We mostly use UiPath for downloading reports into Excel files, reconcile reports and generate a result which is sent to the users. It is a faster means for automation.
It is a reliable source for faster automation.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We are considering other options that are more stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We only have five really small programs right now. So, scalability is not an issue for us.
How are customer service and support?
We have not had a need for UiPath tech support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Other departments in our organization were using Blue Prism. I do not know why they chose that versus UiPath. It is possible that they were looking for a higher level of security and stability.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is very good. The license does not have to be in a bundle, like in other competitor products. You only have to purchase at least 10 from the beginning, for one year.

Software Trainer at Bilge Adam
The most important feature is that it is independent of programming languages and can be written with a basic algorithm
What is our primary use case?
I was giving software training in a company. And in this company, there was a time-wasting chore. At the end of the training, we took note of the students who did not come in the polls, and we were recording the polls on the institution's website. Unit supervisors wanted to be notified of the students who were absent three times in a row. This process is constantly checked and repeated because of the automation that I've done with this chore.
How has it helped my organization?
UiPath increased the value added by the company. The reason for this was that the repetitive processes were carried out automatically with UiPath robots. Especially in the field of software, the same processes can be repeated severally. These situations prevented employees from developing as they lost time and prevented them from adding more value. Apart from this, a newly developed platform has prevented some experts from using these programs today.
What is most valuable?
The most important feature of UiPath is that it is independent of programming languages and can be written with a basic algorithm. Moreover, the new library can be added, and new activities can be added to those who know new programming. This allows the program to be developed and supported.
What needs improvement?
UiPath comes with an infrastructure suitable for development. It may be a disadvantage that the simple coding sections in the studio environment are with Visual Basic. Nowadays one of the most widely used languages can be supported with C#. Furthermore, it is possible for robots to interpret the information obtained from repetitive operations by machine learning. This is a situation I believe should be directed to the field of artificial intelligence.
For how long have I used the solution?
Less than one year.

Senior Developer | Data & Automation at a consultancy with 10,001+ employees
Allows you to concatenate all the different pieces/actions/sources you need
What is our primary use case?
Organizational internal processes automation — especially in areas of operation and admin (back-office).
How has it helped my organization?
I believe that UiPath opened topics of RPA and AI/ML in our company (which consequently led to a shift and much stronger orientation of our company — globally — towards technologies and technological areas like software development, the blockchain, IoT, etc.). I believe that this role ("enabler" role) was crucial and also helped tremendously in raising overall 'digital'/'ICT' and 'programming/integration concepts' awareness company-wide. You might agree that the impact of this scale might be much higher and more important than any time and costs saved by actual automation.
What is most valuable?
UiPath Studio as a whole (the very 'core' component of the entire platform) allows you to concatenate all the different pieces/actions/sources you need — and doesn't matter which one that is (API, web, database, legacy system, OS application, email, or anything else like Excel, data transformation or even OCR).
Also, I'd like to highlight Academy (and e-learns) — it's very good and provides you with everything necessary you need to know.
What needs improvement?
2018.3 and 2018.4 releases made a huge leap in terms of functionality — we're not missing anything currently.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Very good (up to 10k robots — definitely OK).
How are customer service and technical support?
Very good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
No.
How was the initial setup?
The entire Orchestrator setup is a bit tricky (a lot of different components — Kibana, Elasticsearch, URL Rewrite, PowerShell scripts), but we had guidance and description on the web which is also very good.
What about the implementation team?
In-house.
What was our ROI?
One year.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Strategic partnership might bring you a significant discount (it also depends on the size of your company and future potential of the vendor — your business cases).
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Yes (Kofax, Blue Prism).

What is most valuable?
- The user interface of UiPath is the best part of the tool. It is easy to learn how to use.
- Another feature is the orchestrator which helps to organize all the robots in one place.
What needs improvement?
- The UiPath could improve in the AI part so that we could build more powerful robots.
- It will be helpful if we could have a diff for better version control.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.

Has a drag and drop feature to build the application
What is our primary use case?
We run many batch jobs manually to accomplish our business processes, which is very cumbersome and prone to human errors. One wrong job run may take many hours to fix the data, which sometimes causes chaos. Due to automation, it is easy to resolve our manual batch job run.
How has it helped my organization?
When batch jobs run, at that time, systems are locked and users are out. Once it is completed, only then do we allow users to log in to the system. Many times, operators run wrong jobs which creates chaos and exceeds the SLAs. After the automation, I believe these issues can be resolved.
What is most valuable?
- Drag and drop feature to build the application
- Keyword-based search and accordingly it just inherits its properties.
What needs improvement?
In the next release, I believe it should include cross-platform features. Like if our product is developed on Linux, then it should be capable of running shell scripts.
For how long have I used the solution?
Still implementing.

- Core activities
- Excel activities
- All the cognitive activities
- Python and customer activities
- UiPath Go! (good platform for the community for knowledge sharing)
- UiPath Academy (best courses apart from other vendors).
What needs improvement?
- Provide a robot as a service model (subscription for the platform services) for partners to provide more chances to SMB to compete enterprises.
- More cognitive services from Google, AWS, Microsoft, integrated into the platform provide wider capabilities for developers and service providers.
For how long have I used the solution?
One to three years.

Helps us reduce time and increase data accuracy
What is our primary use case?
We use UiPath to test automation for asset management, wherein we found it can help us to reduce the time and increase data accuracy.
How has it helped my organization?
We have many manual processes internally, so we decided to start evaluating UiPath for automation. We know that automation will help us to be more efficient and accurate.
What is most valuable?
Browser automation and schedule jobs which are the main activities that require manual work or visual validations by the users.
What needs improvement?
When using UiPath Studio sometimes I felt lost when trying to locate specific activities, so probably will be a good idea to improve the icons beside the activities, so I can remember easily.
