The capabilities of SAP Analytics Cloud that I consider the most valuable are that all three functionalities are in one tool, and because they are, you don't have to buy another tool to make planning, you don't have to buy another tool to implement prediction. To get some predictive scenarios for your business plan is possible without additional purchases.

The most valuable feature of SAP Business Data Cloud is not really limited to BDC itself. It's the two core applications, which are SAC and Data Sphere. I think seamless planning is the number one feature that is really advantageous to users and really something that stands out for SAP versus everybody else because no other tool has that feature.

In ensuring that data keeps the same meaning and relationships when it moves between different systems in SAP Business Data Cloud, we're using the catalog function with all new implementations. And we're assigning meta tags and additional information, KPI definitions. The catalog feature in SAP Business Data Cloud is what we're ensuring. When you're creating new models, you rely on the lineage and standard features built into SAP Business Data Cloud or Data Sphere specifically.

The best feature of SAP Business Data Cloud is that it's a cloud-based solution, making it software as a service. It's no longer confined to only the database, allowing flexibility to work with your application layer. This advantage that BW used to give isn't available in SAP enterprise modeling. The most interesting thing I've faced is the data lake storage; it has enormous data lake storage capability and is already optimized for use. Any data source can just be dumped here, and when required, you can query the necessary part of the data lake for your modeling purpose. You don't need to store everything in HANA disk as we used to do in SAP Enterprise HANA modeling; that was a waste of HANA disk memory. You can use the data lake feature, and the data flow feature also gives flexibility to move data around from any source to any destination without needing any ETL tool. From a flow perspective, this is a very good tool.

In my current landscape, I mentioned that we had to send files from S/4 tables to Azure Data Lake; it used to require considerable effort with BODS, which also involves a licensing cost. Now, with SAP Business Data Cloud, we save on the BODS license and avoid the costs associated with the Enterprise HANA 48 terabyte box. We have saved costs due to the data lake framework. Moreover, with SAP Business Data Cloud, we can easily store petabytes of data, which will help save on costs going forward. We have minimized our BODS reliance and the need for traditional ETL tools. Further integration of tools like SAP IBP within the Data Sphere will enable further removal of existing ETL pipelines, translating to more significant cost savings.

The best feature of SAP Business Data Cloud, in my opinion, is the flexibility it gives me to have business content identified and installed. The good thing is that any customizations can be outsourced to BTP, making any necessary changes or migrations much easier. Since the data and everything is hosted by SAP, it reduces my dependency on allied teams regarding business dependency. For authorizations, I have more control; I can manage my own space and access. Additionally, the part of Business Data Cloud that includes Data Sphere comes with SAC as a bolt-on, making my base reporting much more accessible, even though I might need additional licenses for planning, but that is acceptable.

SAP Business Data Cloud provides added functionality where you do not need reconciliation; you just need to ensure that your KPI definitions are on point and broadly aligned with your various analytics requirements, so you can trust your numbers. Within SAP, there is a lot of focus on trusting your numbers, as sometimes downstream errors can skew the overall reporting. For example, I worked with a client where a copy-paste error inflated their overall inventory drastically. Here, you can trust your numbers more effectively; you can set different priorities and identify outliers, which simplifies analytics. You need to have a deeper understanding of your processes, so the time to value increases.

The best features I appreciate in SAP Business Data Cloud are that SAP is now offering a single platform subscription. Previously, if you wanted data engineering, you had to pursue DataSphere or BW, or if you wanted to extend for reporting, you had to buy another subscription for SAC. Instead, you can take a single subscription of SAP Business Data Cloud and implement whatever you need.

Another advantage is the subscription-based model with pay-as-you-go pricing. This is beneficial instead of having to buy a fixed amount of memory that you have to pay for even if you are not using it. The flexibility is quite good.

The large scale of integration is significant. Through the open cloud connector, we can integrate many systems. Previously, it was a closed SAP environment. Now we can integrate with different platforms across the board and transform data across the platforms, with SAP Business Data Cloud at the center. This makes it easy to convince clients and business stakeholders that they should purchase the subscription.

SAP Business Data Cloud ensures that data keeps the same meaning and relationship when moving between systems in quite insightful ways. Because we are integrating with cross-platforms, many clients now want to move from their on-premise systems to the cloud and gain some footing in AI. When considering the size of data for big companies or organizations in the energy sector or manufacturing sector, which have multiple landscapes across their business, everyone wants to integrate everything. In that scenario, SAP Business Data Cloud is quite helpful for live data reporting, replication, and data transformation.

From my POC experience, I can say we can assume definitely around 30 to 40 percent time saving.

As a partner, I believe the biggest advantage in the product is that SAP context is maintained. If I don't use SAP Business Data Cloud and I bring SAP data outside to a hyperscaler data lake, I lose the SAP context. Here, SAP context is maintained, and that is the biggest advantage. Additionally, SAP has standard APIs for integrating SAP Business Data Cloud with all SAP products, so I get out-of-the-box dashboards, which means out-of-the-box content, and the APIs are pre-delivered by SAP.

The product helps to eliminate silos between agents with a shared understanding of the business. SAP Business Data Cloud has a unique feature called Delta Share. For customers who have partial data inside SAP and some data outside SAP, they don't need to replicate the same data twice. I can share whatever is already there in SAP Business Data Cloud with hyperscalers and vice versa. If I have some data in Amazon and some data in SAP Business Data Cloud, I can share both of the data with each other bi-directionally, which prevents silos.

The concept of Universal Business Context capability in the product helps to maintain data meaning and relationships across systems. Context is maintained through Data Sphere, which is part of SAP Business Data Cloud, where I can maintain new entity relationships. There is also a feature called knowledge graph, where I can add my own semantics on top of it.

SAP Business Data Cloud has SAP BDC Connect for data integration, which enables the sharing and Delta Sharing of data that I mentioned. The product has support for AI and ML, which helps with integrations to Snowflake or Databricks. Inside SAP Business Data Cloud, I don't have the AI or the machine learning part, but it uses that as a joint offering via Snowflake's machine learning capabilities or Databricks capabilities, or I can reuse hyperscaler capabilities like Amazon, Azure, and Google. I share the data using Connect, and then I run machine learning and pass back the results.

SAP Business Data Cloud includes SAP Analytics Cloud, which is very similar to Tableau and Power BI. The analytical agility feature in the product does impact my ability to work efficiently. Data Product Studio helps to build and manage data products. SAP has been releasing data products from their side, and I can install and activate these data products using the studio. It is created as a plug and play. I can go and select the data product and activate it, which activates end-to-end the entire pipeline, making it fast.

I use SAP BDC Connect with all new partners like Snowflake, Google, and Microsoft. Every version comes out, and today, it is only available for Databricks. By June, I will get Azure and Snowflake, and by October, I will get Google, with every quarter a new partnership being announced.

I use integration between SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud, but that is the standard integration available between all SAP products, not just HANA Cloud. I can get integration with even the LOB solutions of SAP like Ariba.

What stood out to me most was the capability to work with a unified business data cloud while maintaining business context. Instead of looking at isolated data sets, the platform helps connect information from different sources, which makes reporting more meaningful and easier to understand.

I also appreciated how dashboards can provide a single view of key business metrics, making it easier to identify trends and support decision-making. From a learning perspective, the integration between data management and analytics was particularly impressive. One challenge I faced initially was understanding the overall architecture and how components such as SAP Data Sphere, data models, and analytics fit together.

Since I am relatively new to this platform, there was a learning curve, but once I understood the data flow, it became easier for me to work with it.

To some extent, my experiences are mainly through training and learning scenarios, but SAP Business Data Cloud helped me understand AI and machine learning that can be applied to trusted business data rather than isolated data sets. Given my background in AI, NLP, and data analytics, one of the use cases that stood out to me is combining business data with predictive analytics to support forecasting and trend analysis.

For example, in my sentiment analysis and market forecasting project, I could see how a platform such as SAP Business Data Cloud could provide governed, high-quality data to improve reliability on AI models and business insights. Another use case was executing reporting and decision support where AI-driven insights can help identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities more quickly than traditional reporting methods.

What I found most valuable was the connection between AI capabilities and trusted enterprise data. It reinforces the idea that successful AI projects depend not only on the model itself but also on the quality, governance, and business context of the underlying data.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers are unified data access, data governance, and data integration.

I find the unified data access feature most valuable day-to-day due to its strong governance and seamless integration with SAP, which helps support reporting and AI from a trusted data foundation. These features help reduce data errors and improve speed, accuracy, and business insights.

SAP Business Data Cloud has positively impacted my organization by improving data access and reporting through a centralized and governed data platform. Previously, teams spent significant time collecting and reconciling data from multiple systems, but now reporting becomes faster and more consistent, enabling better collaboration between finance and sales.

Since implementing SAP Business Data Cloud, reporting has become 30 to 50 percent faster as business data no longer needs to be manually consolidated from multiple systems. Additionally, we see fewer data inconsistencies due to standardized data storage, improving collaboration among finance, sales, and operations teams working from the same trusted data source. This helps management make faster and more accurate decisions.

SAP Business Data Cloud has two most valuable features. First, the platform now includes a designed workflow that enables data to move from one place to another in a more manageable way, whereas previously the environment lacked this flow. Second, the data products represent a significant advancement. Previously, SAP provided business content that required installation and manual data pulling, though it came pre-configured. Now, the data products offer more manageable, refined, and usable work. This approach encourages adopting the standard version rather than pursuing customization, as SAP provides support for standard versions.

Third, the increased customization capabilities allow us to implement algorithms and develop solutions with greater freedom. We have the flexibility to program anything, bring in any data, or conduct analysis with more autonomy than ever before.

We have only scratched the surface of benefits from using SAP Business Data Cloud because it is new for us as well. SAP Business Data Cloud market does not have many available resources, so we brought in resources to train our team. For training purposes, we brought in international currency exchange data and shipment delays data related to ongoing geopolitical situations. We are currently processing this data with our open purchase orders and shipment information to identify what analyses we can perform. Although we have these capabilities available, we have not yet enthusiastically begun using them, but this will be included in our next quarter plan.

SAP Business Data Cloud is in partnership with Databricks now, which has made it easier to create AI-based models. That responsibility falls to Data Sphere itself, which completes SAP Business Data Cloud. One of its biggest advantages after its merger with Databricks is that I can create models out of the views created in Data Sphere, which can then be used in Databricks to create AI models. Those AI models can then be exposed to different kinds of tools. This is probably one of the biggest additions in SAP Business Data Cloud nowadays, though I am not certain how far it has reached because there are very few instances of such scenarios in real-time at the moment. However, I believe this is where Databricks and SAP Business Data Cloud see themselves heading in the future.

The biggest feature of SAP Business Data Cloud is replication flow. Replication flow can replicate data from any source into any source in delta as well as full form. It does not matter if data is being fetched from a non-SAP source and delivered to a non-SAP source; replication flow can be used. It is a technique and a kind of alternative in Data Sphere where I can choose to do either a full upload or a delta upload. That is one of the biggest strengths of Data Sphere.

Replication flow specifically helps my team by allowing us to fetch data from various sources without creating many objects. In that single object created, I can fetch data from multiple sources all at once, irrespective of what their source system is. Once the data is replicated, it can be fetched to any other source desired, whether it is SAC or a non-SAP visualization tool. This makes the task easier because not only do I not have to worry about creating many objects, but I can also ensure that the data is loaded all at once.

Apart from replication flow, data governance is also one of the strengths of SAP Business Data Cloud. I can see the complete data lineage of my model from beginning to end, and I can pick and choose any of the models desired. I can preview the data or the structure of that model anytime. In one complete screen, I can get the complete lineage of the flow, which is one of the biggest advantages in SAP Business Data Cloud.

SAP Business Data Cloud has provided centralized access in respect of the data governance part. It has managed to provide real-time insights due to its live reporting, and it has provided a unified, comprehensive interface wherein the data is in harmony, whether it is SAP or non-SAP. I manage to get harmonious data in every instance. At the very least, it is an AI-ready data platform, so in the future, if there are any AI-specific results desired, SAP Business Data Cloud's merger with Databricks makes that very possible. I can see it being a very interactive and AI-driven entity in the future.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers in my experience are data integration, centralized data management, and analytics. What stands out most is the ability to bring data from multiple sources into one platform, which makes reporting more efficient and provides better business insights.

The data integration and centralized management feature of SAP Business Data Cloud has definitely made things easier. One of the biggest benefits is that my team spends less time collecting and validating data from different systems. Since the data is already centralized, reporting and analysis can be completed much faster. I have also seen fewer errors because using the common platform improves confidence in the data and reconciles information from multiple sources.

Using SAP Business Data Cloud, I was able to bring that data together in a centralized platform, which improves data consistency and makes reporting more efficient. This helped my business users access insights more quickly and reduces the time spent gathering and validating data.

I have seen better access to data and more efficient reporting since the implementation of SAP Business Data Cloud. By centralizing information from different systems, SAP Business Data Cloud has reduced manual effort, improved data consistency, and helped teams make decisions more quickly.

The accuracy of SAP Business Data Cloud helps surface insights more quickly and reduces manual effort. I still review important decisions, but I have not noticed any major issues with the quality of the output.

SAP Business Data Cloud does a good job of using my organization's data to provide relevant insights. The outputs are generally accurate because they are based on centralized business data, although I still validate important decisions and reports before acting on them.

Using the self-service analytics features in SAP Business Data Cloud has helped me change my data models quickly. The self-service analytics feature allows users to work with data more independently, which reduces reliance on technical teams and speeds up reporting and decision-making. I have seen faster access to insights and quicker response to business needs.

I use SAP Business Data Cloud to centralize and standardize the data from different systems. This helps maintain consistent definitions and relationships across data sets, which improves reporting accuracy and ensures everyone is working from the same source of truth.

The AI and ML capabilities of SAP Business Data Cloud have helped me gain insights from data more quickly and reduce manual analysis. They have improved reporting and helped business users make faster, more informed decisions.

The best feature SAP Business Data Cloud offers is a zero delta sharing mechanism, which is more useful because we can consume the data from SAP Business Data Cloud without sharing the data to third-party tools. For example, if we are using Snowflake, we can consume the data through a Snowflake connector. Microsoft also has a connector for SAP Business Data Cloud so we can consume the data in third-party tools without loading the data.

Using these connectors has significantly impacted our workflow and data integration with third-party tools. Previously, we were loading data from SAP S/4 to Azure Synapse Analytics. Through SLT, we faced many issues loading the data due to huge volumes of data and RFC connections having limitations including time limitations. By using the zero delta mechanism, there is no need to copy; we can directly consume the data as a data product wherever we want in third-party tools without loading the data. This is a great feature provided by SAP Business Data Cloud.

In addition to this, SAP has provided Intelligent Applications, which are ready-to-consume tools where ready-made installed data sphere models and SAP dashboards are available. Based on a single click, if we have a requirement for working capital insights, we can simply click on the installation of Intelligent Applications so that all the readymade end-to-end flows will be installed in our environment.

SAP Business Data Cloud has positively impacted my organization because previously, SAP was not integrated with SAP Databricks, which is strong in machine learning. This is a great feature provided by SAP so that customers using SAP as a source, S/4, no longer need to rely on other tools like Azure or any other remaining tools to work on machine learning capabilities since they are associated with Databricks. This will be a great feature in the cloud environment.

In terms of specific outcomes or metrics that show how SAP Business Data Cloud has benefited my organization, time has been saved compared to previously. It provides a broad perspective to the organization, and since most of the resources are handled by SAP, it reduces the effort for the company to maintain those resources. Since we have data harmonization, all the data resides in a single environment, making data accessibility easy for the company. In our case, it saved time, and going forward, it would be saving money for the client.

SAP Business Data Cloud has prebuilt data products and insight apps, which are intelligent applications, and a unified data platform that brings together the semantic constructs of both SAP and non-SAP data. It also has a zero-copy delta sharing approach, which means we won't persist or store the data in some places. We will directly get it from the source system and process it accordingly. We can also use the AI features and the embedded Databricks, so we can use the features of Databricks.

Zero-copy delta sharing means SAP Business Data Cloud can share data with another platform without physically duplicating it or storing it. This is helpful because the data stays in the original place, which reduces data movement and avoids extra copies, making the sharing easier and more efficient in a governed manner. Regarding AI features, we can use Databricks where we can use Python or script language for planning or any other use cases.

SAP Business Data Cloud helps the company by providing a space where we can trust all our data to SAP, and leadership can make decisions faster with less effort. It reduces the time spent on developing objects like reports or dashboards and also helps in planning, forecasting, and AI features across all modules including Finance, HR, supply chain, and others.

In my opinion, the most useful and valuable functions in SAP Business Data Cloud are the financial reporting, which is the main component. In the project system, you could find a good reporting tool because there are standard reports in SEC. You could use it by plug and play, as the creation of the story and the dashboard is already embedded in the system, so you could use it directly.

SAP Business Data Cloud makes daily operations with the data faster and easier for the end users. The platform is very user-friendly because there is not much coding or any complicated scenario. The end user could use it very easily.

The main benefits end users receive from SAP Business Data Cloud include deep insight analytics on cloud to plan and to get the real live data on a unified view or consistent view to be aware and to take decisions, to speed up performance, and to know the gaps and to fix the gaps. It is a very smart analytic tool.

The purpose of implementing SAP Business Data Cloud is to avoid the manual work mainly. Previously, the business users would take the outputs of S/4HANA into Excel and then upload in Power BI to get the reports. But now this exercise is avoided. The master data, transaction data is linked directly with SAP Business Data Cloud. Tomorrow, if new members are added in S/4HANA, it automatically updates in the dashboards and reports part as well.

The main important point which catches the eye of every business using SAP Business Data Cloud is it has a very tight integration. It provides good integration with S/4HANA as well as SuccessFactors for workforce planning. On top of that, Datasphere offers more flexibility in data transformation and master data conversion. SAP SAC facilitates front-end reporting and planning through seamless planning processes.

SAP Business Data Cloud is a comprehensive package offering data warehousing, dashboard, and report creation for key management users. It also supports annual planning and rolling forecasts. Once these processes are finalized, it enables machine learning via the Databricks part of the solution, turning it into a more practical packaged solution.

From a user experience perspective, there isn't a significant change as the front end remains similar. This consistency ensures users find the transition smoother as SAP Business Data Cloud forms the back end.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers include the data intelligent application and the data product because if I find the standard intelligent application that is suitable to my requirement, I don't have to do anything else; I just find the corresponding intelligent application and install it. That's it. I get an end-to-end application and can start using the SAC dashboard without further actions. Apart from that, even if some requirements are not matching, I can customize that intelligent application or customize that standard data product and can create derived data using the standard data products before proceeding as per my requirement to build data models on top of it and then create a SAC dashboard or story based on those analytical models.

The main standout feature is BDC Connect, as it is very useful for sharing data without replicating to third-party tools such as Enterprise Databricks, Snowflake or even in the near future, Google BigQuery as well as Microsoft Fabric. We don't have to replicate; we can share it from BDC and start using it in those tools, where data scientists or data engineers can build the corresponding pipelines or the AI/ML use cases and share back to SAP Business Data Cloud.

SAP Business Data Cloud has positively impacted my organization as it is getting more business compared to earlier due to unique use cases such as intelligent applications and BDC Connect. Because of that, our team and organization are seeing improvements in net revenue and other financial metrics compared to earlier.

Revenue has increased because of SAP Business Data Cloud, as we are gaining more traction and business. We have built some accelerators that help customers utilizing our services, leading to a significant increase in revenue of at least twenty to twenty-five percent because of these data products.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers include replication from the transactional system, from the S/4HANA system, which customers value more, and everything related to change data capture and the ability to connect to SAP CDS views.

Currently, SAP Business Data Cloud's approved way to extract data out of the system impacts my projects and my customer's experience as it goes through SAP Business Data Cloud, whether it's native Data Sphere or using data products that SAP Business Data Cloud platform provides.

The ability to share data into platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is also a value that customers are exploring regarding the features of SAP Business Data Cloud, but I don't find any specific use case that customers are taking this technology at scale, although I think it will come.

SAP Business Data Cloud has impacted my organization and my customers' organizations positively as customers are starting to explore how to transition from existing data warehouses into this data product economy.

This exploration and transition change the way teams work or make decisions as it helps me to position some consulting work because that's a transition that customers need to go through; data warehouse is an IT domain, but data products are a domain from the business itself, which requires consulting services.

What I appreciate about SAP Analytics Cloud is the AI features, which include interactive dashboards, drill-down capabilities, linked dimensions, and the ability to integrate more than one model in the same story. It is a platform for analytics, planning, and predictive analysis, so I can perform many activities in one platform.

SAP's AI uses my company's official data effectively through natural language processing. I can ask a question in natural language, English, related to sales revenue per month, per company, and it impacts the output, which gives me a table or chart. I can insert this chart or table in the story.

To ensure that data keeps the same meaning and relationships when it moves between different systems, I can integrate different systems not in model but through story and blending. If I have more models from different sources, I can blend all of them in one story to give one interactive dashboard.

I have used SAP Connect to integrate data with external parties or third-party platforms through OData or APIs. This integration had no negative impact and is more secure and readable for SAP Analytics Cloud, which provides secure systems and readable data.

SAP's support for AI and ML has enabled new use cases in my organization, as I have a category for predictive and support algorithms including time series, classification, and regulation in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Moving all my BW data to SAP Business Data Cloud makes my daily data operations faster and easier. I can do modeling in BW, and the data moves through import or live connection to SAP Analytics Cloud, which is faster.

I have connections between SAP and Google, specifically Google Drive for sales, but I have not integrated with Azure or any cloud other than SAP until now. Connecting SAP to Google through OData or APIs has changed the way my team manages and moves data.

I am using the integration between SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud. This integration affects my data management processes through the cloud connector that connects to the database to HANA through Calc view or CDS views.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers is basically one solution for all analytics and planning applications. The integration of all the third-party as well as SAP data sources in one platform allows us to deliver machine learning, analytics, and planning. Using this, the decision-making process is very easy with one platform.

SAP Business Data Cloud positively impacts my organization because SAP provides built-in data products that we can easily install and share the results with clients. The implementation of our organization's requirements is more straightforward than with other platforms, and decision-making is easier because SAP provides the built-in data products app that follows SAP best practices. Based on this, any business can cover their scenario easily, and decision-making increases profit.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers that stand out most include having all the data in one place, which is a significant advantage. With Data Bricks being introduced, the zero copy functionality is another major advantage that is really helpful for development files, allowing data to exist in one place rather than navigating between multiple systems, which creates complexity in our current setup.

I cannot confirm that SAP Business Data Cloud is saving time or reducing errors in my day-to-day work or my team's workflow, but the straightforward integration is valuable for having a business understanding and building flows easily. Currently, we are facing integration challenges in other areas that are quite difficult and require coordination with the infrastructure team to resolve.

SAP Analytics Cloud is a good analytics tool, featuring capabilities such as stories, where the end-user can create their stories and dashboard, and planning functionality for prediction, analysis, and financial planning. You can also build your data model and customize it during your connectivity with that source and build your stories with graphs, charts, and some sort of analysis and details.

You can build financial planning, headcount planning, and payroll planning with multiple versions and multiple scenarios to display actual versus budget on a dashboard.

SAP Analytics Cloud provides benefits such as time savings and cost-effectiveness because anyone using a planning tool traditionally relies on Excel sheets to build planning. Building an Excel sheet for payroll planning with a lot of data and scenarios is very hard and takes time, consuming money from resources at man-day rates. However, when using SAP Analytics Cloud, you simply connect to data, load all your data, and apply one formula to all of them at once, saving time and money.

The best features SAP Business Data Cloud offers are Delta and Zero copy.

The Delta feature and Zero copy benefit my work because Delta helps me move data to the data lake without using more company resources.

SAP Business Data Cloud has positively impacted my organization by federating SAP data, which is now available for all to use.

One specific outcome that shows how making SAP data available for everyone has helped my organization is that we have saved 80% of our time because we are not creating custom reports in SAP anymore.

The integration and orchestration have been so good that I do not see any performance degradation or challenges in taking data out from SAP. It has worked well for us, with only a couple of challenges that we have figured out.

SAP Business Data Cloud offers new ways of working compared to the on-premise SAP BW platform. It's a complete shift for both developers and end users, which I feel is a significant improvement.

I see a positive effect from SAP Business Data Cloud on our organization as we consolidate our entire analytics offering, whether it is through traditional reports and dashboards or building a complete data foundation with a single version of truth on SAP Business Data Cloud.

In SAP Analytics Cloud, there is a functionality called the best practice reports. SAP provides pre-built reports for certain functions and certain modules. For example, for SuccessFactors and S/4HANA Cloud, there are pre-built reports available which are commonly used by customers. This functionality is very useful, as once connectivity is done, it allows users to easily populate data and generate reports from the system out-of-the-box. View full review »

In my opinion, it is good for analytics. Everything is in the cloud. You can also use it for non-SAP sources. You can bring in visualizations for the data, for anything. It's a good feature for Analytics Cloud.

Predictive analytics is used for data sources. Sometimes, they are custom; you can bring your custom data source directly from predictive analytics, or we can use custom tables for forecasting. Forecasting and planning for sales and financial balance sheets are done here.

AI has already started this year. AI for ABAP has started, and AI for Analytics processes is there. Joule is one main feature; you can use it within SAP Analytics Cloud. It is used for planning.

Some beneficial features include data adaptation or massaging capabilities – the platform makes that simple.

The user interface (UI) is also quite intuitive and straightforward.

Visualization is quite seamless and awesome. Once the data messaging is set up, it's straightforward and simple to select how it should be displayed. So, that's another advantage of SAP.

Predictive analytics capabilities are also good. It has positively impacted decision-making. Recently, we did predictive analysis for a Middle East client. We worked with their OT systems.

So, for OT systems, the client needed to plan for predictive maintenance. They have a heavy manufacturing focus and wanted to accumulate data and get strong insights.

They had various data sources – your furnace has some data, your chiller has different data, and it's all local to those systems. The challenge is getting everything centralized for insights. We leveraged SAP for this, and it was very beneficial because they're primarily an SAP client, meaning they use SAP ERP

So it's easy to pull data from OT systems and SAP. Having the Cloud component is also helpful, as they can look at and change reports at runtime. They were able to get insights five levels deep.

Most often integration is there, but in cases where adapters or connectors are not available, we have to opt for DataSphere to bring data into the landscape, and then it allows connection. For the majority of cases, it works well, especially because the integration suite is helpful.

The most valuable feature of SAP Analytics Cloud for data analysis tasks is its compatibility with the SAP ecosystem. It is easy to integrate with SAP ERP and BW systems, allowing smooth data transfer and live connections without much development. This compatibility makes it stand out, especially compared to other systems like Power BI or Tableau, which often require more adaptation and specific development. Additionally, it supports SAP's push towards cloud solutions, integrating well with SAP BTP and other cloud offerings.

A few things are industry norms or standards. A data warehouse is available to pull data, change data types, and play with it (manipulate it). All data types don't allow easy changes. For example, if it's numbers, you cannot search with regular expressions. However, some things require exploring or finding regular expressions to show, decide, or conclude.

In the data warehouse, you're free to make changes. You can make everything text, meaning it's always a string. Even numbers appear as text, giving you the flexibility to work with all columns.

This is a regular feature of a data warehouse, but SAP Analytics Cloud also offers an out-of-the-box visualization package. This is handy for showcasing data, and everything is scalable. You can make changes and codes to see data differently. You can add different visualizations that aren't available in the package, and connect to third-party systems easily.

You have the flexibility of reading metadata. Based on the schema details, you can make necessary changes and resend data while complying with the same schema during syncing. This is useful if you are processing data. Command-line interface (CLI) mode is also available.

SAP Analytics Cloud allows you to quickly perform various tasks in terms of virtualization. CyberArk itself requires some enhancements to better connect with other technologies. While it's easy to connect with SAP, using analytics tools may sometimes necessitate sourcing information from different platforms. You might need data from SAP or other technologies/platforms to access specific information not available within SAP. SAP is effective for managing storage and enhancing virtualization capabilities. However, when accessing data from diverse platforms, complexities may arise.

There is a seamless integration with SAP S4HANA which is really valuable to our organization and its functions. Since the data is stored in the same ecosystem, it creates a simple process of building dashboards, without making the process cumbersome The Analytics Cloud provides standardized templates and storage options, making it easy to plug into existing structures.

We're utilizing custom stories that have already been developed, streamlining the development process. It serves as a convenient starting point and contributes to the overall ease of development. Another advantage is that it doesn't provide the same level of calculation power as Power BI and Tableau. SAP Analytics Cloud emphasizes pushing analytics back into the database, recommending data manipulation and preparation outside of the platform. This approach is seen as an advantage, as it allows for more robust data handling.

The most valuable feature of the tool is machine learning. The machine learning algorithms are inbuilt and strong. I really like that feature because we don't need to do any coding. Normally, we used to do coding in Jupyter notes or Anaconda. It's another tool for analytics or for data science. We used to write Python code, and then try to fetch the data from the backend system, and perform the analysis, based on the batch. SAP Analytics is more real-time analytics and the use case which I use the tool for, with S/4HANA itself. SAP Analytics makes it much easier for me to have the data directly in real-time, to perform this machine learning. I have also seen some good automation features for budgeting and budgeting processes. This combined feature gives a very good flavor to perform the analytics.

The most valuable features are on the application side, where you can design applications into your analytics on the platform.

There are many scripting capabilities with a language that is close to JavaScript. It's not exactly JavaScript but it's a spin-off of it.

It has a rich number of templates included that you can enhance.

It's easier to get going on, compared to other solutions.

Many of my clients are apprehensive when you have to deploy the solution. They ask you if the data could be transferred to visualization software.

It's cloud-based, and what's good about the cloud is that it doesn't need to store any data. It can read your data and generate it from the NetApp file. It can generate your model or how your model is going to look like. You don't need to transfer your data set to the cloud to report on.

It's quite flexible.

The other really compelling part of it is that it's also a planning application. You can do full life cycle from plan through execution in a single platform. That's quite unique for SAP. A lot of the other software vendors do analytics products and they do planning products. This is quite a unique combination that has both BI predictive and planning in a single application. I have always appreciated SAP for its data capacity. That's a basic requirement since there is always a lot of data. We could be dealing with 100 TB of data. SAP is the only tool that can survive with that volume.

Another good thing about SAP is that it has powerful tools like the SAP Data View and HANA and BO configuration. They will always give you better results with any type of data and any amount of data within a short time.

For report scheduling, I always prefer SAP because it has the most powerful scheduling features, like sending reports to more than 1,000 customers per day. That option is not as good in Microsoft BI and in Tableau it only exists as an add-on option.

The product is flexible and has features like AI, link analysis, and insights. It has many features. I can search, and it creates automatic charts without selecting anything. For example, I can ask, "What is the gross margin?" the tool builds a chart based on my question.

SAP Analytics Cloud's visualization capabilities for data analysis are good.

SAP Business Data Cloud offers a Data Sphere platform for data orchestration and storage, providing excellent features while being connected with BTP and integrating SAP AI, machine learning, and general integration.

The platform's data orchestration and AI integration make a significant difference for my team by featuring native connectivity with Databricks. We can store data in our Data Sphere, utilizing the zero-copy approach to use Databricks machine learning features and bring back data for reporting in SAC platform. We are currently working on a POC for this scenario, where we will consume data in Databricks without making copies and will use it for our dashboarding and reporting.

SAP Business Data Cloud has positively impacted my organization, although it is not fully implemented yet as we are currently conducting the POC. Our business requires using AI and machine learning features, and this tool has advanced capabilities which we want to leverage to provide value and fulfill current and future requirements for the business.
