Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's a very good IT tool for a company that provides IT services. It is very helpful for technicians to work with the tool to see all of the customers in one place and then manage all of the computers in one place.""The implementation is nice and easy.""It's definitely improved the help-desk servicing, et cetera.""The most value we get from this solution is that everything is on a patch cycle.""Maybe they could improve the capability to be multi-tenant.""The database is great. It's a nicely ordered database.""This product saves us a lot of time and increases our efficiency.""The initial setup is easy and the deployment is quick."

"Deploys faster new virtual services.""Broad range of tools to create executive and operations dashboards.""The template management makes the deployment of the firmware updates much faster.""OneView provides a single console, which is manageable without physical access.""The most valuable features are the composable structure, infrastructure, and automation.""Profile templates: The ability to generate the profiles and lay them down so the servers are built consistently. I would say that's probably the biggest piece of it.""The stability is very good. I have never had an issue with it over the three years that I have been using it.""The solution's technical support was great...The initial setup of HPE OneView was easy."

Cons
"The project management needs improvement and there's a section of the product called configuration that also needs to be improved.""I have a problem with the reports available on the solution. I don't understand how to work with the reporting functionality. For example, when I want to give a report for a specific machine, ConnectWise doesn't seem to have this as an option. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if the reporting functionality is just poorly conceived.""There could be better linkages between ConnectWise Automate and Manage from a ticketing perspective. Automate and Manage each has its own ticketing system. We use the one in Manage, but it'd be nice if they were linked directly to the one in Automate.""The wait time for a support ticket to be addressed needs to be reduced. They take a couple of days to get back. It is a little frustrating when we have to wait for a couple of days. A lot of times, the issue is critical for us. If we're reaching out to their support team and submitting a ticket, it is because we need it handled quickly.""Patching and reporting need improvements, especially reporting. The reporting engine is quite outdated, so you end up having to use your own dashboard.""They always change the GUI to some dumb-down version of tiles which are more "user-friendly", but slows my team down in the end.""Technical support was helpful.""The menu doesn't always load properly."

"Integration could be improved. Sometimes OneView doesn't identify physical hardware.""We've had a few issues. We just upgraded to the 3.9.0 version. We think that now that we are on that version, hopefully a lot of those things are going to go away for us.""I think HPE could make more user-friendly interfaces, exclude Java and move to an HTML5 platform, make more detailed documentation, and lower the price.""I saw, maybe three years ago or two years ago here, or in Barcelona, at the HPE Discover conference, a feature that you can update Clusterware with VMware. But the feature is still not live in production. Currently, you have to do all the firmware updates and then you have to do the VMware updates. So you have two reboots and it would be better if it was just one.""I had some minor difficulties with upgrading, but the solution still works fine.""They can improve reporting and provide more customized reports. Currently, reporting is a bit limited. It can be complex to learn and manage for beginners. Because of my experience, I find it comfortable to manage, which might not be the case with beginners. It would be good if they can make it a little bit easier to understand. They can provide a more graphical view of connectivity and other things. Their technical support can also be improved.""The tool doesn't send automated alerts via email...We should be able to receive notification emails when a server or hardware issue arises, which would be helpful if someone is unavailable in the office.""It would be better if we can add every HPE device to OneView, such as MSA, as well as the other servers like the DL server and ML server."
