellent performance with Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. For external storage connectivity, it also supports HVA ports with speeds of 25 Gbps and 32 Gbps, which match network bandwidth, providing great performance and reduced latency. The servers also consume less energy compared to HCI VxRail.

What I like the most about Dell PowerEdge R-Series is the support.

Each server has a service tag number that is easy to locate and identify, and I can access chat support, so there is no need to look up contracts or deal with any of that; getting to support is very quick.

The features of Dell PowerEdge R-Series I like the most are the remote access and the iDRAC, just being able to remote into the backend when something's not working.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series helps my company because it saves us having to drive to our data center. If something's down, we can just remote in from the management port. We don't have to drive there. This saves time and we can get applications up faster.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. I would say unplanned downtime has been reduced by approximately 80%. The servers themselves are already pretty stable, and when there's an issue, we can remote in immediately.

Using Dell PowerEdge R-Series has affected the overall flexibility of my operations positively.

The most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is its reliability. Once we transitioned to an all-flash storage solution within the servers and the hyper-converged setup, we haven't had a disk failure in six years. Being able to not worry about hardware on a day-to-day basis is a really big thing for me. By using this reliable system, the combination of the servers and the hyper-converged setup saves us a ton of time on the management side. I remember managing a separate SAN for storage that involved creating LUNs and provisioning virtual disks for VMs. Now, it's just all combined, and we don't have to worry about it in our day-to-day.

The most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is that it's very common.

We've seen a lot of reliability with Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. I just turned off a server that's been on for 11 years. That was a 410 that ran forever. From our point of view, they get good value in what they bought, and it continues to run, so we continue to buy them. It's a very stable, reliable product. The biggest benefit compared to HP is the iDRAC feature. HP has an iLO, but we've had more issues with that and its configuration than we have with the iDRAC and its configuration of the Dell server itself.

We've been impacted by data center issues with Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, however, typically not from the server side. We have only lost maybe two power supplies out of about 80 servers. They just run forever.

The best features Dell PowerEdge R-Series offers are basically the ease of use and stability. I am more focused on the performance reliability besides that. I am quite satisfied with Dell PowerEdge product.

When I mention ease of use and reliability, when the hardware is plugged into the rack, we just install VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V. We can basically run the system on our own without any interference from Dell support. The reliability part is that it seldom has any issues. Even though sometimes there is a hardware failure, we are able to notice it immediately and call for support to do the maintenance immediately.

Dell PowerEdge R-Series has positively impacted my organization by helping us to streamline the hardware that we need to take care of because everything is such that Dell PowerEdge allowed the virtualization to be run on the servers, and it actually helped us to combine all the systems into less process and allowed us to do high availability setup within our premises.

I am a fan of its ability to handle the evolving needs of high-performance workloads. It's very demanding. I mostly use it with a CPU load of nearly eighty to ninety percent, with workloads where we take the maximum output from the servers on the cloud. It has been sustainable and reliable in terms of compute.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers have helped reduce our downtime by a lot. The production downtimes are mostly planned. My system is designed in a resilient way, but with PowerEdge Servers, I don't need a one-to-one ratio redundancy, which leads to about eighty percent downtime reduction. It has also reduced operational overheads related to support and operations.

I like that it is stable. Things become very difficult over time when you increase the security. In Dell's case, it is very stable, and I like that it's very process-oriented.

The security is on par to the global standard. We always get market standard security. Upgrades run smoothly and seemlessly.

Their biggest strength is their stability under heavy workloads and their long term reliability. I don't think they have any weaknesses.

The benefits of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are its resilience, cost-effectiveness, and easy manageability. Our IT professionals are quite familiar with the technology, and we receive great customer support as well. We appreciate the resiliency because we can spread out our load of service between three hosts. That gives us redundancy if we need to do maintenance, or if we have an issue with any of the memory or hard drives in any of the servers. The storage itself is built with plenty of RAID, which means that data corruption and data loss are reduced significantly.

It has benefited us by eliminating downtime. Our servers have been resilient, and we've been able to do maintenance without any issues. We have truly not had any downtime on the infrastructure at all, whereas before we implemented this resilience, there were occasional downtimes that the organization needed to deal with.

The most valuable feature we find in the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is the iDRAC. We value the iDRAC for its out-of-band management for the servers; servers are servers for the most part, but the iDRAC is the bread and butter of the PowerEdge server series. The ability to do everything through that iDRAC interface is a key for us, allowing us to perform tasks remotely without needing to physically touch anything. Everything can be done through APIs via the iDRAC, making it a very powerful tool we rely on regularly. Its integration into other products, such as OpenManage Enterprise, drives us to use the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers as a whole.

The most valuable feature, when I compare Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers with other brands available, is the price versus performance, as I get more for what I pay, and mostly, we use this for our CAD workloads. In terms of price-to-performance ratio, I can see at least a 10 to 12% difference when I choose a little cheaper option with Dell compared to others.

The benefits to my organization are huge because we are a big company, around 100 billion, so that small amount multiplies into something significant. The best features of the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are the service, the availability of the equipment, and the relational price quality.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are very useful for our organization's sustainability goals, as the system is running flawlessly. We have experienced trouble with the memory unit and a hard disk, but this occurs in all servers at the end of their useful life. In the five years, we had a few minor problems, but they were always addressed by Dell in Argentina.

Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers offer good flexibility and expandability to our business. The migration was very easy since the SAP consultants handled the migration of the databases and the ERP, SAP. We contracted them, and it was flawless, managing to conduct the migration of the two servers over a weekend.

In terms of customization, Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are very highly customizable and we appreciate that feature. My impression of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers' impact on our organization's sustainability goals is good; they are helping out. Using Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers has helped me to reduce unplanned production downtime by 100%. We used to use Lenovo and IBM servers, and with Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers, I would say we have at least 20% better reliability and more uptime. In terms of stability, Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are very stable, with no lagging or crashing.

The iDRAC is the most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers; the out-of-band management is absolutely fantastic, especially when you institute roles that prevent access to the data center, and being able to do it remotely is fantastic.

Initial setup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance have benefited the organizations I work with since everything has been more streamlined, especially when you add OME into it. Whether it's connected to the internet or not, the on-prem versions still function fantastically.

The most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is their integrated iDRAC and the way that the servers are built; it's pretty space optimized, so users can get a lot of functionality in there for whatever they're working on.

The monitoring for the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is great; we get all the alerts, we get everything about it, and we avoid outages thanks to the features of the iDRAC.

We got all the alerts we needed in time, so we knew we could get parts dispatched and everything else, and it's gotten better. They've got AI monitoring for the stuff, so now they're telling us about drives that are failing before we notice them ourselves.

The features of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers that I find most valuable include the ability to have different servers and different services hosted on one server, and the ability to connect them between other storage servers or appliances. These features definitely provide additional value to the end user, customers, company, and are reliable within the time frames that customers and clients demand.

Looking at the new models, they have greatly improved the cooling system, which is a significant advantage. In my experience, there were times when components overheated, but they have improved that aspect.

The most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is the iDRAC, because it allows me to remotely access it from my computer without having to plug in a monitor and keyboard. I can see what's wrong and manually push updates if needed. For example, we recently had a motherboard that was bad, and iDRAC informed me of the faulty component, which is helpful because it saves me from guessing what's wrong.

The biggest benefit in the product is mainly because Dell PowerEdge R-Series is a well-known company with very good support. The most valuable feature of Dell PowerEdge R-Series server is the processing speed. The processing speed is the most important thing that we are looking for in a server, and we want it to function fast as the latency is the most important between the end user and our servers to get the application and to get the feedback from the application.

We have monitoring systems that allow us to see the improvement without benchmarking, including latency and the time taken by Dell PowerEdge R-Series servers to access data from storage and return it.

One of the most valuable features of the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is the redundancy that's built into it: redundant power supplies and redundant RAM modules. It takes care of itself in many cases.

One thing I appreciate about the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers 17s is the numerous new features.

I appreciate the smaller footprint in terms of its efficiency in the racks, less power consumption, and more modular design for installing other components. Hopefully, the components won't be as expensive as installing extra drives and other components. I'm hoping the cost will be driven down by making them more modular.

They make that very user-friendly and easy. In terms of working with the platform regarding driver compatibility, firmware, and the hypervisor, it is excellent.

The price-to-performance ratio of the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers is good, and performance is great. It is comparable and acceptable.

Besides the minor issues, the Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers are rock solid and have been for several years now. That is why we continue to use and deploy them.

The feature of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers that I value the best is the iDRAC, as it is extremely good and simplifies tasks. It is very rigid and very durable, which is why most people continue buying these servers on a regular basis.

Dell has supported growth and operational success within those companies we resell to through the backend support, which is extremely good. Dell is the only organization now that has products from clients to storage, networking, and all data center devices. There is no other organization in the market which has all these products.

Dell makes it extremely easy for customers to buy. They get one-on-one support for all products. The support has been extremely good compared to other brands. Previously, before implementing Dell PowerEdge R-Series server, we had another server from another brand, and we had some latency when closing processes or creating a new process that was being carried out at the time. There are two valuable features for me. Number one, we are always at the edge of technology, Dell is a great partner, so going to Austin to the HBC Lab, so we can test machines and platforms before they go commercial so we can adapt our developments because we plug homemade cards into the Servers. We have to make sure they're compatible. That's the development side.

On the operations side, the value of service is always underestimated in terms of debugging, availability of spare parts, and the fact that they don't explode weekly. The quality of the products, the monitoring, the managed enterprise, pro support, TechDirect, self-dispatch of spare parts, etcetera, all of this allows us to run in the order of 500 servers if you take other clusters together. It is a tenth of a human host of a full-time equivalent. This means that if you would scale up linearly, one person could take care of 3000 Servers. That's quite impactful. Google published three people for 1000. We are doing one person for 3000. That allows us to free human resources for other tasks. The last time somebody had to go to the data center for support was five months ago. We could do many functions remotely, so there was no hardware fault. We could do daily maintenance remotely through iDRAC. Its remote management capabilities are one in a lifetime. I don't know any other platforms that offer the same level of manageability.

We like the iDRAC card which gives us remote access to the server out of band. That's fantastic because if a box is misbehaving, I'm able to get into the bare metal and repair the operating system without needing to go out to the branch office, which could be anywhere in the UK. That's one of the features which we really like in the PowerEdge T150 server.

In addition, it's all in one box. It has

  • fault tolerance built-in
  • RAID 1 sets
  • dual power supplies.

I need a reliable box. If there is a power supply failure or a drive failure, I'm able to rectify that problem without visiting the customer. And if it's a more serious event, I've got iDRAC so that I can get into it.

The box comes pre-installed with Windows Server 2022, which was one of the reasons we purchased the T150. The licensing was bundled with it, and it has a very attractive price point as a result. But with Windows Server 2022 sitting on the box, the applications interface with that. The applications we run don't talk to the Dell hardware.

Within the native-OS security features, we encrypt the OS disks and that has increased security.

The solution hasn't helped to reduce unplanned production downtime for us, but I know it can do so. It has what HPE calls Automatic System Recovery. Dell calls it the Watchdog Timer. I haven't had a blue screen or system hang yet, but I'm aware that if the system OS freezes, then the Dell Watchdog Timer built into the T150 will automatically restart the server. In that scenario, it would most certainly help with uptime by recovering from an operating system freeze. The T150 certainly ticks that box. I haven't had to see it in action yet, but the technology is there and it is enabled, and the business is happy with that.

A lot of the features of the PowerEdge 650s cascade down to the T150, which is great.

Consistency and reliability are valuable. They provide good support for part replacement, and when they cannot because the part is unavailable, they are pretty good at informing us and letting us know, but generally, these servers just sit in the data center and have been working 24/7 for years without any problems.

The Dell name holds a lot of weight on our position as a partner of Dell's when it comes to liquid cooling the systems. We have a great relationship with Dell, so we are able to exchange information very easily to be able to build these systems for our customers. When it comes to converting one of these to liquid cooling, we need to know a lot of information about the sub-components, the vendors, and the firmware inside PSUs. Without a strong relationship with our IT partner Dell, we would not be able to do that effectively and quickly to meet the lead times of our customers.

Dell PowerEdge systems are very strong or well-rounded systems. A lot of people like the 4th and 5th generation Xeon that has been implemented into PowerEdge. Xeon has a good advantage when it comes to the inputting element of AI systems, and, of course, Intel also has a good name. However, from our position, as a partner and as a systems integrator, the real strength is the relationship that we have with Dell and being able to exchange that information.

The servers just work. They don't let us down. We like the reliability combined with management. The price is good too.

If you have to replace parts, Dell was one of the first companies to make a system where you could click out one thing and just plug in another one. HP and IBM did not allow for that. You always needed to use a screwdriver. And I wasn't allowed to have one. With Dell, on the servers, you always had the option to swap out boards very easily, and that was great. Now, other companies do that, too. However, Dell was one of the first to offer that option.

In terms of energy consumption, it depends. If there are a lot of calculations, then you use a lot of power. If you need less, then you use less power. When we deliver it to customers, the power used is based on their power consumption. I'm not selecting servers based on power consumption. I base the choice on procedures and quality.

It's able to handle the evolving needs of high-performance workloads. We don't have any issues with it. If you make a good design and select the right sizing, you don't have any issues.

I've been consistently impressed by the exceptional build quality of Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers. Having tried solutions from HP and other manufacturers, Dell's service stands out as demonstrably superior. Both internally and with external clients, it consistently exceeds expectations and optimizes our operations. This unwavering reliability is the cornerstone of our continued partnership with Dell. Moreover, the exceptional craftsmanship extends beyond service. These servers have proven to be remarkably dependable, experiencing minimal malfunctions. While routine hard drive replacements are to be expected based on internal components, the overall hardware integrity has been truly outstanding.

We're a global web hosting company with data centers throughout the world, so we need lots of powerful, reliable, and efficient servers. That’s what Dell PowerEdge servers are. We've been using them for many years and trust the product.

It has good quality control, and some of my colleagues were able to see this first-hand during a visit to the Dell factory.

We received good demo equipment that helped us pick the best solutions for our business. Plus, we can choose optimal setups and configurations that best fit the needs of our web, cloud, and virtual private server hosting clients.

The servers always arrive with the latest firmware and are very good at handling high-performance workloads. They meet our ever-growing needs, including those associated with AI.

The pricing is very flexible, and the commitment to delivery and working with partners is excellent.

Dell offers us good warranties and is very good at delivering on them when necessary.

In terms of energy consumption, PowerEdge servers are okay. We do find Dell servers to be more efficient than others; however, it depends on the CPU usage and workload. Our newest processors are more power-efficient, and NVMe SSD disc drives help save even more energy. User-friendly OpenManage console helps us efficiently manage the lifecycle of PowerEdge servers. However, we are not using it at full scale.

The servers are easy to set up, and we use a variety of server security features in our current environment. An important advantage is that we can make OS patches and hotfixes without a reboot.

While it's not specific to the PowerEdge side of it, I do like the new feature in the Dell servers, the BOSS system [Boot Optimized Storage Solution]. That is really nice. I don't know if it's unique to Dell, but I like it.

And when it comes to handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads, the PowerEdge Rack Servers are fit for purpose. They do what they need to do.

I am also grateful for the security features, including the signed firmware, drift detection, and BIOS recovery.

I haven't done any energy monitoring of our servers because I don't have a big enough server farm to need to monitor our power consumption at that level. It's not like I need to turn off half of our fleet to save costs during downtime hours. We have a very small footprint as far as service systems go. Having said that, the PowerEdge servers are probably more energy efficient than the older ones we have because the older ones are a lot bigger. They have a lot more active hard drives and spinning disks. These new servers are nice, clean SSDs. Overall, power consumption will have gone down.

I use the Dell OpenManage console on occasion when I'm investigating an issue with the server, but thankfully, that doesn't happen very often. Using the console is pretty straightforward. I don't have any complaints about it.

The iDRAC is an excellent service; it allows us to install and deploy our software remotely.

The OpenManage app is another excellent service, and VMware supports it. There is no problem with drivers because we can get all of them via VMware or Dell.

The solution is an excellent platform for handling the needs of high-performance workloads, it's a good server for high performance.

The solution's approach to security with signed firmware, drift detection, and BIOS recovery is robust and accessible. We can monitor the security landscape easily via OpenManage.

The solution's energy consumption is excellent for managing the power supply, as it is very efficient thanks to built-in power factor correction. The power consumption depends upon the load; it increases with a high CPU load, and we manage this through Windows. We can also use OpenManage to fine-tune the power management.

The major market players are HP and Dell, and we find Dell to be the more cost-effective server. We're also satisfied with its features; the security, management, remote management, and reliability are all favorable.

We chose to preinstall Microsoft Windows Server with the Dell PowerEdge servers based on the cost. The OEM licensing is cheaper than buying it any other way.

It is quite flexible when you use it.

The support is good.

I like how you can type in the asset tag and download all the drives.

Finding information about the server is simple.

It helps with the evolving needs of workloads. They've also been very quick with good value for the speed of the processor. They offer very good high-performance workloads.

The assigned firmware updates are very good. If you have an OS that doesn't work well or is suffering, we are able to fix the server much faster.

It has very good user management.

The energy consumption is good, although we haven't compared it to anything else.

The OpenManage console is great. You can configure and gain visibility. When you are doing firmware upgrades, you can configure items.

The user interface is very well designed.

It's helped improve our productivity. It allows for pretty quick fault finding and when it takes less time to find the fault, you waste less of the technician's time.

Our OS is 2012 and we will be leveraging the latest cybersecurity systems when we update our OS.

The solution has improved our IT infrastructure. The removal of any single points of failure, allowed us to really reduce any hardware-related downtime. We realized improvements within three to six months. We don't get that kind of hardware downtime anymore using the active-active two-carriage servers. It's been a major improvement in downtime.

The PowerEdge service has positively impacted our IT infrastructure and its ability to handle the demands of the remote distributed workforce. We can easily deploy new VMs and have open storage. It's far better than the old approach. It allows you to be flexible and to be faster at fixing items and changing to different environments.

We use ERP, which is critical to our business. It's an SQL Server-based ERP system. The integration is very good. It helps the apps work very well. It is important to have the integration of the apps and workloads for our business demands. We use a variety of different approaches. We do have to make sure that we have our network configured correctly with VLANs. We have good user management. We have EDR software installed and run computers. We also have firewalls that proactively act as a strong Umbrella.

PowerEdge has helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. For example, being able to upgrade the firmware through the IDAC when there's a problem with the server is very helpful. The redundancy built into the service is good, and the fact that there's no single point of failure between the servers and the SAN is also very good.

We haven't faced any problems with the power supplies. The consumption of power is robust. We still have slots for the new hard discs for availability and upgrading RAM, but the machine itself has been working nonstop for ten years.

We haven't faced any problems with new demands for digital transformation and infrastructure development.

The system is very updated. The machine itself is secure, but it depends on the client's environment and security strategy.

PowerEdge has good value for energy consumption. We know this from other vendors that have the same data centers that we used to work with. It provides better performance in terms of power consumption. More power is saved with the use of a full cabinet of PowerEdge servers versus other solutions with multi-servers.

We work in environments with systems in analytics, AI, Hadoop infrastructure, open source, and data gathering. We have those kinds of servers in our setups, and we never face problems when running the latest high-demand applications. We have an advantage in getting those results on PowerEdge servers rather than other servers.

We had some applications in artificial intelligence. Some of the clients are starting to adopt those use cases. We didn't face any problems adopting those kinds of solutions, although it's still an open discussion.

We are very familiar with the Dell portal, updates, supports, and assessments.

The integrated Dell Remote Access Controller telemetry for monitoring the PowerEdge system data and providing analytics is very simple and accessible. For centralized management, it's a good value. These kinds of implementations in a big data center make a difference.

We have CloudIQ in the machine learning systems that we are implementing for some of our clients, and those are based on Dell PowerEdge. We have those kinds of predictive analytics, and the hardware is doing great so far.

Dell EMC is a combination of processing, storage, and power. We're in a really good position in terms of technology, trends, and the leaders in the market.

Dell has different types of servers that can fit different types of businesses.

The MX7000 gives us the most concentrated amount of computing in the smallest area possible. It also has the ability to provide a large amount of bandwidth to the blades. This is important because it gives the user the ability to move as much data on and off of the blade platforms as quickly as possible.

The iDRAC telemetry is very useful for monitoring the system and providing analytics. You can use commands from the CLI, you can use scripting, you can use the REST interface, or you can use the point-and-click GUI. It's very flexible. I prefer using scripts because I monitor many blades and many chassis. I can script a lot of my monitoring requirements.

The accelerated GPU feature helps to support demanding workloads that we run. For instance, they provide better performance for remote desktop sessions.

The blades are hot-swappable and in a virtual environment, being able to upgrade your hardware platform easily to better and faster hardware is a benefit.

I like Dell PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel. It is a good, high performance server. It is easy to manage, especially with the iDRAC.

iDRAC is its most valuable feature. The management from the iDRAC port is useful for me because my server is located in Australia, and I need to manage it from Israel. Therefore, it is useful for troubleshooting.

There is flexibility to use a lot of storage on the server. It has the ability to have it as a RAID and support that. This is most useful for me in the case of a malfunction in one or two drives. It is like having a server and storage together, i.e., hyperconverged. We can manage this remotely.

In regards to security, I have noticed that we can implement Active Directory to the iDRAC. It is more secure that way. Then, everyone can access it as they please.

We use Intel Xeon Scalable processors in our PowerEdge Rack Servers. They have very much helped to improve the performance of our targeted workloads.

The go-to-market implementation was pretty fast. The go-to-market speed for us was pretty important at the time we had to implement that infrastructure.

When it comes to PowerEdge rack servers handling the evolving needs of workloads, I have support from Dell partners. They constantly assess improvements for us and other versions of items on products. I keep up to date with it via my partners.

We use Dell's Optane to obtain memory in the PowerEdge environment. It helped save money in that aspect, as far as adding memory capacity. We used to negotiate these kinds of platforms and renewal with our partners on a full scale. We have a lot of cost-saving with this infrastructure.

The versatility has been great. We have several different configurations with different networking capabilities, different capacity, throughput, and configurations. I work on a dark site in a classified environment. I can't really comment too much beyond that.

PowerEdge is great for handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads like VDI, AI, and SAP on multi-cloud. We're very happy with their performance. We're lucky enough to also have Dell and VMware. We call them a TAM specialist on-site. If we have any problems, they respond to them quickly.

Since we are in a classified environment, we appreciate the security specifications very much. It helps us as we have to do our own assessments and those security features help us to get our paperwork done.

We use Dell's Optane Memory in our PowerEdge environment. I’m not sure if it’s saved money, I’m really not on the financial side. We have a budget and then we go and shop for the best bang for the buck. Since we are using that feature, it does save us money. However, I can’t say how much.

We do use Dell's OpenManage console. It is easy to use this console for lifecycle management or PowerEdge servers. We use it primarily when we have a network issue or if we can't access the servers our usual way. It's very convenient as a secondary way to access it. As far as life cycle management, that's what we use when we need to do our upgrades, firmware, and the like. It's very valuable. It’s increased our IT staff's productivity, however, I can't tell by how much.

Using PowerEdge helped to reduce unplanned production downtime by 20% to 25%.

The most valuable aspects include hot swapping and the elasticity as far as being able to scale. We had a bunch of stuff on an old, existing EMC. The company was unaware that they had to keep the files that they had for so long. We realized that once we were meeting the seven-year mark and we could start purging some of those files, we had to scale down a little bit.

The initial purchase that we had was a little big, however, as we started adding more users that were working from home and had their own drive, OneDrive, we had to expand it a little bit. Dell was able to ship me bigger hard drives.

When it comes to running the latest high-demand applications, PowerEdge is good. The VMware that we had was almost end-of-life, so we had to upgrade it and Dell helped out with that quite a bit, putting it on our PowerEdge and assisting us with a lot of stuff that VMware didn’t. VMware just said, "Here. Here's your product. Good luck.” Dell was a lot more helpful. They had a lot of engineers that knew about that service that we were trying to tap into a little better.

The BIOS recovery was something we used because we had a huge power outage and a power strike when one of our air conditioners had a bad power surge run through it at our facility. Dell helped us rebuild our actual BIOS system in it, as one of the mirror arrays that we were using just wasn't being seen. We were afraid it was a hardware issue, however, it was really a BIOS issue that we couldn't see right off the jump. We’re glad Dell was there to help.

The solution's analytics helped to decrease production downtime by at least 30%. I'm in Arizona and down in Tucson we don't get that much downtime. We have a lot of battery backups, we have a generator system, and more. However, when it does happen, the analytics of it, as far as the trends on what months the monsoon season hits, it kept all in the logs.

The system management capabilities of PowerEdge helped increase stack productivity. We've had a little bit of turnover in our system admin department, however, having the ability to go back and look through the logs and see how users ended up using their home drive, their shared files, and their encrypted files really helped out my new guys coming on board.

The solution's accelerated GPUs help support demanding workloads in our organization. We had a couple of changing workloads due to the fact that when people shifted from home, they were hitting the server from a different angle. They were coming in off a virtual private network instead of being on-premises and the system didn't blink.

I’m not sure if PowerEdge helped to reduce data processing time in our organization as we don't crunch a lot. We do have a lot of videos coming in and a lot of video editing going on, so in that way, it does help.

The PowerEdge system management frameworks enable us to progress towards full automation. We knew what we were looking for when we refreshed this last model and we purchased a new server just from the analytics we got off the first one.

It helps me forecast better. We don't grow exponentially. Teachers are hard to come by, however, some will leave and some will stay. The business models are the same, yet they expect more. Now they want to do a video. They want to capture and record the videos and the Zoom meetings that they're doing, therefore, it's a little different.

Dell PowerEdge servers are powerful. They don't break, and I love that. In my career of over 30 years now, all the Dell servers we've ever used out of the box have never broken.

On top of that, when we had an air conditioning failure and I came in after a weekend, the temperature in the server room was 110 degrees. Inside the cases themselves, it was over 220 degrees. The only thing we lost was a backplane on one of the servers. This alone speaks for the durability of the Dell servers, and we've never gone away from Dell servers ever.

They are fantastic in terms of performance as well.

As for PowerEdge's approach to security, I would rate it very high. The tools provided by Dell update the BIOS and everything else, and the software is running on the server at all times. It is proactive and alerts me. It's taken a load off of my shoulders compared to how it was 20 years ago. I would have to go to their site and find out what was new. Now, I can just go to the computer or the server, and right there, it will tell me what needs to be done.

The security is pretty strong. When we use ethical hackers to hack us, the Dell servers are never the issue.

In terms of power consumption, I have no complaints at all about PowerEdge Rack Servers. My server room's APC, which is a battery backup system, is a full-mounted rack. It handles all the power coming from all our PowerEdge servers. We have never once had to scale it up at all in the almost 20 years that I've been working with them. It's moving technology in and out nonstop, and it shows you that these servers are fantastic. They don't really shift that much in power needs.

We can manage and configure all the storage systems ourselves. We have a lot more liberty there. When we add more things like storage servers, we can manage the backup. We are on the safer side since we have our own infrastructure and we have a good backup mechanism. It's more easy and more convenient for a system admin to manage these environments.

Poweredge has helped our organization. The model we're using is great. We had issues with an older model, however, this new one has been good. We have some production environments in our system. We shifted those to the new systems, and so far, I'm happy with the performance.

The power is cyber resilience is good. So far, with the security upgrades, it's quite good.

We have three or four servers and so far, it's going very well.

It's helped us reduce unplanned downtime. We have PowerEdge in collaboration with VMware. That's going well so far. We can utilize various features, like, B Motion, et cetera, to manage zero downtime.

The iDRAC for remote access is the most useful feature because it's built into the machine. I can reboot them without having to be there physically. We do a lot of what we do remotely, and it handles that fine.

Also, the signed firmware, drift detection, and BIOS recovery are useful features in the current security climate. Physically, they're reasonably secure, with locking mechanisms on the physical hardware, and the update processes for firmware fall within the parameters we require for our security.

The OpenManage console for lifecycle management provides an intuitive user experience. The interface is easy to understand. In terms of our IT staff's productivity, it makes things quicker. It's a lot quicker to access OpenManage remotely than actually having to go and look at the server. It depends on where the server is and where most of our staff are. It could save five minutes or it could save two hours. It has also decreased the time it takes to deploy new data centers.

We started working on Dell servers more than a decade ago. I think it was the 910 version, and its main advantage was the ability to load a lot of in-core memory into the box. It's irrelevant today because everybody can provide as much as they want, but we had memory issues in the beginning.

We were running out of memory, and that was the first time we heard of a solution that supports a terabyte of core memory. That was the primary reason we got the first box. We've stayed with it since then because we have so many Dell workstations.

Dell servers are easy to use. We've never had a problem. We do more hardware work with workstations, including adding and replacing cards. It's easy compared to what we used to do with screwdrivers years ago.

The management portal is essential because it gives you a lot of flexibility. You don't have to be at the location to manage the server. You can power it on and off remotely or start an installation remotely. All you need to do is connect it to the network and you can do things from thousands of miles away. That is essential when working with data centers. You don't want to be there but you want to have full control remotely.

Another valuable feature is that it's a Dell and that means it's a reliable product.

  • I love the updates from the iDRAC, they are very nice.
  • The installation is easy.
  • Replacement, if something fails, is so easy and so good.

PowerEdge Rack Servers powered by Intel are also good at handling high-performance workloads. It depends on the CPU, of course, and the type of server, but the performance is great.

In addition, all the security features work great. That is a very important part.

Dell's OpenManage console is user-friendly. You can connect to everything from Dell. The features I've found to be most valuable are integrated management, hardware flexibility, and the latest technology that Dell brings to the table.

We deploy PowerEdge servers in a hyperconverged environment, and often, the workloads are compute- and network-intensive workloads. The PowerEdge servers are capable of taking on more workloads and offering more benefits to the customers.

We extensively rely on PowerEdge servers' security features, and we use APIs offered by Dell systems so that we can enable those security features depending on customer requirements.

iDRAC Telemetry does offer a lot of capabilities, and we expose those capabilities to our customers. We use iDRAC extensively for managing the systems, report generation, understanding firmware deviation and drift, and many other capabilities.

PowerEdge servers are good for handling and evolving high-performance workloads. We get everything that we need.

The biggest needs within our company are performance, stability, and support. If and when something goes wrong hardware-wise, a quick resolution is always a wonderful thing to have.

We do not use Dell's memory in our PowerEdge environment. We do use them separately.

PowerEdge Rack Servers have helped to reduce unplanned production downtime. The firmware updates that have been pushed out have reduced the amount of DIMM memory failures or false alarms. That's been really good. That's the main concern we have.

The R6 series has been very valuable as it's more cost-effective and it has a lot of features. Based on the requirements, we found the R6 Series would be best suited for our customers. Reliability-wise, it's also great.

PowerEdge is for handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads, including VDI, AI, and SAP. We did run PowerEdge servers with virtual workloads, especially on VDI. We realized that SSD is necessary, especially with VMware vSphere platforms as the IO requirements are quite high.

In terms of security, there’s been no issue from our side. In terms of BIOS, it is secure and we can go and log into BIOS to change certain settings.

PowerEdge is good for energy consumption. PowerEdge Servers run on optimal voltage. Compared to other competitors or other brands, the power rating is great.

We use iDRAC for many years already. It's an item we need to buy. We’ve had no problems so far. We use it for monitoring purposes to configure SNMP and the servers.

PowerEdge analytics helped to decrease production downtime.

The data points I’d draw attention to for potential customers depend on how much the customer is going to spend. If there is a certain budget, we would plan around their budget. In terms of analytics, most of the time, our monitoring service is able to collect the data metrics already, so having PowerEdge analytics is a complement to our existing monitoring system. While it's good to have, it depends of course on the customer's budget. If their budget is small, we will take away analytics to save costs.

PowerEdge helped to reduce our customer’s data processing time. In fact, they were getting a lot of data from here, from their data processing. We also partner with some Big Data Analytics which run data points. In terms of PowerEdge, it's running fine except for certain power failures from time to time. In terms of how much they’ve reduced the data processing producing power, I don't have the metrics to comment on.

PowerEdge systems management frameworks enable us to progress towards full automation when it comes to managing PowerEdge. We find it very useful in terms of automation, the setup, and configuration, as it does offer setup and proper checks. With the servers, we just need to set our black bar and then push down the setup and configurations box into PowerEdge and we run after that.

There are a lot of features. To be specific, the amount of virtual memory that we can use and the scalability are something that I like much. If you ask me what is the best feature, I would say the scalability. I don't have to invest in the new servers when I can scale this one. That is something which helped us a lot.

PowerEdge is great for handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads. I'd rate it an eight out of ten.

I would rate PowerEdge’s approach to security with its signed Firmware, drift detection, and BIOS at a ten out of ten. Everything is easy to upgrade. It's easy to maintain and easy to work with.

In terms of energy consumption, it's consuming less than the previous servers.

We use PowerEdge for artificial intelligence applications. Our developers and QA use it and our developers develop the AI feature products.

Using artificial intelligence does solve problems for us in terms of using the servers for our developers.

The PowerEdge Eye Track telemetry for monitoring system data and providing analytics helps us get the job done and makes it easier in terms of monitoring.

PowerEdge has accelerated us in order to help support our demanding workloads.

The monitoring system is really helpful. I'm a one-man team, and I run systems and IT for a pretty big company. The ease of use of being able to flip through a browser tab was the most valuable feature for me.

As for handling the evolving needs of high-performance workloads, PowerEdge has a lot more flexibility for scaling. It has everything that you would want for a business that's growing.

In terms of PowerEdge's approach to security with its firmware and drift detection, there have been no issues with any updates or security breaches.

The company had to move to a new building, and one of the main concerns was energy consumption. As far as I know, there were a lot of eco settings present to make sure that the PowerEdge Rack Servers used the proper amount of energy.

I've had zero downtime in the three and a half years I've been in the company. Prior to my time, I do know that the uptimes of the systems were very long. From all the records and logs of the previous IT administrator, I can see that there were no issues with the servers.

iDRAC is one of the most valuable features, as well as having BMC.

The real advantage to Dell when I look at some of the other competitors is the support. The support is better than Lenovo and HP. For example, it's much easier to get replacement components, and we can get service out to customers as quickly as possible. There aren't as many hoops to jump through. It's just not as challenging. This is one of the big reasons we stick with Dell.

The iDRAC telemetry for monitoring PowerEdge system data and providing analytics is a good feature. We have a lot of the sensor data that we capture, and it's very useful to our customers. Being able to pull that out and tell them the consistency of their product is a good value-add to sell.

The solution has always had very good performance.

The availability/scalability is excellent.

Their technical support is always helpful. They have a very good support timeline that lasts not just a year or two, but even five years down the line. It's a long-term arrangement.

The solution is highly scalable, with a two-socket server, CPU support, and the M.E.N SST.

It can support VDI.

You can combine these servers. Therefore, not only do they work with virtual environments, you can have them as a Data Analytics server. They can handle a lot of heavy processes. They are one of the main big servers that can handle a lot of things. For example, I'm replacing four servers with three servers, which means I can also reduce the licenses. Instead of buying two licenses, you're buying one license. The lines are reduced to half, and you have a few open managed application that will tell you the health of the server.

The content and insights with Dell are great. Whenever something happens to your server and you have the support, they will give you a notification. Whether it's CPU or RAM or the power supply, whatever the issue, they will tell you. You always have a proactive notification on all the servers.

Security and BIOS are very good. Previously, BIOS was just a plus for the team to have on the server. Now, BIOS is more into Cyber Security and has the intelligence to recognize what is being loaded before going to the main OS. There's artificial intelligence integrated into these servers and the insights are one of the main reasons that they'll provide you with a good service, and offer you some visibility on the server. You feel safe. The server won't let you down. With the notifications, you can always handle things before they become a bigger problem.

Their management tools are the most valuable. Our customers like the flexibility of being able to scale up and out. It is very easy for them to scale and add additional nodes and servers to their storage solutions, such as the ATI solution.

It has very good quality and a great deployment model. Its warranty is also very good, and it is very stable. Their fixes have been quick if they have those.

The most valuable features are remote management and iDRAC. Manageability is definitely one of the good points for Dell servers.

This is a quality product that can be customized for our clients.

The main criteria I look for in all vendors are:

  1. On-site service for the hardware.
  2. The warranty period, i.e. how long the warranty is.
  3. The ability of the product itself, i.e. the specs and the lifecycle of the product.
  4. The hardware should be cutting edge.

I would like to see the lifecycle at seven to ten years. I want to work on the latest CPUs as much as possible, i.e. maintaining cutting edge standards, but still optimally priced.

We needed a benchmarking HP server, but since we are a small company, we went to hardware resellers. Dell EMC had some programs for SMBs and we were able to have direct interaction with them in India. We were able to get a very reasonable price for the same product which otherwise through the reseller network was extremely costly.

We found that arrangement from Dell EMC to be slightly better than compared to other vendors and why we did not choose them.

  • Its ease of use. The GUI is accessible and everything is pretty much upfront. You don't get lost in navigating between the tabs.
  • I also like a feature they call iDRAC. It's a feature that allows you remotely power on and off the server.
  • It's got a power plug.
  • It's also almost a tool-less type of server, in the sense that when you want to open it up and change a few components inside, you can do so without a screwdriver or any aid of another tool.
  • It also has a nice front panel, it looks nice in front.

  • OpenManage Essentials: Loading new firmware is easy, either via OpenManage Essentials, OMIVV, or the iDRAC. It’s just so easy.
  • OpenManage Essentials facilitates the build of a desired template (including disk configuration) and pushing this out to multiple hosts at once. This greatly speeds up our deployment times.
  • iDRAC 8: Being able to provision and manage RAID virtual disks from the iDRAC is a huge bonus. You don’t have to boot the machine via the console to do this.
  • The firmware rollback is great. The iDRAC can store previous versions to make this very quick.

These servers have been real work-horses. Dell has done a nice job at including more management tools, with OpenManage and the likes. The DRAC Enterprise is an amazing feature, especially when managing decentralized server farms.

The Xeon variants and large amount of RAM the server board supports is to our liking. Also the ease of which the machine can be upgraded. We had no difficulty with any hardware additions. Lastly, we enjoy the great warranty and quality of the product.
