Proofpoint Email Protection Pricing
Proofpoint is considered a very expensive solution compared to others like FortiMail, being double in cost. Customers pay around $90,000 yearly for a 1,000-user organization, with the subscription license being the main expense, apart from implementation fees.

In terms of pricing, it is okay compared to others. I would say it is normal. Additional costs do come in, but it enhances security.

The product is costly. I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price and ten is high price.
When you want to change what capabilities you want in the product, you will see that the tool offers such features in tiers. The product gets expensive if you buy one of the tool's top-tiers.

The product is expensive. Cloud services are pricey. However, compared to an on-premise product, a cloud solution is much better. It reduces costs in the long run. I rate the pricing a five out of ten.
It is expensive.
View full review »The tool's pricing depends on the customer's preference, offering options for an annual license or a monthly subscription. The cost varies based on factors such as the number of users and specific requirements. Overall, the pricing is competitive.
View full review »They are competitively priced, but I have been forced to get quotes for other solutions now because they haven't been responding to requests to do the work that we would like them to do.

The solution uses a licensing model that is reasonable compared to other products. I rate pricing a nine out of ten.
View full review »I'm not sure of the exact cost. My understanding is it is expensive.

View full review »Proofpoint Email Protection is a reasonably priced product, which means that it is neither too low nor too high in terms of price.
I rate the price of Proofpoint Email Protection a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high.
We have a very specific licensing setup for all the vendors we use for our infrastructure. The end customer is buying our solution, which can be for monthly or annual usage depending on our payment and business model. If someone is trying to test the imaging, the shortest period for testing is a free trial of either fourteen days or seven days or a paid period of one month. The customer does not need to worry about any licensing with Proofpoint, as this is included with our solution.
The pricing is reasonable. I'd rate the pricing one out of ten in terms of affordability. It is not expensive at all.
View full review »The solution could be cheaper. The pricing is transparent. There are no extra costs.
View full review »Depending upon your company's revenue, you can make up your mind about whether you want to invest that money or not. However, the offering is niche in the market today compared to other products, like Exchange Online Protections, which is an evolving product. It's growing. In contrast, Proofpoint has been around in the listing for quite some time, so they mature in terms of detection of suspicious emails and its email filtering system. Of course, while the pricing is rather fair, clients would always prefer to pay less.
I cannot speak to the exact price.
The price is fixed. It doesn't change according to companies. It gives you multiple package options, so you can pick what suits you.
You also get other add-on services, which if you've got a subject matter expert within Proofpoint, then you don't have to buy additional personnel from them to coordinate. You wouldn't need a customer success manager or somebody doing a health check for it. That might increase your cost.
Next time, if I get an opportunity to reapply for a license, I might think of removing some of the add-on services, which might reduce the cost or the overall price that we are paying today. I don't know the actual standalone product cost, meaning what would be the product cost alone. It's dealt with by our procurement team, or they can check with Proofpoint to see the product pricing.
View full review »I rate the price of Proofpoint Email Protection a four out of five.
View full review »It is on a yearly basis. Their floor for SMB doesn't matter. The user count is 100 users and below at $2,500 a year.
Its cost is higher than other solutions. It is probably about 20% to 30% higher than what you would get with Microsoft. There are no additional costs. All costs are factored in.
It can be improved pricing-wise so that it is affordable for the SMB market.
View full review »The solution charges per user per month to use it. There are not any additional fees in addition to the standard living fees.
View full review »Proofpoint Email Protection has comparable pricing. The solution has a monthly license. Suppose Proofpoint Email Protection can have 50 users, but you have only 30 current employees; then you only pay for those that are active.
View full review »My clients pay for an annual subscription of Proofpoint Email Protection. Every client always finds it expensive, but I don't know how much they're paying for it. The price for the license could still be cheaper, in general.

The licensing model for Proofpoint Email Protection is simple. It's based on the number of users and, in some cases, the amount of email traffic for the on-premise deployment, but the licensing isn't complicated.
The number of users depends on the customer. For example, it could range from one hundred to twenty thousand in the banking industry. The total price for Proofpoint Email Protection depends on the number of licenses you have.
You don't have to pay additional fees apart from the standard licensing fees.
Price-wise, Proofpoint Email Protection is a five out of ten because it's a pretty expensive solution.
View full review »The licensing cost of Proofpoint Email Protection is a lot higher than other solutions, such as Barracuda.
View full review »There has been a recent pricing increase with Proofpoint Email Protection and we are assessing other companies who provide a similar service for comparison.
View full review »The Basic Email Coverage is pretty close to the same price as the Extended Email Security of other companies.
To start basic at Proofpoint, let's say more expensive than other basic packages.
To jump into the Advanced versions of Proofpoint, the costs multiply four or five times, which made it not feasible for us. Being multiple times more expensive, it very much less attractive.
View full review »The licensing is basically $8/user. We pay yearly, however, they do allow for month-to-month billing.
It's just a straight licensing fee. For support, you'll pay extra for that. If you want to move up to a higher tier, I don't know how much it is, however, I know you pay more to get a higher level of support. Tier One support is way cheaper than Tier Four. You are paying pretty much to have your own project manager. Proofpoint literally assigns someone to you. When you call, it's getting taken care of by his or her team. That's pretty expensive, however, I'm not sure of the cost.
View full review »Proofpoint is fairly expensive. Most people, when they go to buy their M365 licenses, they buy them in a bundle. It's more than just email protection. It's actually lots of different protections.
Proofpoint is a little bit expensive. The pricing could be more competitive.
Mimecast and Barracuda prices are cheaper than Proofpoint. But there are other vendors, like Firefly and others whose prices are not cheap. But they provided me a good price because I was a Symantec customer moving to Proofpoint. I think the price is significant, it's not too expensive but not cheap. Just a little bit expensive. But everything is included.

We sell annual licenses for this solution.
View full review »In general, the pricing is competitive. It is not expensive or inexpensive. Pricing is a bit above average but the solution is a leader in the area.
I rate pricing a six out of ten.
View full review »The pricing is very good. However, the price policy needs improvement. While we find it reasonable, we'd always like it to be a bit less.
I'd rate the affordability two out of five.
View full review »The pricing is reasonable, however, it's expensive. It offers good value. You get good value for your money for it, so it's no problem spending as much as you do.
View full review »The price is reasonable.
View full review »The pricing is relative; it's not a fixed amount, so it's hard to discuss exact numbers.
