OneLogin Valuable Features
The best features I appreciate most about the solution are OneLogin SSO and advanced directory integration. OneLogin SSO integration has almost 6,000 pre-integrated applications, which allows users to access multiple applications with just a single set of credentials. OneLogin provides seamless integration with existing directory services such as LDAP, Active Directory, and cloud directories such as G Suite and Workday.
OneLogin has a role-based access control feature that provides role support, allowing admins to define roles and assign specific permissions to users based on their roles within the organization. I use smart factor authentication to adjust authentication policies in real-time. For multi-factor authentication, OneLogin has many authentication factors. In India, we primarily use one-time passwords, email, SMS, and web authentication for biometric factors. We also use third-party authenticators such as Google Authenticator, Duo Security, RSA SecurID, and YubiKey.
View full review »Some of the best features that I encounter or use in my daily workflow with OneLogin include SSO, a centralized identity store, a user-friendly dashboard, a secure solution with OneLogin certificate, and integration with Active Directory.
Out of those features, I would say all the features are robust and very useful. The integration part is very easy to integrate and deploy, the dashboard is good and user-friendly, and the portal can be accessed from anywhere since we have adopted the cloud-based model. It provides a secure solution with certificate management that can restrict access from unauthorized apps.
The features of OneLogin have also helped us enhance the user experience, maintain centralized control over identity, and achieve complete visibility of access.
OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by enhancing the user experience overall. I have also observed centralized control over identity, easy and complete visibility of access, and the application integration is easy to deploy. The dashboard is very user-friendly, and the technical support is good.
Specifically, we have seen enhanced security with OneLogin, an increase in overall security of fifty percent compared to our previous solution, and time saved since we can access all our apps within OneLogin using one password. We have also experienced seamless integration.
View full review »OneLogin by One Identity has many features available. These include Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, centralized access control, instant onboarding and offboarding, and passwordless convenience. All of these features definitely help.
I rely mostly on Single Sign-On in my day-to-day work with OneLogin by One Identity. It stands out because it removes the biggest daily headache: juggling passwords for every marketing tool. With SSO, I log in once and instantly access Google Ads, HubSpot, Looker, Meta Ads, Slack, and everything else. There are no password resets, no delays, and no asking IT for access. It saves time every single day and keeps my workflow smooth, especially when I'm switching between multiple dashboards and campaigns.
One hidden gem feature in OneLogin by One Identity that often gets overlooked is context-aware or adaptive access control. With this, access isn't just on or off. Instead, OneLogin by One Identity can allow or restrict access depending on conditions, such as your location, IP address, device type, or time of day. For example, if you're logging in from an unknown location or public Wi-Fi, OneLogin by One Identity can automatically require stronger authentication. This adds a subtle but powerful layer of security without complicating day-to-day logins. It's ideal for remote work, travel, or working from shared spaces.
Since implementing OneLogin by One Identity, the biggest positive change I've noticed is how much smoother and faster my workday feels. I no longer juggle multiple passwords or get stuck waiting for access to tools. Logging in once and instantly opening Google Ads, HubSpot, Looker, Slack, and everything else has easily saved me 15 to 20 minutes a day. Another major improvement is clean, consistent permissions. There are no more access denied issues or chasing IT for fixes. When someone joins or leaves the team, their access is handled automatically, which keeps everything secure and organized. Overall, OneLogin by One Identity has reduced small daily frustrations, improved security, and made my workflow far more efficient.
Other impacts of OneLogin by One Identity include fewer IT tickets, faster onboarding, consistent access, higher security, less downtime, and better collaboration.

OneLogin's core value is its SSO capability, which provides a powerful mix of identity and access management for me. Users log in once and get access to all their cloud and on-premises apps via a central portal. This eliminates password fatigue, reduces help desk tickets, and simplifies user workflows across multiple users. OneLogin incorporates risk-based authentication using machine learning. It analyzes context and prompts additional verification only when risk is evaluated. Seamless integration with existing identity sources such as Active Directory, Google Workspace, and others allows admins to centralize identity management.
The single sign-on feature has had the biggest impact on my team, immediately improving productivity and user experience from a day-to-day perspective. Employees no longer need to remember or manage multiple credentials for different applications, which reduced login issues and password reset requests significantly. For the IT team, SSO simplified access management because application access is controlled centrally through OneLogin instead of being handled separately for each system.
While risk-based authentication and identity source integrations are extremely important from a security and automation standpoint, SSO delivered the most visible and immediate value to both end-users and support teams, making it the most impactful feature overall.
OneLogin has positively impacted my organization both from a security and operational standpoint. It helped me standardize authentication across applications by enforcing single sign-on combined with multi-factor authentication. This significantly reduced the risk of weak or reused passwords and improved overall access control. Features such as centralized policies and conditional access also gave me better visibility and control over who can access what. For end-users, the experience is much smoother. Employees can access all required applications from a single portal, which improves productivity and reduces frustration. As a result, I have seen fewer support tickets related to login issues and password resets. Overall, OneLogin has helped me improve security, increase efficiency, and scale my identity management processes as the organization grows.
View full review »Based on my experience from the last one and a half years, the best features I appreciate about OneLogin are the Single Sign-On feature, Multi-Factor Authentication feature, SmartFactor Adaptive Authentication feature, their automated user provisioning and de-provisioning feature, their Advanced Directory Integration, their Mobile Identity and SSO, the Centralized Policy Enforcement, cloud and on-premises app access, and the CIAM for customers.
I use OneLogin SmartFactor Adaptive Authentication to make access both more secure and more seamless. SmartFactor evaluates risk in real-time, factoring in things such as user location, device posture, network, and behavior patterns, providing a frictionless experience with minimal prompts for routine logins from familiar locations and trusted devices, while automatically stepping up authentication for logins from new countries or unusual IPs, asking for strong verifications such as an MFA push or biometric factors. This has significantly reduced unnecessary MFA prompts and helped to cut down the support tickets.
OneLogin delivers a largely seamless and user-friendly experience for signing in and authenticating to applications. Single Sign-On lets users access all their needed apps with one set of credentials, reducing repetitive logins and password fatigue. Combined with adaptive authentication, users typically only see additional verification when the risk level is high, minimizing the interruption without compromising security through a smooth SSO flow, adaptive MFA, consistent interface, and self-service options where applicable.
OneLogin's identity synchronization across directories works reliably, helping me keep user accounts consistent across systems by integrating with sources such as Active Directory, LDAP, and HR platforms, ensuring that user attributes, group membership, and status changes are reflected automatically in connected applications. This is valuable for consistent access state, faster onboarding and offboarding, accurate role group alignment, and reducing security risk.
View full review »The best features OneLogin offers include ease of use for users, connection to Active Directory, and secure login for all applications.
Out of those features, all are great because this tool is very easy to use with a very flexible and intuitive user-friendly interface. This tool has really made it very easy for us to log in using one password for all our applications, which has simplified how we log in, hence saving a lot of time, and it has enhanced security. There is no reset of applications nowadays since we started using OneLogin.
OneLogin has positively impacted my organization since this tool has been very helpful. We have seen more security, simplicity when it comes to log in, and more time to be productive for everyone in my organization since we are not wasting time trying to log into different applications.
I have seen specific outcomes or results, such as a reduction in password reset requests and improved productivity metrics. Since many employees were forgetting their passwords and asking for resets, it would give our tech team a hard time. However, since we started using OneLogin, everything is now simplified to one long password that is easy to remember and keeps our security very safe. We have also saved a lot of time, as we are not logging into each different application. We have been able to save sixty-five to seventy percent of time, and we have also seen enhanced security overall.
View full review »The best features OneLogin offers include integration, seamless integration, security, single sign-on, and encryption. All the features are very important, especially when working with two-factor authentication, which boosts the security layer in my organization. Additionally, the seamless integration with different applications and systems in my organization has been effective, particularly for promoting collaboration.
Since OneLogin is a cloud-based solution, we are able to access it on various devices as long as we are connected to the internet, and this has truly boosted our remote collaboration. Since we started using OneLogin, we have been able to access all our accounts utilizing personal smart devices. It has simplified how we log into different applications through one strong password, enabling us to save considerable time and cost. It has been very convenient for employees working remotely where they can collaborate effectively. OneLogin allows quick access through single sign-on and the ability to send a security pin with one tap. It has also reduced the number of support tickets through the self-service reset password portal.
We have been able to directly integrate it to different directories where we are able to collaborate remotely and work from home conveniently. The experience is very seamless with no technical hiccups or glitches. One simply uses OneLogin to sign in to multiple business applications where we can use different applications throughout the day. OneLogin prevents cybersecurity attacks before they happen, and we are more vigilant.

In my opinion, the best features of OneLogin are mainly utilizing SSO connectors and SAML integrations. From that perspective, it already had pre-built a bunch of connectors that I find useful even for education, which is not always the case. On top of that, we can create our custom ones. As soon as we started involving quite a few open-source systems, we could still ensure the security over OneLogin SSO.
Regarding the connectors, we have our SIS connector, which is our student information system. We have our payroll system connected to it. We have our library system connected to it. We have Google Workspace, Microsoft accounts, pretty much anything. We connected our custom ticketing system, which is open source but customized. The same we did for our knowledge base and our documentation tool, which is also open source. We also use it with our MDM connected for authentication purposes. It's very good on that front.
View full review »The best features of OneLogin are probably the multi-region capabilities because for multinational companies that have offices around the world in different countries with different languages, OneLogin has native capabilities to help integrate all of that. Most of the competitors do not have that much functionality.
Another feature we use a lot and really like about OneLogin is the automations part because the API is really complete. Everything you can do in OneLogin, you can also do through the API. This helps a lot to automate things and any topic. The API in general and some of the automation configurations that OneLogin has are among the things that we use most.
View full review »The best features OneLogin offers in my experience are password vaulting and one-click termination to prevent unauthorized access.
Password vaulting and one-click termination have made it safer for our team, as passwords can be saved in a vault that is secured safely and one-click termination helps us remove dormant accounts, making these features very helpful for us.
OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by increasing security features and making our security wall more robust as well as preventing unauthorized access from dormant accounts, making our system safer than ever before.

The best features of OneLogin include the ability to save passwords so I could have access to them, and it would create complicated passwords for me. This saved me from having to remember a lot of passwords and gave me a safe place to store them. It made logging into whatever system I needed easy, and I could retrieve data quickly while keeping the flow of my process moving.
It simplifies a lot because even though we were an MSP, we had one primary directory that we used, but we also used a secondary directory. Google was used primarily for single sign-ins to our email accounts, but we also had Microsoft sign-ins. Using OneLogin simplified that completely. We did not have to worry about trying to use different passwords or usernames to get into accounts on either directory. We could just sign in and have access to everything.
View full review »The best features OneLogin offers are password management, session management, analytics, and the safeguard on-demand scan. Password management stores and secures user passwords, and session management records all user actions, while analytics helps to detect threats in SaaS management.
I rely on password management the most because it automatically stores users' passwords and credentials, helping to provide smoother logins for the users. OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by giving complete clarity of all environments in a single console. Since I cannot monitor each of the 500 users individually, it gives a complete picture in that console, making it privileged software. Additionally, it helps in compliance and provides remote access with and without VPN, allowing users to log in anywhere, anytime.
View full review »The best feature of OneLogin is that it is easy to integrate. We found that it integrated seamlessly with our Office 365 and Salesforce, making it the best feature.
Beyond integration, we receive monitoring, but I feel that integration is significantly better than other identity tools when compared to Okta and Azure AD.
My impression of OneLogin is that it is smooth when providing a seamless user experience for signing in and authenticating applications. We do not have to use multiple user IDs and passwords, as we have created one set of users, making it very smooth and efficient to manage user privileges.
My impressions of the Identity Synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is that it is seamless and syncs every identity seamlessly.
View full review »The best features OneLogin offers are Single Sign-On, multiple Multi-Factor Authentication, and user provisioning.
Multi-Factor Authentication is generally useful for adding an extra layer of security, which is crucial, especially for the sensitive nature of the data we handle.
OneLogin has had several positive impacts on my organization in several key areas. Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication have been beneficial. Additionally, the user authentication has been improved remarkably. Before OneLogin, our team was burdened with managing multiple credentials, but now it is much more efficient.
Since implementing OneLogin, I have been seeing a significant reduction in login-related support tickets, approximately a 30% decrease.
I do utilize Smart Factor Authentication with OneLogin. I find it to be a really valuable feature for balancing security and usability.
View full review »I use OneLogin's SmartFactor Authentication to adjust authentication flows in real time, and I assess SmartFactor Authentication as very good. It is one of the best tools they created.
SmartFactor Authentication stands out for me because it supports no compromise. Usually, there is either a compromise of user experience for risk or a compromise of risk for user experience. With SmartFactor Authentication, I can balance between them. I can give users an easy and smooth user experience as long as the risk indices are low, but I can implement pretty rigid authentication workflows if the risk gets higher. So it is very good.
My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is that it is very nice. It is very easy to implement and very easy to use. There is nothing bad about it. The synchronization runs smoothly.
My impression of OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is that it is very nice.

It offers Single Sign-On, and OneLogin authentication application works with Single Sign-On and multifactor authentication both activated.
It is very easy to integrate with third-party authentication providers through the Single Sign-On feature. There are a few steps to follow, and OneLogin has shared documentation on the process. You have to visit the application directory, click on a new application, set up its logo and metadata, authentication, encrypted codes, and then the application starts authenticating and Single Sign-On starts working.

The most valuable thing about OneLogin is the user interface. It is very simple and very clear for users to understand, and not only technical persons can work with it. Non-technical persons can also use it because the user interface is very simple and we did not have to write a lot of lines of code while making any configurations. It is one of my favorite SSO tools that I trained on. I have used other SSO tools as well, but OneLogin is one of my favorite tools I trained with.
View full review »The best feature of OneLogin is the mapping feature, which stands out as the most beneficial. The mapping works better in OneLogin, allowing me to sync users from Google Group to OneLogin role, which is crucial for role access for end users and new service requests.
Regarding security purposes, OneLogin's syncing process is sometimes effective, helping with MFA for end users, allowing them to authenticate against the security policy we have set up in the console. OneLogin Protect application aids our end users with valid authentication and authorization processes, which is the best feature.
We have the option to set up MFA for the applications, allowing us to manage end user access, and different types of MFA are already set up. OneLogin provides SmartFactor Authentication, known as OneLogin Protect, allowing users to enable notifications and log in to the portal after entering their password without needing to enter a one-time OTP that resets every thirty minutes, thus enhancing the user experience.
The integration of phishing-resistant device trust impacts our authentication processes positively regarding security questions and passwords integrated with OneLogin.
View full review »OneLogin offers robust security and one-click termination to prevent unauthorized access, which are excellent features for us. OneLogin also meets our IMA and SSO requirements.
The one-click termination feature has helped us remove dormant accounts and dormant access. Whenever someone leaves or has access to the system, we can remove their access easily, which has been very helpful for us.
User identity synchronization has been a good functionality because whenever we have to give access to a user in different areas, this functionality is very helpful for us.
The integration of phishing-resistant device trust has been a very good addition to our system because it has protected us from any kind of phishing attack that can lead to a data breach.
The end-user experience has been quite good; it is fluid and smooth, which contributes to a good end-user experience.

The features I appreciate most about OneLogin involve the multi-factor authentication, which I consider one of the best features because it provides many options for increasing system and tool security. This helps us to see that our data and accounts are protected from threats, hackers, and unauthorized access. The MFA also helps us to add extra layers of security to the account.
The second feature I want to discuss is the integration feature; in this integration, many other features are exported from other tools and built into this single tool, which helps us to reduce manual effort and limit errors that could be caused by manual data exchange. All the information is gathered in a single place, and OneLogin has become a solution for all security purposes as well as the integration of other tools we use.
When we talk about security and usability, SmartFactor Authentication is a valuable tool because it helps in enhancing the tool's security. One of the valuable things I see is that it can detect errors and risks in authentication and provides advanced security for the tool, meaning that it can detect higher-risk logins and prevent unauthorized access. It also identifies non-compliant users and detects unsafe places, including anonymous IP addresses, which may be used by spies or phishers, providing strong security for the system.
OneLogin has positively impacted us in many different ways, particularly in terms of cost, as our costs have been reduced compared to what we have been spending.

The directory integration and SCIM provisioning are probably the best features compared to competitors. These are the two things I have found to be most valuable.
View full review »During my evaluation of various products, one standout feature of OneLogin that impressed me was their mobile app for authentication through push notifications. Unlike traditional methods involving rotating codes, the OneLogin app simplifies the process by sending a push notification asking if the login attempt is legitimate. If confirmed, the login proceeds seamlessly.
The primary benefit is its user-friendly interface, making it particularly accessible for non-technical users.
One aspect I particularly appreciate is their exceptional customer support whenever I've needed assistance. Their sales team has also been highly responsive and helpful in connecting me with necessary resources, although we haven't faced any major challenges.
View full review »OneLogin's ease of use is a game-changer. No need for a dedicated team – a single person can manage everything effortlessly. It streamlines account creation across diverse systems, a godsend for small teams like ours. Back then, we were just two; now, we're four. Setting up accounts for 600 students across seven or eight platforms used to be a slog. But with OneLogin, it's a breeze. Just configure a few connectors and bam, everything hums along smoothly.
Simplicity is the most valuable part of OneLogin. It is easy to use. The documentation is well done and the integration with other applications is simple.

View full review »In my role, the most valuable features are two-factor authentication and self-service password reset. The most helpful feature for the institution as a whole is probably the single sign-on. As an IT director, I care about security and ease of use.
OneLogin provides a single pane of glass for events that happen within our organization on applications that are connected. We can see logins, sign-outs, password changes, two-factor prompts and failures, failed logins, etc. It's a crucial feature. We scraped those logs and sent them to our SIEM and SOC to look for anomalies and vulnerabilities. Having them in a central place in OneLogin streamlines that process for us.
We want to review those logs proactively. In addition to OneLogin's risk analysis, we want to pull it into our SOC and have them take a deeper look. They pull in additional data points to see anomalies in OneLogin, Office 365, and the network. They can piece together some events that we need human eyes on. Having them in one spot makes it easy to get to that point.
We use Webhooks for two items. One is the enrollment grace period. The other one is to capture data in our SIEM for our SOC to review. Those are two development Webhooks that we're leveraging. We still run some custom items on our servers to leverage those Webhooks. One is the enrollment grace period. Webhooks can use the data from OneLogin and manipulate it on-premise. That's invaluable. We could not have done our enrollment process without that Webhook. It wouldn't have been as nice of an onboarding experience for our users. It would've been more troublesome for them.
Webhooks freed up a tremendous amount of time. We looked at it from the perspective of maintaining this long-term. Enrollment in 2FA isn't a one-and-done. We have students coming every day. It's not like we're done once we get everybody enrolled. Our onboarding is never-ending. There was no way we could maintain that on a user-by-user level. It was going to be a manual process. Webhooks allowed us to provide that pleasant experience without needing to manage this in the future.
We didn't initially have SmartFactor when we started the contract, but we saw the value. We don't feel comfortable prompting our users to validate using their two-factor enrolled device each time they log in. We only use SmartFactor when a change in user behavior is detected. For example, maybe they're logging in from a new device or an IP address the system hasn't seen before, which raises their risk score. That's when we prompt for that authentication, for that two-factor authentication.
If you're sitting in your office and logging into the same computer simultaneously from the same IP address, there's no need to keep prompting you for the two-factor authentication throughout the week. We only ask for it when something changes. For example, if you take your computer to a coffee shop, you will get prompted because that's unexpected user behavior that the system hasn't seen.
It's a good compromise between security and usability. We haven't moved to password list technology, but OneLogin has the capability. We still require a user ID and password as the front entry, followed by two-factor authentication as the validation that you are who you say you are.
It has a risk score based on user behavior anomalies, like login location, time, and device, usability and security, and more. There's a good balance. The two-factor authentication offers protection, but we don't want to bombard you with two-factor prompts when you're just trying to do your job. We only want to do it when something has changed about your login behavior.
We use the OneLogin Desktop feature in a limited capacity for some self-service kiosks around the organization for payment stations. Students can make payments using a single sign-on via the desktop. Because the application is doing authentication behind it, we haven't extended the OneLogin Desktop to staff or student desktops. One of the main reasons is there's not a great way within the service portfolio that OneLogin has to use the desktop but pick and choose what applications will do single sign-on.
The solution allows the user to search logs based on a specific time. It is the main feature.
View full review »The most valuable feature is the ease with which we can manage the sign-on feature.
We use the SmartFactor Authentication to adjust authentication workflows in real-time, and we haven't had any major issues with the experience that it provides. Users like the fact that they're not prompted all of the time, however, if they are prompted when there is some kind of concern then it makes them happier from that perspective. Some of our users forget they even have multifactor authentication because they don't necessarily get prompted for it often. That can be a challenge sometimes but overall, it's a good solution.
Using OneLogin has improved our user experience for employees working remotely. It provides a more streamlined approach to securing those features.
View full review »Given that cybersecurity is the client's concern, SmartFactor Authentication has been really handy in checking off some of those boxes.
It's handy that the desktop feature enables users to log in once and have access to all apps and their OneLogin portal. It's useful to have, especially since it’s centralized, since there's MFA protecting it, and since there are various layers of security there. I would say it's impactful. It's something that we needed.
The adoption rate of the solution in our organization is primary. You can't get access to email without going to OneLogin. In that regard, it's a good thing. We need it and we want it. We're essentially enforcing it and everyone has to use it.
The solution provides us with a single pane of glass for access management across our organization. There are some applications outside of it and that's not really OneLogin's fault. They don't offer SSO or SAML.
It's super useful to have a single pane of glass when it comes to access management. It's great to have everything in one place. It's great to have all the logs there in one place. It's easy to see who accesses what. Especially today, there are so many different systems. Keeping everything in one place makes my job easier.
We have not used Smart Hooks to create custom workflows and integrations.
OneLogin work identity helped to free up our time. It seems like the whole onboarding process, offboarding process, and security are easier.
I'm the primary IT guy. We have a third-party consulting firm as well that helps us out, however, anytime I have to onboard or offboard someone, it makes it so much easier.
The solution affected our experience when working remotely. It made COVID pretty much a breeze. We were not impacted at all in any way. We wanted to structure ourselves that way, to begin with. We didn't want to rely on any on-premises technologies in case there were issues. Any of our users can work from anywhere and that's something that we wanted to do from the get-go. We've definitely been able to do that thanks to OneLogin.
The solution helped save money for our organization, either by optimizing time-intensive processes or by increasing productivity.
It’s hard to say, money-wise, however, definitely with time, it’s saved us incalculable amounts of time. Just having a single place to go to onboard or offboard users makes the whole process a whole lot easier. I tend to deploy licenses, at least from Microsoft, automatically from OneLogin for users. I don't have to go into each separate app and create their account there. I don't have to worry about passwords or MFA for any of those services. There are just tremendous amounts of time saved all around.
View full review »The most valuable features are SSO and device trust. These features secure our application access and our device access.
Something I really liked about the product was how easy it was to onboard and offboard people. Onboarding people took maybe 10 to 15 minutes overall. Once we had it connected to everything, once I made the OneLogin ID, it would essentially make user names and passwords for every application that we had.
