Has an easy-to-handle configuration and deployment phases
Pros and Cons
  • "The product's configuration and deployment phases are easy."
  • "Sometimes, the tool gives a blue screen without any reason, and then I have to restart the system."

What is our primary use case?

I work in a BPO call center, where we only use third-party client tools to make calls. The operating system is just the best. We have nothing much more to do with the operating system, as all the work is done in the tool only.

What is most valuable?

The solution's most valuable feature is the Snip and Sketch tool in Windows 10, which is a screenshot product.

What needs improvement?

Sometimes, the tool gives a blue screen without any reason, and then I have to restart the system. It is an area where improvements are required. If the system is running or when it is getting started a blue screen appears in between. It is not a regular issue.

Connecting to customer care takes too long, making it an area where improvements are required.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for three or four years.

How are customer service and support?

My company contacted the solution's technical support, who claimed that the blue screen appeared because some hardware failure issue might be causing the problem. I rate the technical support a seven out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

How was the initial setup?

The product's configuration and deployment phases are easy.

The time required to deploy the solution depends on the system hardware configuration and it would take a maximum of 20 minutes to complete.

What was our ROI?

The tool is used for some basic requirements, so I don't know how we can say that Windows 10 has helped to save money. It is the basic requirement that any tool offers to its users. If we use some extra firewall or antivirus tools, then we can give the rating, but currently, Windows 10 is used for basic needs.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool is cheaply priced. It is not very cheap, but one can manage its costs easily.

What other advice do I have?

I use Microsoft Defender in Windows 10. When it comes to the security part of Windows 10, sometimes it fails to update. In our company, we are using another antivirus tool that offers total security. On top of Windows 10, I have a third-party antivirus tool.

One time, I tried using Windows 11, but I was not satisfied with it because it was very heavy for my system, and my system slowed down. Performance in Windows 10 is better than Windows 11.

I have not integrated the tool with other products.

There are no AI integration projects with the tool that my company handles.

I am satisfied with the tool. After Windows 7, Windows 8 was very bad. When Windows 10 was launched, it was very good and comparable to Windows 7. The upgraded features in Windows 10 are very good.

I recommend the tool to others.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Easy to use and has good features like control panel, system settings, and backup
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the solution's control panel, system settings, and backup."
  • "Windows 10 has a lot of Microsoft Widgets and preinstalled software we never use."

What is our primary use case?

Windows 10 is mostly used in our production system. We are a TV station with some software depending on an operating system. This software won't be able to start or manage in other operating systems. We were forced to use Windows 10. Since we updated that software, we switched to Windows 11.

Journalists and headquarters are using Windows 11. Some PCs in the international department use Windows 10 because some scripts and certificates still don't work as they should on Windows 11. Little by little, day by day, we are updating our software and switching to Windows 11.

What is most valuable?

I like the solution's control panel, system settings, and backup.

What needs improvement?

Windows 10 has a lot of Microsoft Widgets and preinstalled software we never use.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for more than five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Windows 10 is a very stable solution.

I rate the solution’s stability a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Around 20 users are using Windows 10 in our organization.

I rate the solution’s scalability an eight out of ten.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I also work with Windows 11. The hardware and operating system is easier in Windows 10. It is more fluid and easier to work with Windows 10 than on Windows 11.

How was the initial setup?

The solution’s initial setup is easy. Installing the operating system and setting up everything takes around one hour.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy, I rate the solution’s initial setup an eight out of ten.

What was our ROI?

The solution is very efficient and provides value for money.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution’s pricing is reasonable.

What other advice do I have?

I am satisfied with the updates of Windows 10. I would advise users to choose Windows 11 because updates and support to Windows 10 will end soon.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

User interface familiarity and speedy setup enhance satisfaction

What is our primary use case?

I use Windows 10 for regular office activities.

What is most valuable?

The user interface is something I'm used to and familiar with.

Regarding features, I am not sure what the most helpful or useful aspects of Windows 10 are, or what makes it particularly special.

What needs improvement?

Performance and slowness are areas that could be improved in Windows 10. Sometimes the system experiences slowdowns.

The only issue I face and can remember is related to performance.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for 10 years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

The initial setup was not difficult for me as I only needed to install it.

However, it takes a couple of hours to complete the full installation.

How are customer service and support?

I have not contacted Microsoft support and cannot think of any relevant experiences.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not had the opportunity to work with other operating systems such as Linux.

What other advice do I have?

I am not fully involved in technical work, and I may not be the most qualified person to provide feedback.

Regarding licensing, I am using Windows 10 through my office and am not familiar with the details.

I am not sure about virtual desktop functionality.

The system is not integrated with other tools.

I make use of the Edge browser and Chrome.

Regular updates work fine.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate Windows 10 a 9.

User-friendly, easy to setup and manage domain
Pros and Cons
  • "It's user-friendly, and you can toggle between all your UI and features, which is good."
  • "I would just recommend that they focus more on security."

What is our primary use case?

My use case is related to the corporate office.

What is most valuable?

It is user-friendly, and its features are good. It's user-friendly, and you can toggle between all your UI and features, which is good.

What needs improvement?

There is a little bit room for improvement in UI. I would just recommend that Windows 10 focus more on security. Windows 10 should update patches promptly as they become available for normal security purposes to prevent hacking and other issues.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for more than ten years. I am a Microsoft lover. I've been using it since Windows XP, so it's been quite a few years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability depends on the customer's requirements, like storage needs. It's flexible.

If it's a virtual machine (VM), scalability is good. But for physical devices, it depends on the specific setup.

All of our employees, over 5,000, are using Windows products. The number has been increasing over the past 20 years. All of our users are on Windows systems.

Mostly engineers use Windows. Some use Linux, depending on client requirements. But Windows is used extensively.

How are customer service and support?

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is very easy. It took less than half an hour.

What about the implementation team?

We didn't take anyone's help. I did it myself. I deployed it myself.

The process is quite simple. Since CDs and all the necessary materials are available, you just follow the on-screen instructions. It's not complicated at all.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Windows 10 has a good subscription. But, Microsoft should work on making the OS more affordable to compete with other operating systems like Linux, which is known for its security and is used on many servers. They could also add new features and support more applications.

The licensing is yearly. I think the license is only available on a yearly basis. It would be nice if they offered some one-time license options where you could procure it for a lifetime.

It's not expensive or cheap, but it's in a mediocre range. They could make it a little bit cheaper.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, I would rate the product an eight out of ten. The benefits are more related to software users or people who use Windows in organizations. It's easy to manage domains and configure it. That's a major benefit.

Even if the OS gets corrupted or compromised, users can easily format the system and start over. That can be done very easily.

Has good integration features and a fantastic UI
Pros and Cons
  • "When it comes to the integration features, Windows 10 and Windows 11 are the same."
  • "Sometimes, I receive a blue screen when I open the product, so it is an area that can be improved in the tool."

What needs improvement?

Sometimes, I receive a blue screen when I open the product, so it is an area that can be improved in the tool.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with Windows 10.

How are customer service and support?

I never contacted the solution's technical support, and instead, I use ChatGPT. I can find solutions to my issues with ChatGPT.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I have to face my customers, who normally prefer Windows 11 now, so I upgraded my PC. Windows 11 is more stable overall than Windows 10, and its UI is fantastic.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Microsoft supports free upgrades from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

What other advice do I have?

At some point in time, Windows 10 will reach the end of service, and then it can not be supported by Microsoft. I think everybody has to upgrade the OS to Windows 11 from Windows 10.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 look quite similar. It is quite easy to use the very good secured features in Windows 11. When I used to use Windows 10, it was quite difficult to find the features that I wanted. When it comes to protection, Windows 11 gives many functions or default options, but Windows 10 does not.

When it comes to the integration features, Windows 10 and Windows 11 are the same. Nowadays, many product companies support Windows 11, and then they start to support Windows 10.

Many people, like me, normally use ChatGPT. ChatGPT has two versions, one is for free and the other is a commercial version. The commercial version is excellent, and I am satisfied with it.

If I need some features or functions in Windows 10 or Windows 11, I check with my IT team.

Over Windows 10, I would recommend Windows 11 to others.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

Supports multiple windows, which helps organize tasks
Pros and Cons
  • "The tool supports multiple windows, which helps organize tasks. I find Windows 10 quite stable compared to earlier versions. The Windows Defender is much better for security, though it may not be suitable for company use. Personally, it's okay for me."
  • "I don't face major challenges with Windows 10. My main concern is how the system protects against hackers, especially after recent reports of systems being accessed without user knowledge. For improvements, since Microsoft plans to stop supporting Windows 10 soon, it might be better to focus on Windows 11. However, if I had to suggest improvements for Windows 10, I'd recommend including convenient features like those in Apple products. For example, Apple's easy printer setup without needing to install drivers."

What is our primary use case?

I use Windows 10 as a normal desktop environment.

What is most valuable?

The tool supports multiple windows, which helps organize tasks. I find Windows 10 quite stable compared to earlier versions. The Windows Defender is much better for security, though it may not be suitable for company use. Personally, it's okay for me.

What needs improvement?

I don't face major challenges with Windows 10. My main concern is how the system protects against hackers, especially after recent reports of systems being accessed without user knowledge. However, if I had to suggest improvements for Windows 10, I'd recommend including convenient features like those in Apple products. For example, Apple's easy printer setup without needing to install drivers.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the product for six years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's very easy to scale to more machines. I'd rate the scalability a ten out of ten. My company has 200-300 users.

How was the initial setup?

Setup is very easy for me - I'd rate it a ten out of ten. Even for people who don't know much, it's quite easy. It takes about 10-15 minutes to set up.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price is quite expensive for our currency. A perpetual license costs around 300 dollars.

What other advice do I have?

There was a recent issue regarding vulnerabilities where hackers could access desktops remotely through firmware. This wasn't fully dependent on Microsoft, as it involved browsers like Chrome and Explorer. Once identified, the issue was resolved quickly.

I advise those wanting to use Windows 10 to go for Windows 11 instead.

Overall, I'd rate it a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Though easy to use, app installation should be made easier
Pros and Cons
  • "The solution's most valuable feature is that it is easy to use."
  • "When I try to install and use apps in Windows 10, they don't work properly, making it an area that needs improvement."

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution in my company for work and business purposes.

What is most valuable?

The solution's most valuable feature is that it is easy to use.

What needs improvement?

When I try to install and use apps in Windows 10, they don't work properly, making it an area that needs improvement.

Just like cell phones, Windows 10 even installs some applications, but the ones that are available in the market are not very good, difficult to use, or do not get installed properly.

I have a complaint about Microsoft, which is mostly about Outlook, and not about Windows 10. I have nothing bad to say about Windows 10.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for four to five years. I am a customer of the product.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The tool's stability is very good.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I use the product every day in my company.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used Windows 7 in the past. Compared to Windows 7, I see that Windows 10 has many functionalities that I don't use.

How was the initial setup?

From one to ten, I rate the initial setup phase an eight, where ten means it is an easy process and one means it is difficult.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.

The solution can be deployed in three hours.

What about the implementation team?

I deployed the tool in my company.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I rate the product's price as seven on a scale of one to ten, where ten means it is a very expensive tool. I need around 80 USD for Microsoft Office because I already paid for Windows 10. In general, I don't pay anything for the product.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I don't plan to switch to Windows 11 from Windows 10.

What other advice do I have?

The capacity of the solution is very good.

I did not face any problems when using Windows 10.

I recommend the product to others.

It is a very good product that is easy to use. I don't like that the solution no longer offers me the chance to choose the desktop option. It's a very nice software to use.

I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

  • "The tool's expensive part is an area where improvements are required."

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution in my company as it is the operating system installed on my laptop. The tool is used for regular day-to-day use, like for running apps and some official work.

What needs improvement?

The tool's expensive part is an area where improvements are required.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience working with Windows 10. I have been using it since it was released on the market.

How are customer service and support?

I never had to contact the solution's technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Personally, I use macOS, and I believe it is good for personal use.

How was the initial setup?

The product's initial setup phase was very simple, and I feel anyone can do it.

The solution can be deployed in 45 minutes.

What was our ROI?

Windows 10 is definitely better than Windows 7 in terms of performance, as it is comparatively faster and easier to work with, so all the work gets done quickly.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool's price used to be good earlier, but now it has become expensive. The tool is worth the money, especially since Windows 10 users got auto-upgraded to Windows 11.

What other advice do I have?

After the tool's implementation, I can say that I see that its performance is better since the system does not hang anymore. The UI is also good. Overall, the experience is even better with Windows 11.

Windows 10 was definitely better than Windows 7. Windows 11 is better than Windows 10.

I like the fact that Windows 10 introduced Windows Defender, so I don't have to install antivirus separately. Windows Defender works well.

I have not integrated the tool with other teams.

I recommend Windows 11 over Windows 10.

I rate the tool an eight out of ten.
