In UEM, the most helpful part of Windows Management is the baseline policy and central script; using this, you can replace all the AD GPO policy. You can deploy any kind of policy for Windows devices, and this is the main component of the UEM for Windows management.

The Workspace ONE UEM interface is very easy to understand; there are not many doubts regarding configuration and providing use cases, so it's good.

The single sign-on feature, which integrates with the Identity Manager is one of the most vital features. The VMware Workspace ONE Tunnel is another crucial aspect of the solution. 

Authentication processes become seamless with the single sign-on feature of VMware Workspace ONE. Whether the application resides within the premises or outside, the users don't need to reenter the credentials, VMware Workspace ONE auto authenticates using scripts.

The solution can also integrate the app catalog with the Intelligent Hub, which acts as the agent. Applications catalogs and similar aspects can be accessed through one single interface, whether it's from an Android, iOS, or Windows device. It's a very user-friendly tool in terms of accessibility. 

Feature-wise, VMware Identity Manager is not a good product but can definitely be considered an average product. Though VMware claims that VMware Identity Manager is an IAM solution, it is just 50 percent of what an IAM product delivers.

The advantages of VMware Identity Manager can be experienced if one uses VMware Horizon.

The Client Control feature in VMware Workspace ONE is most valuable for managing client devices, including mobile devices and laptops. Another impactful feature is the per-service tooling, allowing access to the data centre on a per-application basis. We use the complete VMware stack, integrating Horizon for application delivery and Carbon Black for endpoint protection. We have outsourced our device management, which streamlines our IT tasks as our supplier handles them competitively.

It's a very good technology. If I’m in Saudi Arabia today and in the USA tomorrow, I can access our internal applications without any downtime. I can access our office application through mobile phones, laptops, or other personal devices. People suffered losses during COVID-19. The product enables us to access our internal applications from anywhere in the world.

There are multiple features. It depends on the customer's use case, but for customers using VMware, we've seen that conditional-based authentication establishing a micro VPN channel to internal applications is most valuable. They know these are the only devices accessing their internal applications, and no outside devices can access any applications. 

That's the overall security posture organizations are looking for, and that's what we're delivering right now.

Moreover, the integration capability of Workspace ONE enhances the IT infrastructure. Good integrations are available. There are a few limitations, but both Citrix and VMware are working on enhancements. But the integrations are pretty much similar.

For Workspace ONE, because they have an integration with the Workspace ONE access, the most valuable feature is the integration with the tool. We can do single sign-on and make use of the same user account to log into multiple applications. Security-wise, the solution is also very secure. Workspace ONE is very flexible in a way. Functionality wise the solution is okay.

The product’s most valuable feature is the instant synchronization. It swiftly synchronizes changes made on mobile devices.

The platform provides a stable environment for operations and quickly creates new environments. Additionally, it offers efficient flexibility.

The solution's Self-Service feature is valuable because it gives a single managed application that users can download and use based on their preferences and productivity.

Our customers request this solution because they like the repetition.

Basically, the data containerization and the ability to publish and consistently push apps is the most valuable aspect of the product.

There was nothing that the product couldn't do except force upgrades of iOS on iPhones.

Other solutions have to integrate with other tools to have this functionality, whereas VMware Workspace ONE has its own application gateway tunnel.

You can upgrade and migrate the existing group policies that we use for VMware Workspace ONE for the active directory. We can push the policies and group policies. We can migrate it and manage it from VMware Workspace ONE.

Windows Patch Management is a wonderful feature of the solution.

It's provided us with a lot of benefits. We can control the app and wipe any data remotely in case of loss or theft. 

We can also apply patches to ensure the latest versions are available.

It's meeting our requirements right now. It's aligned with our internet policy as well as our security policy.

What I found most valuable in VMware Workspace ONE is that it's user-friendly. It has a good interface for users to get access to applications and files. It's also a good source of feedback between IT and users.

Clear and concise documentation is most valuable. That's a feature for me. 

Its UI is extremely easy to use whether you're an advanced user or a novice user. When I first opened it up and had to learn the product, I was easily a novice. By the end of the third month, I was digging into the backend of the system and using it as a highly advanced user to accomplish what I needed to accomplish, and I was able to do it through the UI mostly.

Workspace ONE adds a lot of value compared to Microsoft because Microsoft is a late entry into the market, and they're still developing their product from an end-user perspective. Workspace ONE has a slight edge because of AirWatch. VMware has developed its product over a longer period of time, so they have better integrations as a whole solution.

Workspace ONE has a pretty broad range of features and capabilities. It's like a market-wide buffet that hasn't yet spread out. However, when compared to its competitors, such as Microsoft Intune, Intune is behind the game, but it has been catching up in terms of the capabilities and features that it now has to offer.

The Identity component of this solution is its most valuable feature.

VMware provides a wide range of services that are second to none.

The most valuable feature is the security policies.

Part of the SaaS environment is the VMware identity provider, which we use to provide single sign-on for mobile phones and apps.

The most valuable features of VMware Workspace ONE are security and having support for all the latest features that are coming out from Apple. They're pretty fast at adopting new features. This is one of the most vital aspects of mobile device management systems.

When compared to competitors, VMware Workspace ONE is quite good.

As we are driving this business for the credit bureau, all of the benefits and features are available, as well as a few regulatory terms from the RBA. We have to abide by the rules and the regulatory terms. The MDM solution satisfies all of the requirements.

We recently integrated Workspace ONE with our intelligence report, and this is a great tool from a reporting point of view. In our daily business, we get several requests from businesses to provide an Adobe request for monitoring, whether it is for Android or iOS devices. The main benefit of this tool is that we can exclude the report for applications. Another benefit of Workspace ONE is that it supports many devices, which is a major benefit for us.

Its value is when you use it with a Workspace ONE UEM solution as it is part of the ecosystem for VMware Workspace ONE.

Technically speaking, it's a very good product.

The setup of the product is not complex.

One of the features that I enjoyed most was the integration with Azure AD because I could use VMware Identity Manager to standardize the User Principal Name coming from Active Directory. You have Azure AD Connect to do that. In between, if you have vIDM handling it, you can easily get the synchronization of users into your VM and standardize the User Principal Name. If you require quality assurance for handling it, you can actually count on the vIDM to do so. That was one of the main things I enjoyed about the product. 

From a remote management perspective, I like the management and the inventory.

The most valuable feature of the solution is that it enables us to remotely manage the devices, which is its purpose, and to push applications to the mobile devices from the portal.

You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed.

The customer needed to cut their budget. They already owned Workspace One which was an additional cost. VMware just released an MDM-only version of Workspace One, which was much less and that met their budget needs. They were able to stay on the same platform and cut their budget as they needed.

All of the features have been quite helpful. They are all equally powerful and equally valuable for businesses - however, for different reasons. It just depends on the business which features end up being the most valuable to them.

Mainly, the solution offers a simplified administration, which is likely the biggest value for a business. The solution makes it possible for businesses to free their people up to think about the next steps for the business.

 Particularly during COVID, everybody had to evolve all of their businesses to survive. Everyone has been looking for better ROI.

Cloud-based VMware Workspace ONE is very good. It is easy to deploy and manage. Maintenance is also quite simple. 

Once you get to know the solution it's quite simple to use. It's really a matter of pushing profiles. Ease of use is a good aspect. 

Workspace ONE has something like an orchestrator model that allows me to configure a set of steps to onboard new PCs, laptops, or tablets. So, it makes my work easy.

It was easy to use. I don't really remember it very well. I used it for a short time frame, but it was fairly easy to use. It was fairly streamlined and worked well to some extent for backup.

The most valuable feature for us is the contained browser of the product.

The solution's single plane of glass approach is beneficial. The endpoint management is very good and specific. One of their competitors is Intune, and you have leaks from other services within the Microsoft ecosystem.

The most valuable feature depends on the use case of the clients. However, one feature I like is the Kiosk Mode. In the Kiosk Mode in most cases, the clients only can make available one application developed by the solution and permit the employee or the final client to use only this one application for interaction. This provides a security control layer limiting only one application functionally.

The most valuable aspect of the solution is the ability to remotely manage the devices. That's what it is meant to do. We can push applications to mobile devices from the portal.

Overall, we've been very happy with VMware.

The initial setup is easy and the deployment doesn't take too long.

It is like any other mobile solution. It gives us the ability to control remotely, and that is what we like. We can wipe out and deploy remotely.

It has all of the features that we need to use and that we want to use.

VMware provides a good user experience in terms of the interface.

There is an application authorization process, where a user will request an application and it will go through a process. It follows a workflow and will request authorization from the user's superior, or perhaps the IT department. It makes it really easy when it comes to application management.

I'm happy with the interface and dashboards but the most valuable feature comes from the name of the product - it's now called VMware Access, so it's the access to the different applications and so on that makes it a good product. It provides a single page where you can log in to all of your applications. It saves time and simplifies the work because it has to have the application for iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac OS web-based too. So basically all of our users can use all the applications from any platform. It helps the end-users to work on the road without needing to set up all kinds of VPN connections, etc. There's access to all the applications you want, whenever you want them.

The most valuable feature is that it will use my credentials to access various parts of the infrastructure or other solutions, such as vRealize.

If some kind of disaster happens then it is possible to restore the identity manager database from a backup.

The feature that we find most valuable is the corporate email pushing. It seems quite straightforward and efficient (most of the time).

Managing Mac Devices with profiles. Pushing Apps to iOS devices.

I find the most valuable feature is the MDM on my personal iPhone.

The management console is great. The BYOD management console has a smooth application performance. Whenever I choose an application, template or report, it is easy to use.

I don't have to worry anymore about my data after I used the EMM.

It's all about securing data with the help of the email client called VMware Boxer. It enables end-users to carry data in their mobile devices but there is containerization between the personal data and the organization's data. It helps enhance their security, while still carrying their own BYOD.

Redundancy, manageability, and lack of complexity, are the typical things which make people choose VMware AirWatch.

For me, the integration of AirWatch with various enterprise components is something I like. The way they are partnering with various services, like security services, or some of the big guys like Google, Android, Apple, and including Microsoft; that's really awesome. And the way they look at providing functionality to create self-service and automation, that's really usefully and beneficial. That's where I see they differentiate themselves.

MEM is valuable because all push emails can be monitored.

AirWatch has one of the best User Interfaces and it's quite easy to figure out where particular items are within the menu system.

They have good functionality across all the major platforms, too.

We find this solution allows us to deploy apps more efficiently. We have a vendor that developed an app for their software for use in our company. We were able to deploy this custom built app easily.

We also find the Secure Email Gateway very useful. Active-Sync email routes through that server to the exchange server. With this configuration, we were able to lock down Exchange to only allow active-sync email from this server. We were able to configure the email settings within AirWatch to choose which extensions can be allowed on the email on the mobile device, as well as what app can be used to view attachments. There are alot of other options such as forwarding and screenshots that can be disabled, or restricted. We have implemented this with AirWatch Inbox to further lock down the email functionality and secure the email. We have also been able to deploy outlook settings to Windows desktop OS by using AirWatch.

I also like the ability to enroll devices in shared mode, which allows devices to be "checked out" by users by entering their username/password in the AirWatch app. Once they do this, their email is configured, and any apps, etc are downloaded. When they are done, they sign out, and the email and apps are removed.

I do like the remote wipe and how it allows you to locate a device if it is missing and delete the enterprise data, however these are limited on apple devices due to apple policies and cannot be changed by AirWatch. This will be the same on any MDM provider and isn't limited to just AirWatch. For example, if a device is stolen, you can't wipe it if they have it turned off. It will need to phone back home in order to be wiped. Now you can set a wipe after up to 10 passcode failed attempts which will help keep your data safe if it's stolen. You also can't force location services to be enabled by AirWatch. When enrolled, location services has to be enabled (or enabled later in the settings). AirWatch cannot force location services to be turned on due to Apple policies (and this will be the same for any other MDM provider). If the device is stolen and is phoning home, you can't locate it if location services was disabled or never enabled.

Two of the most valuable features are the MDM, mobile device management, and the content management, the containerization management of apps so that I can have clients that bring their own devices to an enterprise as well as enterprise apps, and I have two different solutions of deploying applications to those mobile devices. There are a lot of other aspects other than security that are advanced features in AirWatch that I didn't see in some of the competitor's products.

We are using two VDA solutions, providing dedicated tech for end-users in our company. The solution is good for providing dedicated resources for dedicated users or GPU base or any IFP kind of base of end-user then we recommend Horizon solutions.
