Reliable laptops have enabled long-term mobile work with strong security and quick support
Pros and Cons
  • "Dell Business Laptops have longevity that you can't beat."

What is our primary use case?

I am primarily on the server side when selecting laptops for my organization, but for my own needs, I require something that will connect to what I need. I need it to run fast, and I need to actually have battery life because quite often I'm working in a data center where there's not necessarily a power plug. It has to have longevity in that aspect where I can easily transition from my desk to walking downstairs with it into the data center to troubleshoot server infrastructure and environments.

My organization has been using Dell Business Laptops since before I started with them, which has been over 18 years.

    What is most valuable?

One feature I have found most valuable is the unified ports on Dell Business Laptops. Right now, the one I have has just USB-C or Thunderbolt ports, so the ability to just plug in my Dell monitor, which is my dock and everything, means it's instantly I'm on the hardwire and everything is all connected. I don't have to worry about it, and it charges the laptop without me having to have a secondary charging cable. That's really nice.

The security features of Dell Business Laptops, particularly the BIOS password and setting, is all really nice and secure. I appreciate the way that if you do forget the BIOS password, and I'm speaking from past experience, you used to be able to call Dell, give them the correct code and if you gave them the correct business information too, they could help you get back into it. If you couldn't match any of that, they would not help you. That was a really great security feature because people forget passwords, they fat finger things, and you don't want to be locked out of the BIOS because then you can't update it.

That's actually one of the reasons I have Dell Business Laptops instead of a Dell desktop now. I need to actually be mobile and work where I need to. Because I work on servers, I have to have a secure connection. I can't be working on just a personal device and connecting to servers with that sensitive data. I've got to use a provided laptop that is secure with the proper controls. Dell Business Laptops help us do that.

    What needs improvement?

I personally like tablets, so it would be nice to see a model of Dell Business Laptops that's a tablet with the detachable keyboard, inspired by Microsoft's Surface. I think that'd be kind of cool to see, but these are just ideas.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dell Business Laptops for about 18 years in my main area of expertise, regardless of the company or job title.

How are customer service and support?

My experience with Dell Business Laptops is great. I worked on them from a hardware support perspective, so when we are calling Dell, we'd get parts in, and we'd replace them ourselves. We also have had Dell techs come out and do the replacements. Either way, it's great. We've sent them in for replacements, and the turnaround time has always been excellent for us. They just work.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I will admit we did try another brand of Dell Business Laptops. With the repairability and the reliability, it just wasn't up to the same standard, so we actually ended up staying with Dell overall. We did pilot them for a bit, but the other brand just didn't stand up to them.

I know we had one person who wanted to switch over to a different brand of laptop, and we actually let them for a bit, and they ended up three years later with the laptop dead. The Dell Business Laptop we had was still running. We actually got them to convert over to Dell Business Laptops and they've been using that for at least seven years when I left the area that was working with laptops primarily, and they were still running strong with it. Dell Business Laptops have longevity that you can't beat.

They switched to Dell Business Laptops a long time ago, but when we did try the pilot program for the other brand, it was the fact they didn't last as long. We've had Dell Business Laptops that have been in service for over ten years and they keep running along. Most you do is replace the battery if they don't charge it properly. Those are old laptops, and we know old batteries don't last very well, but popping a new battery in, and it's good as new.

What other advice do I have?

Of course, if you'd ask me the model number of Dell Business Laptops I am currently using, I could not tell you off the top of my head. I know it is one of the higher-end ones, I just can't remember it off the top of my head.

The specific challenges or needs we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops was reliability. I did work desktop support for a while, so for us, it was reliability, it was the repairability, and it was the fact that we could get the support we needed when we needed it.

Dell Business Laptops align pretty with my organization's needs. We've been using them for over eighteen years, so they have to align pretty closely.

The overall rating for Dell Business Laptops is a ten out of ten. I've used them my entire time there, and I've never had a complaint. As long as you match the right model to your needs, they're perfectly great.

If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would point out the reliability and the batteries. You can swap those batteries out and put a new one in. Dell seems to always have them available, which is nice. Some companies change the battery every model, but Dell doesn't necessarily do that. They're available when you need them.

I would ask another IT leader or buyer how often they want to replace the device. My experience with Dell Business Laptops is they just continue forward and keep moving. Replacing the whole device is expensive, not only in hardware cost, but also in the user's time to move all their data, settings, and customizations. It's costly.

My overall rating for Dell Business Laptops is a ten.

Reliable laptops have supported long-term hybrid work and efficient engineering design
    Pros and Cons
    • "In summary of my experience with Dell Business Laptops, I would say that they have always been rock solid for us, performing as well as we can expect, and the customer support has always been amazing."
    • "To improve Dell Business Laptops, I would prefer if they had replaceable Thunderbolt ports and if they were more right to repair for us as IT professionals."

What is our primary use case?

Dell Business Laptops have specifically supported our organization's hybrid workforce, especially when the pandemic hit. We had many people working from home, and the laptops have webcams, internet, and everything needed to work remotely, which has worked well for us.

    What is most valuable?

The features we have found most valuable in Dell Business Laptops, such as the ability to install NVIDIA graphics cards, have really helped us as an engineering company to run SolidWorks at a very efficient and user-friendly pace.

Dell Business Laptops have specifically supported our organization's hybrid workforce, especially when the pandemic hit. We had many people working from home, and the laptops have webcams, internet, and everything needed to work remotely, which has worked well for us.

    What needs improvement?

To improve Dell Business Laptops, I would prefer if they had replaceable Thunderbolt ports and if they were more right to repair for us as IT professionals.

For how long have I used the solution?

My company has been using Dell Business Laptops for 20 years, since the inception of the company.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We do not receive complaints about Dell Business Laptops. We have had hundreds of employees over the years who have used them, and they have always worked well for every employee we have given them to, so we never receive complaints, which I think is quite positive.

How are customer service and support?

My company has been using Dell Business Laptops for 20 years, since the inception of the company.

When we chose Dell Business Laptops for our company, we were looking for ease of procurement, a sustainable supply chain, and good customer service.

What other advice do I have?

In summary of my experience with Dell Business Laptops, I would say that they have always been rock solid for us, performing as well as we can expect, and the customer support has always been amazing.

If I were to recommend Dell Business Laptops to someone, I would say that we often have employees who want to buy personal computers, and we get good deals through our sales representatives. Dell offers a lot of power for cost, making employees want to choose Dell after using them at work.

To another IT leader or buyer who is considering choosing Dell for their commercial fleet, I would say that we have had a really good experience with them. While we looked in the past at other brands such as Lenovo during some rough periods, we could never justify making that transition. Dell has always worked well for us, and we have never found a good reason to leave them. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Reliable laptops have streamlined imaging for engineers and have supported hybrid work
    Pros and Cons
    • "I chose Dell primarily for their website more than the laptops themselves, even though the laptops are excellent."
    • "The current options for resolution screens do not work for me, not because they don't function, but because there are not as many options to get higher resolutions unless you get a premium model."

What is our primary use case?

My company operates in the aerospace industry. Dell Business Laptops have supported my organization's hybrid workforce, but we do not have a comprehensive hybrid solution.

    What is most valuable?

I feel Dell Business Laptops offer great features for both needs, and the ease of use of being able to get the drivers directly from the website makes them a front runner in many of my purchasing decisions.

I chose Dell primarily for their website more than the laptops themselves, even though the laptops are excellent. The ease of use to obtain all the drivers from one place for imaging makes it significantly simpler. This has impacted my organization by speeding up our processes because I do not have to search for drivers. I can simply go to one location, get them, and install them along with having faster, more reliable, longer lasting battery laptops that just work great.

    What needs improvement?

If I could improve Dell Business Laptops, I am quite sure they still offer CACs, which is something we will be getting into later. The only thing I could suggest is more options with higher resolution screens.

The current options for resolution screens do not work for me, not because they don't function, but because there are not as many options to get higher resolutions unless you get a premium model. I think they are the only ones that hold the OLED style screens. Having better resolution screens would help my organization as we do a lot of rendering and simulations, and we need higher resolutions for the engineers to do their jobs.

For how long have I used the solution?

My organization has specifically been using Dell Business Laptops for eleven months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I have never had any issues with their security and the features they offer.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Dell is a proven industry leader. The government uses them quite often for almost everything, and their ease of use and the scalability to get them out the door pretty quickly is something I have not found better in another laptop.

How are customer service and support?

If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would highlight the ease of use, the support they offer when you buy the support packages, and the ability to get next-day service if something breaks inside the computer.

What other advice do I have?

On a scale of one to ten, with one being worst and ten being best, I would rate Dell Business Laptops overall as a solid eight. I rate them an eight because there is always room for improvement. I do not think you can ever get a ten out of ten laptop. My overall review rating for Dell Business Laptops is eight.

Remote teams have secured data and reliable performance with strong onsite support
    Pros and Cons
    • "My experience with Dell Business Laptops has been very positive; we have been able to give my end users laptops that do the job, provide the performance needed, and come with a sense of pride in ownership, treating them better than traditional work laptops."

What is our primary use case?

We currently focus on two product lines of Dell Business Laptops: the Pro Plus 5000 series and the Pro Max 7000 series.

We are a remote-first workforce with about 3,000 employees that all work from home, and the advantage of using Dell Business Laptops, especially with their ProSupport Plus support, is that we can have Dell support go to any one of our employees' homes to get the laptop fixed on-site without them having to mail it in to us.

With our remote workforce, having Dell security platform on their machines helps us to manage them remotely and keep them secure because we cannot control them inside a controlled environment, and being able to manage that is a huge advantage for us.

This provides flexibility in being able to work from anywhere while still securing our data and our platforms.

      What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of Dell Business Laptops are reliability and power.

Dell Secure BIOS protects the BIOS for us remotely so that someone cannot flash a bad BIOS on a machine, which helps us assure that the hardware is secure since we do not get to see everything that our remote workers are doing on the machines.

      What needs improvement?

Increasing power and battery life is always going to be beneficial; our users really appreciate the product and have always had no complaints about it. I would recommend continued innovation with new technologies to provide a better experience overall.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Dell Business Laptops for as long as I have been with the company. I moved to the company about four years ago, and they were Dell Business Laptops when I came in here, so I have no idea how long they have actually been using Dell.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Since switching to Dell Business Laptops, our users have experienced all-day battery life and the power in the platform to do their jobs daily without any stress as far as stress on the machines that keep it from performing.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We are a remote-first workforce with about 3,000 employees that all work from home, and the advantage of using Dell Business Laptops, especially with their ProSupport Plus support, is that we can have Dell support go to any one of our employees' homes to get the laptop fixed on-site without them having to mail it in to us.

How are customer service and support?

I do have experience with the customer support.

I would rate Dell's support about an eight; we often have to send Dell contracted technicians to go fix remote users, and those technicians have been able to respond and quite often fix the issue right away for them.

Dell overall has done a really good job with their sales teams; my internal sales rep has been great at getting me what I need when I need it and providing options during supply chain issues, suggesting new alternatives that still meet our needs and have been very responsive.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have not considered any other brands because Dell Business Laptops have done a great job of meeting all the needs for my company.

We have not felt the need to evaluate any others.

      What was our ROI?

Last year, we migrated their Dell Plus line over to the AMD platform chipset, which resulted in cost savings while still providing a great user experience for their work.

We saved about $200 per machine doing that.

What other advice do I have?

My top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization are power, battery life, and also aesthetics; we appreciate the aesthetics.

One of my top priorities is power, because we are a developer company.

I would say that Dell Business Laptops have done a great job of supporting the products that they create; if you want a product that has proven to be reliable and has a great support system, Dell Business Laptops will get you up and running as fast as possible.

My experience with Dell Business Laptops has been very positive; we have been able to give my end users laptops that do the job, provide the performance needed, and come with a sense of pride in ownership, treating them better than traditional work laptops. I would rate this review a 9.

Durable laptops have supported secure on‑site work and fast support for demanding field teams
      Pros and Cons
      • "My experience with Dell Business Laptops is usually great, especially for their sturdiness, durability, and with all the encryption methods."
      • "I have a scenario with some of the models, specifically the gray color laptops, like the Dell Latitude 5420 and 5430 models, where the paint of the laptops is peeling off."

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Dell Business Laptops includes end-user computing and for executives. Most of the use case will be for software developing and for Outlook and Word processing and Excel processing and for presentation purposes.

      What is most valuable?

The best features Dell Business Laptops offer include the sturdiness and durability of the business laptop and also the customer care approach towards business users and quick resolution when there is an issue with the hardware or the software.

For sturdiness, since we are from the construction company and from L&T Metro, we visit different types of sites and different environments, and because of the sturdiness and the durability, Dell Business Laptops last longer. The customer care team understands the issue of the customer thoroughly with the questions and they process quickly when compared to other OEMs.

Dell is evolving with all the features, including removable USB-C ports. They have tied up with the Snapdragon X1 processor for the battery backup, which is very helpful for the business executives during travel. The TPM chip inside Dell for BitLocker encryption helps business customers protect their data in case of laptop loss.

Depending upon the budget of the customer, Dell is optimizing the hardware and recommending hardware that can be helpful for the organization within the budget limits.

      What needs improvement?

I have a scenario with some of the models, specifically the gray color laptops, like the Dell Latitude 5420 and 5430 models, where the paint of the laptops is peeling off. This cosmetic issue needs to be resolved as every laptop from around 100 that we procured two years back has the same issue. We have informed Dell about this issue; however, it is not a major issue as most of the laptops from other models are good, but the gray models 5420 and 5430 have paint issues.

On the cosmetic side, this needs to be looked into.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

      Dell Business Laptops are stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Dell Business Laptops' scalability is very much high.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support from Dell is highly appreciated. I would rate the customer support a nine on a scale of 1 to 10.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used other solutions but did not switch completely; we continued with Dell alongside other OEMs and switched back 100% to Dell because of the support.

      What was our ROI?

I would go with all the options specified regarding return on investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that they are comparatively competitive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated other options, including Lenovo ThinkPad and HP, but after checking all the options, we came back to Dell for better support and durability.

What other advice do I have?

I am referring to on-premises deployment where the laptops are managed and used. During the theft of laptops, these security features become essential. Most desktops that are missing during theft cases cannot retrieve data without the passwords and encryption features on the laptops.

I would tell another IT leader or buyer who is on the fence about choosing Dell for their commercial fleet to go for Dell without hesitation.

My experience with Dell Business Laptops is usually great, especially for their sturdiness, durability, and with all the encryption methods. I appreciate how Dell is developing and evaluating their laptops for business needs, and their customer support is great for the quick resolution of hardware and software issues. I would prefer to go with Dell without any questions if they continue to do so.

Dell Business Laptops have not much supported my organization's hybrid workforce because we work on-premises, not in a hybrid model.

We are currently using Dell Latitude 5450, Dell Pro 5400, 5420, 5430, and 7000 series laptops.

When I chose Dell Business Laptops for my organization, the specific challenge I was trying to address was durability.

I advise others looking into using Dell Business Laptops to prefer Dell because they are a business leader like other OEMs, and I would go with them without hesitation due to their competitive costs and customer support.

I have given this review a rating of nine out of ten.

Light laptops have boosted hybrid productivity and support smooth virtual machine work
      Pros and Cons
      • "To another IT buyer or leader who is on the fence about choosing Dell Business Laptops for their commercial fleet, I would say that the process was easy, the price point for contracts was good, and it was overall a good purchase."
      • "To improve Dell Business Laptops, I would like to see more ports on them, such as additional plug-ins."

What is our primary use case?

We chose to use Dell Business Laptops in our organization to address the challenge of having the most customer-friendly and easy-to-use machines across the entire base.

When selecting laptops for my organization, my top priorities are the convenience of using them and ensuring that they meet all the requirements.

Dell Business Laptops support our organization's hybrid workforce by being mostly cloud-based, so we have both the cloud and on-station options, which easily integrates with our system.

      What is most valuable?

The most valuable features I have found include how easy it is to work with virtual machines and how they connect, especially since they are zero-client models; they work really well with what we are trying to accomplish.

Since deploying Dell Business Laptops, I can share measurable outcomes such as productivity improvements, with people being able to use them everywhere and experiencing minimal downtime.

      What needs improvement?

To improve Dell Business Laptops, I would like to see more ports on them, such as additional plug-ins.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Dell Business Laptops an eight; as I mentioned, some improvements would involve ports and design, but overall, they are good.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for seven years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Since using Dell Business Laptops, my end users have experienced positive feedback; people appreciate them and share comments about how easy they are to use.

How are customer service and support?

In summary of my experience with Dell Business Laptops, it has been a good experience; customer support was very accessible when we had to reach out while the laptops were under warranty, making it easy to get them fixed if there was an issue.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I chose Dell Business Laptops over other brands because of the price point and because they met the needs that we had.

What other advice do I have?

If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would say that the model we have is thin, portable, and light, so it does not feel like you are carrying a heavy device when you are moving around; overall, it is a good model.

To another IT buyer or leader who is on the fence about choosing Dell Business Laptops for their commercial fleet, I would say that the process was easy, the price point for contracts was good, and it was overall a good purchase. I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

Daily digital collaboration has become seamless and supports all agile project activities
      Pros and Cons
      • "Dell Business Laptops positively impact my organization by supporting everything we do, as we are a digital team doing digital management for large customers, and Dell Business Laptops are an integral part of the day-to-day operation."
      • "The only drawback is that nobody informs us about what happens at the end of a term, whether it is three years, four years, or five years, when support ends."

What is our primary use case?

Dell Business Laptops is my endpoint for business. I rely on Dell Business Laptops in my daily work to run all my Agile DevOps project activities in Microsoft Teams.

I use Dell Business Laptops all day, every day, handling everything, including email, virtual meetings, and one-on-one chats. All our reporting is done, all of our business operations are digitized and go through Dell Business Laptops.

      What is most valuable?

The best features of Dell Business Laptops are its familiarity overall and the complete package.

The features of familiarity and complete package stand out for me because the Latitude series laptops for business have always been the mainstay laptop for our use cases. It is the right size, it has the right backlighting, and it provides ease of operation.

It is a good all-around familiar, easy-to-use laptop that anybody can use. Dell Business Laptops positively impact my organization by supporting everything we do. We are a digital team doing digital management for large customers, and Dell Business Laptops are an integral part of the day-to-day operation.

      What needs improvement?

Since using Dell Business Laptops, I have noticed consistency in outcomes and improvements. Rated on a scale of one to ten, consistency and reliability would be a nine. The only drawback is that nobody informs us about what happens at the end of a term, whether it is three years, four years, or five years, when support ends.

There has to be a better way to inform the end user that the laptop has reached end-of-life, which can sometimes be very problematic and impactful.

I do not think anything else about Dell Business Laptops needs improvement other than end-of-life communication. It fills the use case. I do not have any more concerns about needed improvements. I see you as the technologists who look at improvements, whether that is from a physical perspective, an operating system perspective, or a bundling perspective. I am a superuser, and the laptop does everything I need it to do.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dell Business Laptops for over a decade.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

      Dell Business Laptops are stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Dell Business Laptops is more than adequate.

How are customer service and support?

I rate the customer support of Dell Business Laptops nine out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Dell Business Laptops is to talk to you. It is a procurement process, and if it all fits—the cost, the business model, and the support model—then adopt it.

Before we wrap up, I just want to say to keep making good, great products. They will sell themselves. I give this review an overall rating of nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Connected ecosystem has boosted hybrid teamwork and has improved productivity and sales impact

What is our primary use case?

When selecting laptops for my company, my top priorities are productivity, safety, design, and collaboration, along with performance.

In selecting design, I consider that because I work at Scansource, which is a distributor of Dell technologies, and I represent Dell for my customers. When I use a notebook that has great design, I can make an impact and improve my skills in sales.

My company has been using Dell Business Laptops for more than 10 years.

The specific challenge I was trying to address when choosing Dell Business Laptops for my company involves my competitors in Brazil regarding prices. In Brazil, we face complexity regarding taxes, which is the biggest challenge.

Dell Business Laptops have supported my company's hybrid workforce reliably. We can trust the device and the safety features. I travel frequently, and my device is perfect for my continuous use.

      What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of Dell Business Laptops that I find are trust. I trust in Dell and the ecosystem trusts in Dell. This is the biggest point because in Brazil, we have other competitors, but Dell is different regarding the program, suppliers, prices, and conditions.

Since switching to Dell Business Laptops, my end users have experienced improvements in performance and productivity, and collaboration has improved as well. The ecosystem in Dell is amazing when you use displays, accessories, notebooks, servers, and storage. All of the portfolio performs very well.

I can share measurable outcomes since deploying Dell Business Laptops, such as productivity improvements of more than 20 percent for sales people, designers, IT personnel, and user satisfaction scores.

      What needs improvement?

In my opinion, Dell Business Laptops can be better by being more accessible to use Copilot+ PC. At the moment, it is very expensive to buy. The experience using that model will change the market.

To make it a 10 for me, Dell Business Laptops would need to be more accessible in terms of purchasing. Currently, the pricing is very expensive.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have worked at this company for 17 years, but as a director, I have been in this role for three years.

What other advice do I have?

In a few sentences, I would sum up my experience with Dell Business Laptops by saying I believe they improve your performance because everything is connected seamlessly in one ecosystem. I would rate my overall experience with Dell Business Laptops as an 8 out of 10.

Secure laptops have supported compliant on-site work and have provided reliable daily performance
      Pros and Cons
      • "Overall, I sum up my experience with Dell Business Laptops as great; from those zero clients to the laptops to this conference, you cannot beat it."
      • "I believe Dell Business Laptops can be improved by renovating the touchpad."

What is our primary use case?

In our organization, we are not a lot of remote workers; we are more on-location, similar to the US Air Force.

      What is most valuable?

A big reason we use Dell Business Laptops is for our secure internet, which means we get them specially made with no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, and no camera, so they can go in secure areas and be perfectly compliant. That is the big one.

Since switching to these laptops, our end users experience that they run better than our HP counterparts. Our HPs are always breaking down, and our Dells do not really break down that much at all, so that would be the biggest advantage for us.

      What needs improvement?

I believe Dell Business Laptops can be improved by renovating the touchpad. I am tired of the little square in the middle; I feel we should do a whole bottom strip so you do not have to be in that one spot. When you are in that one spot, you then have to click. I would like to have that expanded a little bit.

For how long have I used the solution?

I know the Air Force has been using Dell for a lot of years, probably over twenty.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

The reason we choose Dell Business Laptops over the other brands we were considering before is mainly using the zero clients to eliminate the need for customer support and keep security and everything centralized. Since they use all those, we figured we would try some laptops because we do have a bunch of laptops still.

What other advice do I have?

When selecting laptops for the organization, my top priorities are security, number one and the big one, ease of use for the user, and the most features we can have.

Overall, I sum up my experience with Dell Business Laptops as great; from those zero clients to the laptops to this conference, you cannot beat it.

That works as well as it can with government software, and it works well.

If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would say it is a great company with great reliable machines, and you cannot go wrong.

I would rate my overall experience with Dell Business Laptops as 9.2 out of 10.

Hybrid work has become smoother and monitor-heavy desks now need more connection options
      Pros and Cons
      • "The features I have found most valuable are mainly the ease of use of setting them up with people's current setups at the desk, with multiple monitors, and being able to quickly snap them in and out and take them when they need to go home."
      • "Dell Business Laptops can be improved with more ports for everything."

What is our primary use case?

The specific challenge we were trying to address when we chose Dell Business Laptops for our organization was ease of use. My top priorities when selecting laptops for my organization are price point and customer support.

      What is most valuable?

The features I have found most valuable are mainly the ease of use of setting them up with people's current setups at the desk, with multiple monitors, and being able to quickly snap them in and out and take them when they need to go home.

Dell Business Laptops have supported my organization's hybrid workforce greatly. With COVID and everything, we actually pushed work from home, and most people were not used to that, so it was much easier to simply provide a laptop and have them go.

The specific results or improvements my end users have experienced since switching to Dell Business Laptops is ease of use.

      What needs improvement?

Dell Business Laptops can be improved with more ports for everything. Many people prefer to use two or three monitors, so more ports for everything would be helpful.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for twenty years.

How are customer service and support?

If I were recommending Dell Business Laptops to a peer, I would say the ease of use and price point are significant factors, as it can work with you depending on how you are getting it and bulk sales. I would tell another IT leader or buyer who is on the fence about choosing Dell Business Laptops for a commercial fleet to talk to their customer support and see what happens.

      What was our ROI?

I cannot share any measurable outcomes since deploying Dell Business Laptops, such as cost savings or satisfaction scores, but usually people are surprised at how quickly the switchover goes.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

What made me choose Dell over any other brands I was considering was the price point and working with the military.

What other advice do I have?

For anybody who has never used Dell Business Laptops and they are having trouble, customer support is huge. Being able to call them and having that person to help you out when you have an issue is important, and it is not waiting for hours; they are ready to go at all times. I would rate this review as a seven out of ten.
