Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Newgen will structure the system based on all the requirements of the business. We can design the forms as complex forms or make our own versions to fix what's wrong.""They are a good team that is proactive, and they are trying to accommodate all of our requirements.""It is working fine so far. I haven't heard anything bad about it from the applications team that is using it, so I assume that it is doing okay.""The most valuable feature for us is the Omnicon. That made sense for us because our company is now able to capture information from documents.""The most valuable feature is the flexibility in using it.""The UI is easy. It's not very code based, so you can make certain changes on your end.""The most valuable features of Newgen OmniFlow are the user interface, the low-code no-code designer tools, and the integration models are important."

"We primarily use it for storing documents. We host a variety of documents in OpenText Documentum. This includes raw files, analyzed files, and documents in multiple formats.""Two things are excellent in Documentum. One is business process management. The other is its support for metadata.""The most valuable feature is that the documents are kept secure.""OpenText Documentum's composition is good. It is convenient and straight out of the box.""It provides possibilities for us to save documents and supporting the business process while doing so.""The storage of metadata content, workflows, and life cycles are the most valuable features of OpenText Documentum.""The tool's most valuable feature is ACL, which helps to control the user groups that access the documents.""The most valuable feature of OpenText Documentum is the versioning."

Cons
"At the system level, I would like to see things be much more flexible, especially for different document templates and introducing changes.""In terms of stability, like every product it has its issues.""Newgen OmniFlow could improve by having more out-of-the-box integration modules. It would be beneficial to have an analytics model that is not currently present.""There should be some reporting and dashboarding capabilities. I don't see such capabilities built into it. Sometimes, the leadership wants to understand the business cases that we want to automate. We face a lot of challenges to justify why we are using Newgen, and we need a way to present that to the leadership. If there is something out of the box and if we can get meaningful dashboards and reporting capabilities, it would be helpful.""I would like to see more automated analytics built into the solution.""The development teams should be more agile and they need to have more team members.""We had consistent issues of Newgen OmniFlow crashing. It's not compatible with bounce browsers like Chrome."

More Newgen OmniFlow Cons →

"The main issue is the software's performance when storing around 10 million or more documents. It becomes slow and needs improvement. Perhaps it's a cloud-related issue, but it needs to be addressed. It could be due to our S3 bucket or something else. Nevertheless, this is a significant challenge we're facing.""The product needs to improve the way documents are logged together. I believe running it on the cloud or containerization will bring value to it. The tool's Time to Market and deployment cycle need to be improved. Finding suitable training materials for OpenText Documentum is also a bottleneck. If we can find the training modules easily, we can bring together people, give them quick training, and start working on the deployment. It can help with quick outputs.""An area that needs to improve is how to reduce storage space on the AWS site.""OpenText Documentum is moving to the cloud, and I am concerned about the security aspect of it.""The documentation often leaves customers feeling somewhat frustrated, as OpenText seems to expect customers to remind them constantly about the need for better documentation, as they don't provide clear guidance on their documentation practices.""The user interface can be improved.""In BPM could be better. Its GUI needs the ability to build more rules. This is a crucial feature. For example, OpenText has some products that allow you to control your checks, invoices, and so on. They have exciting approaches to converting pictures to text, but the tool for business process management isn't easy to use. The GIU is not so good.""It's difficult to manage and customize Documentum."
