Securing our network is now easier since we have divided the task between the antivirus and the overall network firewall. This means different people can focus on the different lines of defense, hence enhancing security.

Securing our network is easier since we have divided the task between the antivirus and the overall network firewall
Pros and Cons
- "I can easily manage over 300 computers antivirus from my desk."
- "From time to time, some users loose connection via the Network Agent."
How has it helped my organization?
What is most valuable?
- Network Agent
- Over the network deployment
- Monitoring
- Reporting
- Manipulation
I can easily manage over 300 computers antivirus from my desk. I am able to see detected viruses, run disinfection, and scans remotely. I am able to troubleshoot Kaspersky Antivirus installed on workstations from my desk by uninstalling, starting tasks, communicating with computer users (Network Message), and viewing and deploying to those who are not installed. Updates are also run on a schedule and this saves on bandwidth usage since some updates from the KSC dbase.
What needs improvement?
From time to time, some users loose connection via the Network Agent. This gives us a tough time, since they are in different localities, so we have to run tasks and sometimes manually re-establish the NetAgent connection.
For how long have I used the solution?
Three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
At first, the whole centre concept was new to me, but the documentation really helped as I had a smooth time catching up. I also once lost a KSC server as it crashed and I had to redo all the setup since I had learnt about the backup method. However, the KSC team was and continues to be of great help via their assistance from the company account.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Yes, but it was largely our network settings. Setting up the slave servers is a headache if the network is not well-configured.
How are customer service and support?
The support is very good. A 10 out of 10.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
This is the solution I found when I joined the organization, so it is hard to tell if it was a switch.
How was the initial setup?
Straightforward, since I used the provided manual/documentation guide.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is quite standard, because we use the volume licensing.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Not applicable.
What other advice do I have?
It is very reliable, user-friendly endpoint security software. I recommend it to any administrator.

We mostly use the product as an antivirus solution. With Kaspersky Security Network (KSN), we are protected against most new threats.

We have been using this product for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
For five years, we have not had any stability issues.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
For five years, we have not had any scalability issues.
How are customer service and technical support?
Support is actually quick. They try to find the solution fast and comfort you when a problem arises.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
No, we did not use another solution before.
How was the initial setup?
The setup was simple. After the setup, you also need to configure rules based on your company needs.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing is based per agent. You can get discounts if you have more agents.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluate NOD32, Symantec, and McAfee along with this product.
What other advice do I have?
If they need more than an antivirus solution (like MDM and package deployment), they can still consider the product.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

It's easy to set up and manage
Pros and Cons
- "Setting up Kaspersky is easy, but it requires two or three core members from our team, including admins and managers if necessary. And that is because of the administration that I mentioned."
- "I'd like Kaspersky to be more stable and secure."
What is our primary use case?
It's on-premise. There are three Kaspersky appliances — EPP, EDR, and the sandbox — that all work together. If someone wants to secure their internal endpoints, they can use the EBB and the EDR tools. You can use these to investigate traffic on the endpoint. The sandboxing feature is used to check the files.
What needs improvement?
I'd like Kaspersky to be more stable and secure.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've been providing Kaspersky for many years. Before I joined this company, my company worked for several years with various endpoint protection solutions by Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Carbon Black, and others.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Yeah, yeah. Stable and scalable.
How are customer service and support?
Kaspersky support has cooperated with us. They were very helpful.
How was the initial setup?
Setting up Kaspersky is easy, but it requires two or three core members from our team, including admins and managers if necessary. And that is because of the administration that I mentioned. And we set up an SQL Server to manage Kaspersky. With help from the customer team, it takes only six to seven days to get it working.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Kaspersky requires a license. I don't remember how much it costs exactly, but it's charged per appliance.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Kaspersky Endpoint Security eight out of 10. I recommend it.

Right now, in our organization, about 25 people use it.
How are customer service and technical support?
We've never used technical support before. We've never had to call them. Therefore, I can't speak to how helpful or responsive they are.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
For an antivirus product, I used to use McAfee. However, I had some information stolen from my computer and therefore I had to change products. It didn't protect me very well.

We had a team that handled it internally.

You do have to pay for a license. We pay a yearly licensing fee. I can't speak to the exact cost, however.
