We help OCI teams with many things, such as improving the hygiene of the environment. We bring out ideal instances, test storage, and anything that is wrong in the environment. We also perform tag management and policy checks and create recommendations for service providers and enterprise customers around what is wrong or what can be corrected within the historical cloud environment.

We wouldn’t give monthly tracking to the budget for testing up to three months in Oracle Cloud Environment. We can also schedule environments to be shut down during off-peak hours, such as at night or in the afternoon. Our tools can then start the environment as needed, which can help customers save money.

I'm not a cloud engineer. I'm the head of the automation department. Given we are a small startup, everybody is a jack of all trades, and I need to know my way around the cloud a little bit as well. We work with computer instances, and we have some databases there.

We have some security groups and IP whitelisting so that we can run our automation for certain clients and do some VPNs. We don't have any product or application built on the solution. It just supports the process automation that we run.

The POC for Oracle Cloud Platform is done. After POC, we have tested with various applications and found it is optimizing us with less time, so that's why we are using it.

Our specialty is insurance software. We were primarily vendors for software licensing, but we've transitioned our product to the cloud in the last two years.

The deployment depends on what a client wants. We use public clouds for clients that are willing to take our products as a SaaS model. For the ones that are on-prem, we split the load between the core platform, which is on-prem, and non-essential services, which are on the cloud.

Oracle Cloud has many use cases, and even open-source or non-Oracle products can be hosted on it. Some customers of my company even host SAP applications on Oracle Cloud. People use it for healthcare applications and other third-party applications. People also use it for development purposes.

Oracle has Development Cloud Services bundled with Java, so people use it for application development. Oracle Cloud is also being used for high-performance computing, for example, in wireless industries with crash tests or speed tests that create a huge amount of data in a short period.

Other use cases for Oracle Cloud include large-scale migrating and hosting of databases, for example, enterprise-class databases and open-source databases, which is something that my company does.

Oracle Cloud is also used for hosting ERP products such as SAP Oracle, Oracle ERP, EQL, JD Edwards, etc. It's also used for engineering, for example, GIS applications.

Currently, my company has one customer doing a POC and plans to go live in early 2023, once the POC is approved. For this customer, Oracle Cloud will be utilized for multiple GIS applications, collecting location data through IoT, etc.

Oracle Cloud has multiple use cases. In the area of data management, there's the Oracle Data Lakehouse which is a complete suite of services for managing both structured and unstructured data from different sources. My company works with various customers on multiple use cases. These are customers from different industries involved in different scenarios. One healthcare customer is analyzing the high volume of data multidimensionally with patients, particularly through predictive analysis of certain treatments. Because of in-built products on Oracle Cloud, my team can do some of the concepts based on what industry leaders have in mind. My team can translate that into action points very quickly.

Other use cases of Oracle Cloud include tech management, ERP, and geological information systems. You can also use it for asset reports, maintenance reports, and utility management such as electricity, water, telephone, etc. It can also be utilized for transportation, traffic management, management of parking spaces for large cities or large building complexes, etc. Oracle Cloud can help in building applications for a smart city. It's suitable for a lot of use cases. You just need to utilize, model, configure, and implement Oracle Cloud.

We are hosting and migrating customers to the Oracle cloud, this is the service that we provide. We don't have our own cloud, we use Oracle in the backend.

Many individuals are shifting towards interconnected digital systems, and one significant advantage is Oracle's comprehensive cloud-integrated solution. A large number of people currently utilize Oracle's database, which allows for smoother integration into the cloud platform when migrating from an on-premise solution. Having certified resources is crucial since even if you have an excellent solution, it can be challenging to operate and maintain without qualified individuals. Unfortunately, there is a scarcity of certified resources for solutions, such as SAP, and Dynamics does not yet offer this feature, Oracle Cloud is ahead of the game in this regard.

Right now we're using two cloud platforms, one being Oracle Cloud Platform and the other Microsoft Azure. We've been using Oracle Cloud Platform since 2018 and Azure since 2015.

We use Oracle Cloud Platform with the OCI Infrastructure as a Service offerings, and we're essentially using it for the compute instances and nothing else. We have deployed some servers running Oracle Linux which are being used as our main development environment. Then, we also have servers for our UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment. Neither of these use cases are for production environments, and they are only used for development and testing.

To access Oracle Cloud Platform, we have a VPN site-to-site connection from our site to Oracle Cloud. We don't have the FastConnect option because we don't have a very good reason to use it.

As for users, we typically have around 20 people who are connected to the Oracle environment and who do their work on it. Regarding maintenance, we have three people on technical staff for that, who are DBAs and architects.

Oracle Cloud Platform is user-friendly. It is used for our infrastructure and other services. A form or a database can be created where codes are uploaded. Due to the recent developments, you can also easily upload all the solutions on the cloud, without any plug-ins or forms. The conditions are already defaulted and you will just require it to configure. The platform is new, with a lot of features. However, it isn't as comfortable as AWS and others. Now they are receiving a lot of patches and upgrades which are customized according to the requirements, according to the gaps, including the reconnection filter.

We have customers working with these services and we work with those clients. Specifically, cloud services are made up of autonomous databases. There is an OCI (Oracle Call Interface) and this is configured depending exactly on the service that you want to use. When you talk about an autonomous database it makes it is easy to automate your services. You do not have to worry about the purchase and the upgrading of databases because Oracle will be taking care of those things.

Right now, here in our country, we are experiencing a problem where people are not able to understand the importance of this autonomous database architecture. My take is that it is the type of service that can elevate a certain type of company.

Most people are worried about putting their databases on the cloud because they worry about security issues. But with cloud end-customers, most of the people respond in a promising way now.
