The scalability feature of OpenText LoadRunner Professional is good, enhancing my testing capabilities.
The dashboard and technical support of OpenText LoadRunner Professional are good currently; if anything is required, I will let you know.
View full review »LoadRunner is a very sophisticated tool, and I can use many languages. For example, I can use Java. I can use C++. I can test the Internet of Things, FTP, mail, and Active Directory. It is very useful.
I have a very good impression of LoadRunner. It is absolutely perfect. It is the best tool for not only performance testing but also for other things. Over the last 18 years, I do not remember any situation when I was not able to do something to solve my problem using LoadRunner. It is absolutely perfect and sophisticated.
View full review »We don't find any features lacking. One of the most beneficial points we have from LoadRunner is we start sizing our infrastructure accordingly. So what we do is when we deploy a new workload, we do performance testing.
We then do exercises to resize our infrastructure. So when architects, developers, and design engineers work together, they make a rough guesstimate of what infrastructure looks like for this scenario.
With LoadRunner, we can size it, so it also provides a cost benefit for us because when we do a theoretical analysis, we might oversize. We might have bigger instances of servers and RAM and CPU.
When we run it, we can do a two-sizing of our end; that helps save some cost. If it's undersized, we can increase the infrastructure aspect based on the load testing results.

First, its compatibility with C and JavaScript, which enhances its integration with other tools. Additionally, when designing a workload model offers a good range of possibilities for creating goal-oriented scenarios, which helps us understand and meet SLAs.
It's called a goal-oriented scenario within the workload model. In the tool, it is referred to as goal-oriented scenarios.
Moreover, LoadRunner adapts to the trends. LoadRunner Cloud has great agent integrations with Git repositories, which makes it very easy. If we have our scripts in a repository, we can directly integrate them without any extra efforts. This meets the market requirement to centralize scripts and integrate them into any automation tool.
All of my needs are being resolved through this product.

In LoadRunner, the web protocol stands out as the strongest feature. It facilitates API testing and web load generation, and parameterization works exceptionally well.
We did not use TruClient for the load generation part. TruClient is a very heavy protocol, so it consumes a lot of memory and resources. Load generation cannot happen with TruClient protocols.
We would inject a few TruClient users with the load just to assess when the load is happening and what a TruClient is. Our use case was very different because we just wanted to know the user browser rendering time.
For us, it's not about how the users would use it for us, the use cases came from the UX designers. They would give us the requirement that if a page renders and you get a confirmation number, that is the last element to be loaded on the page.
The product offers good site performance under peak loads. We were launching these websites for the healthcare industry. Our response time from some of the pages was seven seconds, and these pages are very intense with all the medical equipment on the page. It came down to seven seconds, and then we were aiming to get to three seconds. So every time we would run the test, we would find issues. Sometimes, the page renders with a thousand rows of data, but you can paginate it so that the first page loads. The rest of it actually happens in the background, so it has drastically improved the performance of the pages.
There are not many products out in the market that support multi-protocol.
View full review »I appreciate its ability to handle various internal calls and its user-friendly interface.
Compared to other tools I've used, it saves about 20-30% of time due to its flexibility.
I also use the TrueClient feature for browser-based testing. I found the TrueClient feature to be a bit difficult to use and not very user-friendly for automating scripts. So there's room for improvement in that area.
View full review »The most valuable feature depends on what we're doing at the time. In the past, the greatest feature was the ability to record and play back to produce a script. Another great feature is that we can monitor the system. They also support many protocols for performing load testing.

View full review »It's a good tool. The solution supports a lot of protocols. The interface is good.
View full review »The scripting or programming that you do to run within either the on-premises or cloud environments are the same. They take the same types of programs that allow you to run the performance modeling operations you need to run.
There are various languages that they allow those programs to be written in, whether you want to use Java or something else.

The tool's most valuable features are scripting and automation.
View full review »When you speak about its integration capabilities, especially when we talk about the latest version and not the older version that we had integrated with Dynatrace. So, we are integrating the current version with a tensor database and Grafana dashboards. So we can directly communicate it. The current version also integrates with DataDot, where whatever execution is there, we can collate results in DataDot itself and analyze the server-side metrics with that time duration so that everything is in one single place.
The kind of protocols that the current version supports is good since it's improved when compared to Version 12.55. I am very much happy with the tool and its process. The cost and the support lakhs a lot.
It works on Citrix and desktop applications. There are a lot of protocols that LoadRunner will be able to handle. It is a great tool in that sense since it has a wide range of options.
The autocorrelation feature is quite helpful. With it, we can dynamically handle new sessions or non-new variables.
It is a good and stable tool.

At the moment I like to use the TruClient port, add them and create other versions of TruClient, because TruClient is usually too big to handle heavy loads, so you need to recreate a vamp version for whatever you will need.
What I really like about this solution, is the user-friendly interface and the loading and repair properties.
View full review »The most valuable feature of this solution is VuGen, the Virtual User Generator. The scripting can be done easily.
The Analysis feature makes it easy to analyze cross-data and we can pin to the focus period.

One of the most valuable features of LoadRunner is the correlation feature which is automated now. All year when I started this with a lot of manual processes, it would actually capture dynamic values, but now these new versions have made it very easy for any newcomer to form whatever you want.
Get in other agitation settings which are very detailed and any tester can go through everything they intend to do, customize their execution patterns. The results are very detailed, presenting a very comprehensive summary that anyone can read and understand.

LoadRunner is one of the most versatile performance testing tools. One thing I really like about LoadRunner is its breadth of coverage. The number of protocols that it supports, and especially, for example, when it talks about SAP GUI-based performance testing. I could not think about any other tool other than LoadRunner. I've also seen LoadRunner evolve over a period of time, in the sense that it addresses new technologies. I would say it's still a very strong product and there's a lot of new products out there.
View full review »The ability to do multithreading. That's available in any performance testing tool, but the number of protocols that this particular tool supports has been very good. The support and the stability of those protocols are amazing. That's why I like LoadRunner.
View full review »The capabilities and flexibility of the Controller, the ability to monitor the systems under test, and the comprehensive results Analysis which saves a great deal of time.
View full review »- Auto Correlation: It saves time while designing the performance testing scripts.
- Extended Reporting: It saves time in report designing and also, provides the option to select the quantum of information to represent.
The most valuable features are the ease of using it to create scripts and the broad number of technologies supported, including apps, SAP, and everything on the web.
View full review »We use this tool to test loading charges, test the load and to restrict formats.
View full review »- The custom scripting that it allows me to carry out sections and find my own variables in LoadRunner.
- I can use True Client, which is also an HP product, but LoadRunner gives me more flexibility in writing my own code.
For me as a user, the flexibility in different protocols and things like that which can be tested with the tool.
View full review »LoadRunner gives us real data regarding our performance testing. It's the way that the tool itself works and the way that we can have information coming from the tools.
The availability and the fact that HPE people want to help is something that I appreciate because they are with us, they try to help, they try to understand what we need and they act accordingly.

It is very strong in providing load testing solutions. It provides a lot of protocol support and its reporting utility is very good. Also, the virtual user generation, controllers, and analyses are good.
View full review »The feature we've found most valuable for us is the number of protocols available. We test many different commercially available tools or Java applications that prep to Zero OpenJDK, SAP, etc. But we've found that LoadRunner is the only solution that makes all protocols available in one tool. That's the number one benefit for us apart from its monitoring and analytics.
View full review »It's got a lot of protocols that support all our business requirements, such as Java, HTTP, and Citrix. It gives us one tool that supports all this technology.
View full review »The most valuable feature of LoadRunner is its ability to simulate multiple uses at the same time. That's the most important thing and the primary reason I use it.
View full review »- It allows you to create your own customized code.
- It provides an analysis report after running a test scenario.
- It supports maximum protocols.
- It's user-friendly.
I consider all features valuable (Load Generator, VuGen, Agent Process, Analysis), but Controller is the most valuable for me.
View full review »There are actually some cool features in LoadRunner where we can have multiple users at the same time. Some of the help features in the communities, what HP has are pretty good. We have quick turnaround time for the support as well, sometimes. It is helping our application to performance test and load test. I didn't use much of the tools, and have been using these tools since eight, nine years now, so I'm more into that. I see HP is constantly improving the features of the tool.
View full review »The breadth of protocol support means that you can get LoadRunner (and its sister product Performance Center) to test almost any application with useful built-in functions. The programmable scripts allow for the creation of sophisticated reliable and robust frameworks and scripts. The API potentially allows you to extend the tool to support applications that it cannot support, but how to do this is not well documented or supported.
The analysis capability is simply best of breed as it allows you to take data from any source and correlate it with your results. In other tools, analysis is more problematic and therefore a bit of a black art.
