We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The artificial intelligence feature is very good.""The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done.""The solution is stable.""The most valuable feature of Juniper Mist is the Virtual Network Assistant, powered by artificial intelligence.""With Mist, every Wednesday they roll out new features.""Overall, we've been very pleased with the performance.""You can easily monitor, manage, and cover all your IT equipment.""The most useful feature of Juniper Wireless AP is the reporting Marvis."

"I like FortiAP's performance and stability. The reporting is also quite good.""The product's initial setup phase was easy, especially with FortiGate or your FortiManager in place.""If we have FortiClient installed on multiple devices, it is seamless to connect with FortiAP. It supports passwordless authentication as well. That is a great thing about it.""We really don't need to call technical support. Any time we have had to call, they've been great.""The pricing is reasonable for what it offers.""FortiAP's integration using SSID configuration for the input/output makes deploying permission rules easier.""The most valuable aspect of Fortinet FortiAP is the support."

"The product's deployment is straightforward.""I am all about simplicity. With the Insight management solution, I don’t need an additional cloud controller, appliance, network manager, or PC/server to configure and manage my access points. You have to look at cost, and everything has a cost. There is a cost to using Insight. But if the cost is reasonable, I don't want another layer. The ability to deploy a network and then have that software built-in, without having to go to a third-party, is big. Also, the less pieces that I have to call in on, the better. So, when I'm calling NETGEAR, it's not like I'm using some third-party piece of software to manage their product. It doesn't add that layer of complexity, which is key.""From the WiFi aspect, it's very intuitive and easy to use. The solution enables me to manage my entire WiFi from anywhere in the world...""The meshing capabilities are the most valuable feature. When I am going in-between buildings, my phone doesn't have to pick up different WiFi. They are all the same. Even in-between the buildings, I stay connected.""Our company sometimes uses the solution's technical support, and we have seen that they sort out our general problems quickly.""I'm able to do a lot of things, because the GUI is designed very well. I'm able to remotely make certain changes via my phone and apply them right away. It makes life easier when it comes to managing the equipment. The Insight management solution phone app is very good. It enables me to do what I want to do.""[Being] able to configure the WiFi devices and to see utilization remotely, or from the cloud.""I now have the ability to remote access my network. That works extremely well. I can access it from any place. I don't need to be physically at the device. This saves me on time and travel."

Cons
"The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location.""It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network.""The pricing is very high in the Indian market.""Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems.""Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points’ support services need improvement.""I need a bit more time with it before criticizing the features.""Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) could improve if the MIST platform had a built-in master key. This would be an advantage.""The solution is expensive."

More Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points Cons →

"Technical support is a pain. Fortinet has to get its act together. If you don't pay for premium service, you will have issues.""FortiAP could be a little cheaper.""The product fails to offer default access points to deal with the areas revolving around configurations.""The security integration between the network and firewall has room for improvement.""The wireless functionality is not the best.""I would like to have automation capabilities that would help us reduce the configuration steps.""FortiAP is very good in an indoor environment, but we are struggling with the outdoor environment."

More FortiAP Cons →

"The registration is annoying. I have to go back to NETGEAR and log tickets. Access points and router registration are something that they need to address in Insight. They need to fix the bug of getting the devices activated and enrolled in Insight without fighting with them. I have probably done about six of these in the last month. You get to see patterns.""While the data throughput does provide us with full insight into data being used, we find that it's not very accurate.""Ubiquiti is a very good company. NETGEAR should look at that model and expand on its remote capabilities. Ubiquiti seems to have a better product.""Due to certain shortcomings in the solution's stability, I feel that the solution's stability requires improvement.""Software-wise, they need to provide the ability to kick users out. If multiple users are abusing the system or the network, I should be able to block them for a time and, when I need to unblock them, I should be able to do so by using their MAC ID. That feature might already be there and I just don't know about it.""A con is the backend system which is very, very slow.""There is always room for improvement.""The product's UI needs to be simplified and made more straightforward."
