iServer Room for Improvement
iServer should invest in enhancing the capabilities of the embedded drawing tool, draw.io. draw.io is a drawing tool used to draw architectural diagrams, flow diagrams, etc. It is an alternative to Microsoft Visio.
View full review »They haven't introduced new features for the product's on-premise version since 2021, similar to the SaaS version. There could be features for process mining, process simulation, and analytics.
View full review »iServer is a solid tool. Occasionally, we needed to contact the vendor to clarify details such as porting issues, missing components, and model specifics. This process sometimes took some time, but we ultimately received the needed responses.

The platform user interface needs improvement. Regarding the security model, they should provide users with an option for selective access. We could allocate permissions to use only specific components to the users rather than the entire instance.

There can be some performance issues using the solution that should be improved. When you make modifications modify to files there are embedded data within that can take a while to process.
In a future release, it would be helpful to have a web application.
View full review »The modelling needs improvement, specifically forecasting capabilities and scenarios. The existing capabilities have integration with the office, and it's flaky.
I haven't used this solution long enough to know what areas could be improved.

The solution could add reports or add templates.

It's a very simple tool, which makes me concerned with the performance. Performance is an issue for us because it takes a long time to load the document. It's a big issue.
The migration tool needs to be included in the main package, and not as a separate license.

Implementing business processes could be improved.
I would like to see a map of all of the processes drawn automatically. You can do it now but you need to do it manually.

The one issue is that if you want to import predefined work, you need to put the licensing model in. So if you wanted to import work that was done before, you then need to buy a separate product for that. That was a problem.
I would also like them to add data-driven modeling.

It definitely needs help to improve the visual aspect of the solution.
If they could help assist the user towards an architecture roadmap, that would be ideal.

View full review »The ability to add information behind each activity shapes to show which attributes it contains. E.g., frequency, automation, systems, etc.
When presenting the process map to businesses:
- Cannot see which activities are control activities.
- There is no way of displaying a procedure manual for the process map, which would contain the detailed steps of what happens in each activity.
- Naming the business role swimlanes with the actual roles people perform tends to be difficult, because they may have multiple roles or multiple people perform a variety of activities in one swimlane.
- The intermediate event is confusing or difficult to explain to businesses when to use it.
- The use of an organisation pool brings about a different interpretation of what levels do in the organisation.
Customizing features can be enhanced. By giving the user the option to add and modify customized fields for the properties of the objects by enhancing the import capability from other tools, such as Visio, Word, PDF, etc.
Enhancing integration options with ERP or ITSM-related solutions for triggering automated requests for process definitions, changes, and tracking them in the iServer.
