We performed a comparison between Nintex Process Platform and Pega BPM based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Business Process Management (BPM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The workflow engine of K2 is its main strength. Its workflow engine is probably one of the best, and that's the reason why Nintex bought K2. It can clearly handle any complex process or scenario. K2 is almost low-code. It is a no-code or low-code solution. You don't have to read a whole lot of code. It is pretty much GUI based. Their support is also excellent. The biggest advantage of K2 is SmartObjects, which allow you to separate the data from the application. It is a standalone application that allows you to build a data source from different places, which a lot of other applications also do. It is called SmartObjects technology, which is pretty powerful. If I have data from different applications, such as JD and ServiceNow, I can just create a SmartObject based on a data source and use it. I have some forms that have six, seven, or eight applications in a single form with data from different places."
"It leverages the out-of-the-box SharePoint back-end. This means that you don’t need to install or deploy additional infrastructure to support Nintex Workflow, unlike some of its competitors."
"Allows us to provide desktop/laptop and mobile solutions to our users."
"Valuable features include workflows (escalation, reminder, LazyApproval, actions, etc.) and ease of use."
"The solution has helped us to automate our business processes, our approval systems, and automation for quickly developing on SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint online."
"It has helped us a lot, especially during the initial phase of a project where most of the things are done on paper."
"I like the feature of getting an email for a workflow error, then I do not have to go through every instance."
"This tool is really helpful in reducing a lot of manual work. Its drag and drop components help to create a workflow faster than SharePoint Workflow Designer."
"While Pega technical support is okay, it also depends on the issues you need help with and who your contact is with Pega."
"Overall, the ability to integrate with multiple applications and effective case management is the most valuable."
"The product helps you to build faster."
"The case management functionality of this solution has been most valuable."
"The solution is operating well overall."
"The most valuable feature of Pega BPM is step-by-step voice guidance that converts your problem statement into different diagrams and then implements the process."
"I have a lot of experience in this kind of industry, and Pega is one of the best solutions in terms of performance, capabilities, and the way we develop."
"The solution provides us with a very good dashboard."
"The solution needs more RPA and AI features."

"There have been some glitches, and the workflow fails frequently."
"User interface could use some improvement. Perhaps integration with Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer would be useful."
"While Nintex Workflow has pretty robust troubleshooting abilities, I think that improving the default logging and notifications would be helpful."
"The unit testing needs to improve, as well as the user interface."
"What should be included is some UI features and maybe some integrations. This includes documentation on how the UI works."
"The cost of licensing could be improved."
"Pega should work on redefining their model and creating a demand for their skills."
"UI needs improvement."
"First-time customers will find its licensing tricky. The technical support team for this solution could be faster in resolving tickets."
"They are currently spending some time on improving the product with respect to machine learning, especially related to robotic automation. They probably could be a little more adept on that area would help."
"Reporting is not so clear and not so great. We really struggle to get the right reporting. When we need reporting based on the content of the tickets, we are not able to get it. The MIS reporting is not great. That's one of the reasons why we are switching to ServiceNow. Its compatibility with the higher versions of Internet Explorer should be improved. It really works well in Mozilla Firefox or any other browser, but when it comes to Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer, sometimes, the layout gets disturbed. The positioning of the buttons changes, and there is some distortion in the layout. I am not sure whether it is our configuration problem or Pega's, but when it is working in Mozilla Firefox, it should also work in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer."
