LastPass Business Primary Use Case

John Lewis - PeerSpot reviewer

LastPass Business is a great tool overall; currently, mostly our IT department at my company uses it as we always had issues determining where to store secure passwords. Eventually, it is something we may even offer to end-users so they stop writing passwords on sticky notes. This is the main issue that LastPass Business addresses.

We have also enabled stronger multi-factor access to those passwords that we have and created a central place to manage all of the passwords for our corporate technology team. I also love LastPass Business because it addresses weak and repetitively used passwords, enabling us to update them frequently.

My main use case for LastPass Business is that it is a fast and reliable system to keep information secure and still shareable. This has been our primary password management platform. We are constantly testing new platforms for sales management, social media, recruitment, human resources, and business administration among many others. This had become an issue as our employees were creating accounts and forgetting passwords, not sharing them, creating double accounts, or keeping accounts active and unused. LastPass Business became our team sharing platform and we have different levels, such as folders for people to access and use all the tools that are irrelevant to their job.

It has also helped us to secure all the passwords by only generating one strong password where we can access all the tools under one platform that is LastPass Business. This enhances collaboration and productivity in the organization. I ended up getting LastPass Business to manage my personal accounts now. I would highly recommend this tool for every company to try it. It is simple, intuitive, secure, and amazing.

A quick specific example of how my team uses LastPass Business day-to-day is that it allows sharing and security at the same time, which is a must nowadays, and all companies should try and look for a credential management system and keep full control tools as a team. Teams evolve or change and LastPass Business is the real deal. It also allows us to easily and securely create passwords that are being shared across departments. We have established a process when creating a new credential that forces our team members to use the auto-generated password option within LastPass Business, so we avoid any random passwords, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, which are less secure.

LastPass Business is used to store company passwords, including computer logins and website/program logins. Computer logins are stored and shared within the business LastPass admins so that if users are away, others can still access their computers without relying on sticky notes or notebooks with passwords. It provides a secure way to store or create multiple different passwords without having to remember them all, as users only need to remember their master password to unlock everything.

The main use case for LastPass Business includes the ease of adding more users as required, which has been necessary with more support staff coming on board. The process to reallocate licenses as staff has changed has been very straightforward. The ability to add or remove features is simple, making the management of the subscription hassle-free.

Password sharing within the team works when the admin provides access, enabling collaboration and remote work. The password sharing feature allows the team to work and collaborate easily even when located remotely.

My main use case for LastPass Business is the need to share passwords with different members of my team in a secure way. LastPass helps me to do that effectively. It is also great to be able to generate new passwords quickly that are secure and that can be saved in an encrypted database.

I utilize a multitude of websites for images, programs, designing, social media, and much more. There is no way that I want to use the same passwords for each of the hundreds of websites I use each day, and that is where LastPass Business has been a game changer. It is perfect for storing logins, payment information, and for two-factor authentication. I also love the Chrome extension; it makes it extremely easy to log into the accounts with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. The same goes for the app as well. It is very simple to use and uses face unlock to log into my apps. Sharing of passwords has been very easy. Within my team, we can create a group and share the logins, enabling us to collaborate on a document or a project easily.

LastPass Business is a great tool for teams who need to share passwords with each other in a secure manner. It is also great for generating new passwords.

My main use case for LastPass Business is that I log into countless applications and gateways. LastPass Business makes it so much easier to manage what I log into and those that need to be shared with my team members. I was managing the passwords with my browser prior to LastPass Business. After a breach happened, we needed a solution. While it did take some time to get used to, the ability to share logins and manage users was completely worth the learning curve. I could not work without it. At this time, I love it.

A specific example where LastPass Business made my life easier is that we have been able to share our logins and collaborate on different projects, meeting our timelines and budget. We have been able to deliver a lot of projects to our clients. LastPass Business has enabled us to share our passwords securely. We are able to work remotely and have enhanced remote collaboration. The security of our data has immensely increased. Since we had a data breach, we decided to go for LastPass Business, and it has increased our security by a huge margin.

Regarding how my team uses LastPass Business day-to-day, when having to manage multiple users for one login, it is so easy to share without having to provide the password. The plugins are extremely beneficial as well.

LastPass Business is used to store all of our business usernames and passwords, other access information, and important number or text strings. It resolves our requirement to securely store this information. It also allows for very straightforward onboarding and offboarding of staff, tight access control for internal and external staff, and improves the integrity of our passwords.

I use LastPass Business for each of my business accounts. The biggest problem LastPass Business has resolved for me personally has to do with websites that constantly require that my password be changed. Since LastPass Business automatically asks if I want to update my password, this keeps me from having to remember the new password and automatically fills in the correct password the next time I log in to the website. Another reason I value LastPass Business is that different websites have different requirements for passwords, so I cannot just use a standard password as it will not work for all sites. With LastPass Business, I only have to remember my master password, and LastPass Business does the rest for me. This eliminates the need for spreadsheets or emails with all of my passwords that I have to search through. I simply go to the website, click to log in and let LastPass Business fill everything in. This has been invaluable in saving my time.

LastPass Business also works well to restrict access to sensitive information or logins from staff who do not require access.

LastPass Business helps us to keep safe and secure. We also utilize it for authentication to verify identity to access some applications and to securely share credentials across various departments to enhance collaboration.

I utilize LastPass Business across all our business and personal needs as well. It is a great resource for us. It helps us save time and money. We can authorize different people in our business and professional lives to have access to different programs we use. We can quickly give them access to things without giving them complete control. It has saved us time and improved our efficiency as an organization, and I cannot tell you how many hours it has saved by eliminating the need to remember or figure out passwords. It is a truly game-changer.

LastPass Business is the ultimate password manager, which allows us to share account sign-in details with others on our team without disclosing the username and password. As a group of team members using LastPass Business, we are able to share credentials with each other. We are then able to work on certain projects or tasks effectively without worrying about our security, thus promoting remote collaboration or team collaboration.

LastPass Business has increased security throughout my organization, and it is used by multiple employees to store credentials, which has allowed us to increase password requirements and mitigate the risk of brute force password attacks.

We wanted to increase password length considerably, especially for admin capabilities, and by having the ability to autogenerate and store a secure password, we accomplished that through LastPass Business.

I appreciate the ability to autogenerate random secure passwords that are much more secure than passwords users generate themselves, which allows my team to use LastPass Business for storing credentials and improving security. It also allows our organization to stop reusing admin passwords and assign unique passwords to every device and account.

My main use case for LastPass Business is that it allows our employees to securely manage their logins for services we use. It allows our teams to collaborate using shared resources, such as secure notes, document sharing, and access management to logins that groups share credentials for. Over the years, LastPass Business has improved their Chrome extension, making it easier for our employees to use this from their first day. Tools available for administrators have also improved along with documentation for security considerations.

A quick specific example of how my team uses LastPass Business day-to-day is that it's a great tool for onboarding new employees and creating a framework for using services at work securely. Documentation makes it easy for administrators to implement their own internal security policies and understand changes to services that occur when LastPass Business provides feature updates.

Our main use case is a vault for passwords, but as a segue into that, we also are encouraging users to develop more secure passwords. By using this product, they won't have to have simple passwords that they can remember. They can just use the product, have it create secure passwords, and then auto-populate as they go to the various sites that they're normally going to. By doing that, we're going to create a more secure environment here.
