While Automation Anywhere itself doesn't require application-specific maintenance, we still need to perform regular maintenance on the server it's running on. One person is enough for the maintenance.
View full review »Maintenance is only required for the on-premise version of Automation Anywhere and is performed by a couple of administrators.

Maintenance is required for server-based environments but not for cloud-based architectures since Automation Anywhere is self-hosted and managed by them.
View full review »We have a team of six dedicated to support and maintenance activities, managing approximately 250 automations across our organization. The level of maintenance required varies depending on the developer's experience and the complexity of the automation. Junior developers may create bots that are more prone to errors, leading to increased maintenance. However, senior developers or well-designed automations typically require less maintenance. In addition to support and maintenance, our team is also responsible for minor enhancements, bug fixes, and upgrades or downgrades of our automation systems.

Every day, technology evolves. Maintenance is necessary when components change, or new versions are released because specific code segments may become obsolete. We must closely monitor the entire ecosystem for errors and swiftly resolve them. Bugs can sometimes arise due to technical coding, so we must address these issues or share detailed platform information with Automation Anywhere for their analysis. If a core issue is identified, they will take the necessary steps to resolve it. They may request that clients modify their environment, application, or component handling for technology or third-party matters.

However, in my situation, as a system integrator partner of Automation Anywhere, they inform us of available hotfixes, which we then download and implement without issue.

Automated bots monitor the active solutions and restart machines as needed to prevent downtime and reduce the need for manual maintenance.

Automation Anywhere requires a dedicated maintenance team, with a recommended ratio of ten technicians for every hundred users, to ensure optimal performance and stability.
View full review »In terms of maintenance, the updates happen monthly. I do not have to do anything, but there is some maintenance when users want to get connected to run bots. There is a little bit of upkeep that happens there. Other developers sometimes do not have the necessary permissions. That process is not particularly painstaking. It is usually painless.
There are two or three of us involved in the maintenance. We spend very little time on maintenance. It does not happen too often.
View full review »With the cloud platform, we don’t require much maintenance. However, the bots we create do need significant maintenance. The time required for maintenance varies. Some automations are very stable, while others may not be due to issues with the developer’s execution or the quality of the target application.

Automation Anywhere doesn't require any maintenance.
View full review »Automation Anywhere does require maintenance on my end. The platform provides updates and package management. For instance, for browser automation, if you are using browser package version 1.1, you must use the same version across all environments; otherwise, the bot won't run. While it's possible to download and deploy the bot without adhering to package updates for production setup, managing package versions can still require attention. Thus, maintenance can be neither too simple nor too difficult, but it is necessary when developing with Automation Anywhere.
View full review »It requires some maintenance, but they are actively addressing it. They install patches and provide updates for the package versions. As a user of the SaaS solution, we don’t need to worry about these details. However, for the on-premises version, I believe users need to manually implement the solutions. Whenever there are updates or new package versions available, they deliver them to us, and we must install them in the control room.

Maintenance is not required on the end-user's part, though if it is an attended setup, some monitoring may be necessary.

View full review »There has been no real maintenance beyond the maintenance of the bots or flows themselves, which is caused by outside parties or platforms making changes to their data or UI.
View full review »Automation Anywhere requires that maintenance is taken care of by the development team only. If there is anything needed, we contact customer support. We have support from them as well. To be honest, until now, we have not faced any major issues, and for whatever issue we have faced, either the support team has helped us or the PS team has helped us.
