We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best features are that it is a cloud-based and a multi-tenant tool.""This solution has a user-friendly interface and very good documentation with solutions that helped us in working with the tool efficiently.""The connection configuration part and the drag-and-drop integration module are the most valuable features for me.""It is a low-code and high-configuration platform, which is very valuable. Develop once and run anywhere is another useful feature. It also has connectors for more than 200 applications. It provides value for money. Our customers who have implemented this solution have a very high ROI.""The Salesforce and NetSuite Application specific “connectors” provide a layer of abstraction on top of the SOAP-based APIs to streamline integration development.""Low-code development is the most valuable feature.""The iPaaS functionality is very mature. The browser based IDE is also very mature and stable.""I like the tool's optimization feature."

"It's easy to understand, makes flows and is efficient.""The most valuable features are easy integration, quick tab to develop, quick tab to market, and interactive integration platform.""Their automation and workflows are very strong, and you can build the workflows very easily and quickly.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""Workato is low code, intuitive, and easy to use.""It is easier to use than other technical open-source technologies.""It is very easy to use. It takes complex workloads away, and it provides very smooth integration. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box connectors. It has got a lot of out-of-the-box APIs, which makes it really easy to integrate with applications for different use cases, whether it is in finance, HR, or customer operations. It is by far our favorite integration product."

"Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana.""Zapier handles everything under the sun that you would think you need in automation. It is the most mature integration platform and service on the market.""We can connect Zapier with Zoho CRM for lead generation. I like the tool's drag and drop feature.""The ability to connect web applications to trigger actions in another app after having enriched, formatted, delayed, grouped, and filtered is really valuable for many businesses.""Zapier is user friendly and makes it easy to integrate different tools. It has a drag and drop functionality which makes it easy to connect environments.""The product's most valuable feature is automation.""Zapier's interface, for me, is the solution's greatest value proposition. It is designed and developed for people who don't have a clue about what they're trying to do. It has a very user-friendly interface.""Zapier’s most valuable feature is its ability to interconnect applications or devices."

Cons
"There is no validation in the mapping profile custom scripting, such as IntelliSense or advanced error checking.""In day-to-day operations, tracking transactions is a major challenge. It takes hours to track a single transaction. It is not a straightforward process.""The deployment was simple, but the implementation is missing a lot of capabilities.""The API can use some work to come up to speed with the competition but Dell has plans and is working on resolving that.""There are still some areas that need improvement. For example, when updates are going on, the product becomes very slow.""They should create a custom connector option. With this, they could improve where the user can create the connector, based on their usage.""They need to introduce more configurable functions to remove scripting or coding. Scripting should be minimized. It should have exhaustive functions. Currently, it lacks in this aspect.""Lots of enhancements are needed in the API portal so that the developers can view the definitions, try out the APIs, etc."

More Boomi AtomSphere Integration Cons →

"A limitation is that their cloud presence is only in North America and Europe.""The management dashboard in the solution is an area with shortcomings that needs improvement.""It is tedious to make a tailor-fit function.""Workato's Extract, transform, and load (ETL) and extract, load, and transform (ELT) are not very strong and could be improved for very complex transformations.""The only minor drawback would be if there was a UI at the front of it, for apps and for a portal as well, it would make it really easy. It would be really useful if there were more apps capabilities.""From the deployment point of view, our customers encounter platform downtime where it does not serve the actual request on the systems.""I would like to see the dashboarding and reporting processes improved."

More Workato Cons →

"Zapier could be a little faster, but that might not be possible. I would encourage Zapier to make more API endpoints for each application""I would like to see them improve the Quickbase integration. Currently, it only allows triggering actions when records are added, but it would be more useful if we could also trigger actions when records are modified or deleted.""There is room for improvement in the support. They are not responsive, and they don't take much time to get resolved.""With Zapier, improvements are required in the areas of concerns like bugs, ease of use, and documentation.""It is not worth the money if you have a little bit of a technical mind...Zapier is not able to set up different modules. When automation doesn't work, it's not that easy to find why it didn't work.""Zapier needs to improve in the same way most RPA solutions should, such as Robocorp, Make, or UiPath. They are not good at helping you find the connections that you need for the problem that you have. For example, if need something on Instagram. I'm going to have to do research for hours to be able to find the components or the app, which is going to do what I need it to do. It makes it difficult to use the system when you don't know what to use.""I think that this solution should have more apps connected to it.""Some apps are not available yet. For instance, a connection with Joomla! would be great. In general, all the most-used apps are available, but I bumped into Joomla! with a client."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The Platinum package is good for licensing, but I’m not sure about the cost and improvements."
  • "They do not charge by the number of people using the software (client-server model), but rather they charge based on the number of connections used. This makes it very cost effective."
  • "The licensing model of Dell Boomi is based on a ‘pay-per-use’ model."
  • "This solution is very economical (based on the connections)."
  • "The pricing is a bit complex. While the entry fee may be lower than other solutions, it could be expensive depending on your usage."
  • "When it comes to pricing, it's not so much about being less expensive as it is about how they don't tie to the hardware on the underlined VMware that you run on, as other vendors do"
  • "The cost of the solution is in the neighborhood of $20,000 annually. There are no costs above the standard licensing fee."
  • "Approximately 20k annually."

  • "On a scale of one to ten, the pricing is around a six. We have a consumption model and the pricing is higher. If you are using any kind of ML-based approach, machine learning, or some advanced analytics, you may have to pay more."
  • "Speaking about price, I would say that it's market-related. Also, there are costs in addition to the standard license fees since different add-ons depend on what you require."
  • "Workato is an expensive solution."
  • More Workato Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
  • "Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
  • "It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
  • "The price of Zapier is approximately $75 monthly."
  • "Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
  • "Per task, there is a monthly plan involving 15 euros...Also, in different forms, they just give you the ability to use different features. They charge 18.58 euros for the first standard plan, which includes 750 tasks. So, it is about 25 cents per task."
  • "It's very affordable."
  • "The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."

Zapier is a tool for primarily non-technical users to connect together web apps.

An integration between two apps is called a Zap. A Zap is made up of a Trigger and one or more Actions or Searches.

Whenever the trigger happens in one app, Zapier will automatically perform the actions or searches in another app in order.

Zaps are very lightweight and easy to set up. Zaps do not import or export old data (they only operate on new items created after the Zap is enabled). Zaps are also not kept in sync ("two way syncing") after the Zap is triggered.

Zaps are deceivingly simple if you're used to dealing with complex and difficult integrations. Their simplicity is what enables anyone to create them.
