Has a good interface and offers good support
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the interface."
  • "There are a lot of patches that are released frequently that always ask for a reboot. This causes errors and unpredictable actions on the computer. Sometimes it will get hot and reboot and all those kind of patches which will happen after an installation. That is something that needs improvement."

What is our primary use case?

I use MS Exchange, MS Office, and Azure Cloud. I'm a system administrator in my company, so I use all the software required for my regular activities.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the interface.

What needs improvement?

There are a lot of patches that are released frequently that always ask for a reboot. This causes errors and unpredictable actions on the computer. Sometimes it will get hot and reboot and all those kind of patches which will happen after an installation. That is something that needs improvement. It always creates issues when we're in production.

It doesn't happen all the time. The pandemic has made it hard to go into the office to get the problem rectified.

We don't always want to reboot. Users aren't interested to keep on rebooting a laptop. So their laptop can get infected every month which creates problems. And then it's hard to get to the office to get the problems fixed.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for around a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have more than 1,000 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have had a good experience with their customer support.

How was the initial setup?

I don't really deal with the installation. It came installed on my laptop from my company. I don't deal with the installation or maintenance.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend Windows 10.

I would rate it a nine out of ten.

Pros and Cons
  • "Stability-wise, it's fine."

What is our primary use case?

I use windows 10 for personal usage both at work and while studying.

    What is most valuable?

I enjoy the search feature; you can just start typing what you're looking for and the answer just pops up, right away. Bluetooth works really well with it. It's really easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for roughly two to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, it's fine. I can't comment on the scalability as I've not really tried to change the performance capabilities — I only run it on one device.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have never had to contact technical support. As for documentation, if you need some help you can just search the internet. It's pretty easy to find information on some of the forums or to get some answers via Microsoft's webpages.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was quite straightforward.

What other advice do I have?

I think I'd recommend it. With Linux, you really need to have some kind of programming background or something, and it really depends on what you are using it for, but for general usage, I think Windows is more comfortable. You can control it via the user interface.

In general, I think it's pretty comfortable. It's very comparable — I'd recommend Windows 10.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Windows 10 a rating of eight.

I can't think of any disadvantages right now but I can't give it a higher rating because it's not perfect. That's why I chose eight.

Faster, more efficient, and more secure than the previous OS
    Pros and Cons
    • "The work is now faster and more efficient because most of the running programs do not crash during the run stage, like the previous version we were using for work."
    • "The frequent update of the Operating system is bad because, during each update, most of the programs or applications do not function well."

What is our primary use case?

I use this Operating system for programming because the previous version was not serving its purpose. Secondly, I use this OS for blogging and I spent most of my time online. My online time includes other IT services that I use the operating system for.

How has it helped my organization?

The work is now faster and more efficient because most of the running programs do not crash during the run stage, like the previous version we were using for work. It is more secure as related to the task or work we have stored in our system.

    What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the easy assess to most of the settings and features of the PC. Another is that it is more secure because Windows Defender is very efficient and active to detect viruses or trojans that may make the user vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks and other threats.

    What needs improvement?

The frequent update of the Operating system is bad because, during each update, most of the programs or applications do not function well. Updates should be in intervals of every three to four months, and they should have the user's choice and interests in mind before any update.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for two months.

    A good product that's user-friendly and reliable
    Pros and Cons
    • "Even if users aren't very technical, they can use Windows."
    • "I've had some issues with a configuration that's given me trouble."

    What is most valuable?

    It's a very good product.

Even if users aren't very technical, they can use Windows. It's very user-friendly.

    The stability is very good.

You can scale it if you need to.

    What needs improvement?

I can't recall any aspect that I would consider improving.

When it comes to Windows 11 specifically, you really have to have a good PC. You need to have a very good graphic card. Unfortunately, many PCs lack a good graphic card and therefore can't support it.

I've had some issues with a configuration that's given me trouble.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using Windows for a while. I've used it since 2010 or 2011. Before Windows 10 was Windows 7 and 8.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable. there aren't issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

You can scale the solution if you need to. It's very good.

What other advice do I have?

I'm certified with the product. The way we are using and we are selling it, I find that it's a good product.

I'm using both Windows 11 and 10 right now and I am very happy with the Microsoft products. They have been great.

I'd advise others not to hesitate if they are considering using it. It's a very strong solution. If you have a good PC or laptop, it will work well.

I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

    • "What I like about Windows 10 most is its stability."
    • "The license for Windows 10 is a little bit expensive."

I've been using Windows 10 for about three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

What I like about Windows 10 most is its stability.

How are customer service and support?

I used Microsoft tech support a long time ago but not for Windows 10.

    How was the initial setup?

Windows 10 was easy to install. I'm not sure how long it took, but it was easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The license for Windows 10 is a little bit expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Windows 10 nine out of 10.

    What is most valuable?

    It's easy to use.

    What needs improvement?

The stability could improve and it could be more secure.

For how long have I used the solution?

I joined the firm this year. I have been using Windows 10 since I started with this company.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Windows 10 is a stable solution, but it could be better.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have 20 users in our firm that use this solution.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have not contacted Microsoft technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    I have also used Apple.

    How was the initial setup?

I was not involved with the installation.

We have a team of two in our IT department to deploy and maintain this solution.

What other advice do I have?

I am not a super IT-specific person. I use it on my laptop.

I would rate Windows 10 an eight out of ten.

A stable and scalable solution for running one's personal applications
    Pros and Cons
    • "The solution is stable."
    • "While we have patches on a monthly basis, the solution could be more secure."

What is our primary use case?

I employ the solution for normal use, such as the running of personal applications and internet Office.

    What needs improvement?

While we have patches on a monthly basis, the solution could be more secure. Overall, the solution is good for me.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for a couple of years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    The solution is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    The solution is definitely scalable.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have support but do not have experience with them.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

It was never a question of us using Windows, as we have always done so. We do not wish to use Linux and do not use Citrix for our users, but only for disaster recovery.

    What about the implementation team?

Installation does not pose an issue for us, as we employ a CCM and make use of the master.

We can do this on our own with the assistance of a consultant.

We need fewer than 10 people for the deployment and maintenance, consisting of several engineers.

What other advice do I have?

The solution is good for me.

There are around 600 or 650 people making use of the solution in my organization.

I would recommend the solution to others.

I rate Windows 10 as an eight out of ten.
