Offers efficiency and helps in saving time
Pros and Cons
- "From the technical side, I have not found any issues with the tool."
- "The licensing cost associated with the tool is too high. If the tool can reduce the license cost, most of the organizations will opt for it."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
UiPath Orchestrator's most valuable in terms of RPA management revolves around queues in the tool. UiPath Document Understanding and HITL are also valuable features associated with UiPath Orchestrator. If any of the invoices get stuck, we can go to the HITL section and manually try to process them. Instead of failing the bot, I think the tool serves as a second verification for the invoices.
The scheduling and management of bots in UiPath Orchestrator is okay.
What needs improvement?
The licensing cost associated with the tool is too high. If the tool can reduce the license cost, most of the organizations will opt for it.
I would like GenAI to be introduced into the tool in the future. Though Generative Extractor is present in the tool, it is still in the preview phase. In our company, we depend on other tools. It is better if we have AI within UiPath, so that on an end-to-end basis, it will be all within one umbrella only.
The tool's support team has certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using UiPath Orchestrator for eight years. My company has a partnership with UiPath.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
Whenever our production was down, sometimes it was very challenging for our company to reach out to the solution's technical support team. The communication goes here and there when we try to get in touch with the support team. When our production was down, and all of our stakeholders and leadership were behind, it was a very challenging situation for us. I rate the technical support a six out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
Back in 2017, the product's initial setup phase was easy. In our company, we have had Uipath Orchestrator upgrades, which we have been managing.
If ten points mean a very easy setup phase, I rate the product's initial setup phase as a seven.
What was our ROI?
In terms of UiPath Orchestrator's contribution to cost savings, I would say that 20,00,000 of our company's savings and some of our FD savings are due to transaction processing, which we can do with the tool's help. The savings are not for the current year but for the last four to five years, and it all depends on the total number of bots that we have processed and the savings we have gotten out of them. I have seen a return on investment from the use of the tool.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The tool's licensing cost is high. I rate the tool an eight or nine on a scale from one to ten, where ten means expensive.
What other advice do I have?
We used to face issues with workflow efficiency earlier, but now efficiency has improved greatly. The tool is a good fit for any of the RPA processes.
The tool can be used in HR, finance, and global governance.
From the technical side, I have not found any issues with the tool.
The biggest impact of the product on our company's customers revolves around efficiency, meaning that large volumes can be processed very quickly, which leads to time savings. Our company's customers can also have a look at processing, while the data remains secure.
Before purchasing the product, I suggest others think from a scalability perspective and deploy the tool on both models, like the on-premises and the cloud one, so that things remain easy. One should not just opt for only one platform.
I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

An easy-to-use solution that helps to manage, monitor, and schedule robots
Pros and Cons
- "The centralized login feature greatly helps because we can also use the Active Directory feature. We do not need to create a new user. We can connect with a user from a company, and we can add all the groups they have to set the features for a specific group. We do not need to do that for each user, and we can do that for a specific role we have in the company. I think this helps a lot."
- "In my opinion, some improvements could be made in the UiPath Orchestrator. For example, it's not so simple to see all the time triggers that we have. We need to check each folder and see all the triggers to see what kind of robot will run. We do not have all the triggers in one place, showing the time they will run and for which process in each folder. Another thing is that the tool for monitoring processes does not show the relation between the process and the machines running them. We can check which machine is available or not because it is running a process, but we cannot see the process and the machine running it in one view."
What is our primary use case?
We use the tool to manage, monitor, and schedule robots.
What is most valuable?
The key feature for scheduling robots is using time triggers or queue triggers.
The centralized login feature greatly helps because we can also use the Active Directory feature. We do not need to create a new user. We can connect with a user from a company, and we can add all the groups they have to set the features for a specific group. We do not need to do that for each user, and we can do that for a specific role we have in the company. I think this helps a lot.
In my opinion, the biggest benefit is the queue feature. It helps a lot to escalate the products. We can divide all our items without building any structure to parallel the robots because the UiPath Orchestrator can manage that. For example, if a specific robot runs an item from the queue, we do not need to calculate that. We need to run another robot to consume the same queue. It will get another item that is not the same item that is already running. It helps a lot because it's very simple to use, and we can escalate the robots. I think it's the best thing we have in the infrastructure.
What needs improvement?
In my opinion, some improvements could be made in the UiPath Orchestrator. We can check which machine is available or not because it is running a process, but we cannot see the process and the machine running it in one view.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with the product for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I didn't have any issues with the solution's stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is very good for scalability. It's very easy to add another robot. For example, if we have a process with lots of items, it's very easy to configure another robot to run the same process and consume all the items in the queue. It already has mechanisms to control which item each robot will run. My company has 20-30 developers.
How was the initial setup?
The tool's deployment is not complex. We need to just upload the package. Deployment needs just a click of a button. It's very simple. After all the configuration is done, so when you have your machine connected to your Orchestrator and your licenses are set up, it’s very easy to deploy. After all this configuration, you just need to click a button and you are good to go.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution is very expensive. Compared to Microsoft, another tool that is much cheaper than the tool, it does not have the same features that UiPath Orchestrator has. The most valuable feature in my platform is the queue items in UiPath Orchestrator to evaluate the products using this feature.
WWith all the new tools in UiPath Orchestrator, we basically need to pay extra for them. For example, if we want to see a dashboard for all the automation or get more useful information from the logs or from the management, we need to pay extra for the UiPath Insight. So, the tool is expensive, and all the additional costs are also very high.
What other advice do I have?
We do not integrate UiPath Orchestrator with our systems. When we need to, we just use the API. It’s not hard, but we haven’t explored the integration feature deeply. We handle everything we need through the API, for example, integrating with our system to create a request and generating a new ticket in our queue. All communications go through the API, and there is a Swagger interface, so it’s not hard to use.
When discussing the Orchestrator Cloud, it is not the user's responsibility. Whenever we need anything adjusted in the UiPath Orchestrator regarding the infrastructure, we need to contact UiPath, so that's very easy. For example, if we need to change any configuration in UiPath Orchestrator, it's simple. You can configure the changes in the Orchestrator Cloud when you have admin rights. So that's good. However, regarding the infrastructure, all the maintenance is not the user's responsibility. UiPath provides all the support.
I rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

Easy to use and automate in areas involving queue management and asset management
Pros and Cons
- "The features of UiPath Orchestrator that I find to be the most useful for automation processes are scheduling, queue management, and asset management."
- "The installation of the product on an on-premises version can take a long time and may involve some troubleshooting procedures to be followed."
What is our primary use case?
My company's customers use the tool. Whosoever uses UiPath Orchestrator in the present gets a cloud license, so if someone wants to go by cloud services, they can get it. People can even use the tool's on-premises version, which is free of cost, but earlier you had to buy it.
What is most valuable?
The features of UiPath Orchestrator that I find to be the most useful for automation processes are scheduling, queue management, and asset management. The tool's asset management is very nice because of the encryption and decryption features. The clients or customers of the tool need not worry about data security because they have access to it, and they can put in the credentials for all their applications. None of the developers or anyone else has access to it, so it is only in the hands of the customers.
What needs improvement?
The installation of the product on an on-premises version can take a long time and may involve some troubleshooting procedures to be followed.
It would be great if the product could be made simple in terms of the installation part.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using UiPath Orchestrator for five years. My company has a partnership with UiPath.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a scalable solution.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support for the solution is very nice, especially when you create a ticket with them. Based on the severity of the problems, the product's support team will address the queries as soon as possible. I have not come across any lame services in terms of the support offered by UiPath. The support team has always provided help on time and prioritized dealing with our company's issues related to the product. I rate the technical support as eight and a half to nine out of ten because there have been times when my company wanted support right away after contacting them. Sometimes, UiPath sends a help guide, but it may not work. There might be a need for a technical person to be on a call so that proper assistance can be provided by looking into the problems directly. The availability of technical staff may be challenging at times since it takes a day or two for our company to get help from UiPath's support team.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have experience with Microsoft, UiPath, and ABBYY.
How was the initial setup?
The product's initial deployment phase is a bit complex. For the deployment, some prerequisites are definitely there, but after the prerequisites also, there are certain hidden things that come to the surface when you start deploying it, like the TLS might not work at times, or there might be a key issue or sometimes some configuration of the system has to be done in order to deploy the tool and sometimes there might be issues with SQL. The aforementioned areas consist of the little challenges that users come across, but otherwise, having the tool on the cloud is easy. The on-premises deployment part can get difficult because it only goes to the client's on-premises environment. The tool's cloud version is easy, as you just log in and you are ready to use it.
The deployment of the tool on an on-premises model can be helpful, especially if everything goes well on the first go. It would not take more than an hour or two to deploy it.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The products are available for free on the cloud, and even it is the same to a certain extent for the on-premises version. The pricing is included as a part of the license of the robot from UiPath.
What other advice do I have?
I think UiPath Orchestrator has lately enhanced the quality and the features of the product. UiPath Orchestrator is very handy when dealing with simple or complex automation. Earlier, the tool's licensing part was very complicated and complex. Now I think when UiPath Orchestrator comes with cloud services, it becomes very useful for attended and unattended automation. Earlier, the tool could be used only for unattended automation.
The tool has been effective in deploying, scheduling, and running automated bots. Mainly, you can have your queue management very effectively done in UiPath Orchestrator. Scheduling is very, very effective in the tool. The bifurcation of work to be done and managed, both happens very asynchronously in the tool.
In terms of the centralized dashboard or asset management of UiPath Orchestrator for operational efficiency, I think that from the centralization of the assets and everything, if customers use multiple processes or automated multiple processes, it centralizes their IT or the operation systems, which is basically the workforce, and so they don't have to run around and have multiple applications to look at or multiple files where they have to update the credentials. I think efficiency has definitely improved with the use of the tool, and whenever there is a reminder to be sent, it automatically sends it to them since that is how it is configured and programmed.
In terms of integration, UiPath Orchestrator interacts with UiPath Assistant and the robot, so you don't have to integrate anything else with it. Everything in the tool is performed by the robot only. Considering the robot's functionalities, I would say that it is governed by UiPath Orchestrator.
I recommend the product to those companies that have multiple projects where multiple products need to be deployed, have a few projects in the pipeline, or have large operations. For small-scale operations, the product is okay to use. For large-scale operations involving multiple bots and multiple projects, I believe UiPath Orchestrator can help run two or three bots, which can be very helpful.
The tool is easy to use.
Considering the product's complex setup process, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.

Offers an excellent scheduling capability that simplifies task automation
Pros and Cons
- "One standout feature I like in UiPath Orchestrator is the scheduling capability."
- "One area for improvement in UiPath Orchestrator is enhancing automation for exceptional cases."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
One standout feature I like in UiPath Orchestrator is the scheduling capability. It simplifies task automation by allowing precise scheduling of processes. Another great advantage is the centralized data collection, which provides a comprehensive view of bot activity across different environments. This centralized logging is crucial for compliance and offers insights into bot performance and error logs.
What needs improvement?
One area for improvement in UiPath Orchestrator is enhancing automation for exceptional cases. Currently, there are scenarios where manual intervention is needed if something unexpected occurs. Having more automation features to handle such situations seamlessly would be beneficial, making the overall infrastructure more efficient and user-friendly.
A few additional functionalities that could make my experience even better would be having the ability to log local keywords and enhance the scheduling function would be great. Additionally, features like bot timers and optimizing password settings within Orchestrator, especially for password changes, would be highly appreciated, simplifying the password management process.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with UiPath Orchestrator for over four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate the stability of the product as an eight out of ten. We have not had any major issues.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, I would rate UiPath Orchestrator at an eight out of ten. The ability to scale up depends on having the correct design, but if done right, it can handle various company sizes—small, medium, or large.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
UiPath Orchestrator compares favorably with solutions like Automation Anywhere's Control Room and Microsoft Power Automate. The reason I find UiPath Orchestrator better is its scalability, comprehensive features, regular addition of new functionalities, and its position as a leader in the RPA space.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup for UiPath Orchestrator has become much simpler with the shift to the cloud. Now, when we purchase a bot, whether attended or unattended, Orchestrator comes along. In the past, installing Orchestrator involved setting up a separate server, configuring a SQL MSSQL database, and ensuring specific requirements were met. However, with the current cloud architecture, these hassles are eliminated, and we only need to log in to the cloud and manage our organization.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I would rate the costliness of the product as a six out of ten.
What other advice do I have?
As a user of UiPath Orchestrator, I have experienced the transition from on-premises to cloud-based Orchestrator. The cloud version eliminates the hassle of maintaining separate servers and databases. Now, I don't need to worry about infrastructure, and it is more convenient. However, ensuring the right ports and URLs are open for security can be a consideration.
Overall, I would rate UiPath Orchestrator as a seven out of ten.

What needs improvement?
The main challenges typically stem from the client's infrastructure rather than the product itself. It often revolves around ensuring prerequisites are met, obtaining necessary authorizations, and ensuring adequate security permissions are in place.
Limiting certain deployment scenarios and enforcing best practices could be beneficial. While this might make initial deployment more complex, it could lead to better scalability in the long run.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with it for six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I would rate its stability capabilities eight out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability varies depending on the version you're using. The on-premise version may not offer high scalability, whereas the cloud version is highly scalable. I would rate it six out of ten. The primary challenge does not lie with the scalability of Orchestrator itself, but rather with the scalability of automation initiatives within the client's organization. The key hurdle is identifying RPA use cases and implementing them across the company.

Has a valuable centralized dashboard management features and a straightforward implementation process
Pros and Cons
- "The centralized dashboard and asset management in UiPath Orchestrator have proven valuable in enhancing operational efficiency."
- "We encounter errors while configuring and integrating the product with other vendors."
What needs improvement?
We encounter errors while configuring and integrating the product with other vendors like Discord.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using UiPath Orchestrator for four years.
How are customer service and support?
The licenses for technical support services are equally distributed. They offer automation user licenses with associated features like document understanding. However, additional components like the action center, UiPath Studio, and the case data license may require a separate purchase.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have used Automation Anywhere before. In comparison, UiPath Orchestrator is better as it is a 360-degree tool. Its user-friendly interface offers many drag-and-drop activities that simplify workflow configuration. It integrates well with JavaScipt.
How was the initial setup?
The implementation is straightforward. Once the contract is established and the workflow is prepared within the studio, the process involves a simple click on the publish option. Simultaneously, the bot gets integrated with office data, where we need to create separate folders or use default folders. It doesn't require configuration and consists of very easy steps.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Larger organizations may benefit from more favorable pricing, as the costs can be distributed across more licenses. The different types of licenses available, such as document understanding and architectural support, may have separate costs and limitations. Additionally, when purchasing a license, it's important to be aware of any restrictions on access to certain components.
What other advice do I have?
The most beneficial features for automation processes in UiPath Orchestrator include improved bot configuration for both attended and unattended processes. Additionally, features such as folder management prove to be valuable, aiding in the efficient organization and maintenance of folders. Notably, features like SolarWinds integration further expand the capabilities of UiPath Orchestrator in managing and optimizing automation workflows.
In our office center, we effectively utilize UiPath Orchestrator to manage and monitor our RPA workflow, which involves maintaining a pool of thirty-eight bots.
It has proven effective in deploying, scheduling, and running automated bots across different environments. While my primary deployment mode has been in Windows, Orchestrator also provides excellent support for Linux environments.
The centralized dashboard and asset management in UiPath Orchestrator have proven valuable in enhancing operational efficiency. When initiating the integration, a comprehensive list of approximately a hundred tools becomes available, and the integration options are user-friendly.
The impact of UiPath Orchestrator on the overall automation strategy has been highly positive, especially in terms of integration. We have successfully integrated with tools such as Salesforce and SAP.
We need to learn a few technical concepts for smooth time scheduling and avoiding bot-related issues.
I rate the product a nine out of ten.
