We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I would say the biggest benefit is the single-pane view. There's no jumping around multiple UI's to do your overall management.""The many policies available in Microsoft Intune for managing our devices are valuable.""The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable.""Users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS.""The initial setup is not overly complex or difficult.""We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good.""While Microsoft Intune boasts a wide range of features, its user-friendliness and bundled licensing cost are key considerations for me.""The Microsoft Windows Autopilot and Defender policies are the most valuable features of this solution."

"BMC support is great. They usually can answer any of our questions in a short amount of time and solve our most complex issues.""The best feature of the solution is patch automation.""BMC Bladelogic Automation can be used across many OS platforms, providing us flexibility for deployments.""The most valuable feature is its ability to remediate quickly and efficiently across a number of IT assets at the same time. It takes away manual efforts from the team to go out and fix those vulnerabilities through patching, conflict updates, etc.""BladeLogic lets users view the filesystem with minimal authorization to the server.""Among the most valuable features is its flexibility and ability to work across multiple operating systems. Being able to execute some form of data collection and not have to worry about whether I'm working on a Linux box, or a Windows box, or the underlying OS, I can do these collections, get these results, and put them together in a uniform format which makes it easier to present back to management.""The product's valuable feature is its ability to conduct patching for multiple servers simultaneously.""The most important feature is the schedulings."

"The tool's most valuable feature is life cycle management.""The most valuable feature of Micro Focus Cloud Service is how user friendly the solution is."

More OpenText Cloud Service Automation Pros →

Cons
"It needs incorporation of Knox, ZeroTouch, etc.""We faced issues with macOS support. The product should have better inventory and asset management.""It would be better if they can reduce the cost of the license.""The solution could be improved by the opportunity to connect third-party application databases, such as Chocolatey or another setup store, to Intune.""The reporting and cost have room for improvement.""The solution requires Mac support.""The security features should be improved.""Microsoft Intune lags market leaders, such as Apperian, in its MAM capabilities."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"TrueSight falls short when we are trying to gather large amounts of data from multiple servers. We need to do these tasks manually because there is no option to populate the data and export it to Excel, which is required. For example, let's say I'm trying to find out how many patches are missing on the servers and which ones have been installed. It's hard to automatically pull each server's data in an Excel format.""BMC TrueSight Server Automation's scripting needs improvement.""A better CLI Database cleanup tool would help us with our regular maintenance of BladeLogic Server Automation.""We've had to increase RAM and CPU processing in order to alleviate some of the sluggishness during patching.""There is no other functionality available to patch the containers that we need to include.""The setup of this suite is very complicated. It needs to be simplified.""The number of APIs available within the tool needs improvement. At the moment, we have a couple of different scanning tools used within the organization, but only one of those is integrated back into Server Automation. There is another tool that they use in another part of the business where it doesn't have an out-of-the-box adaptor for it. We would have to go and create or develop something bespoke to be able to integrate it with that scanning tool. Whereas, with the other scanning tool, there was an API available. To make it easier, I would like to have more APIs available for different scanning tools within that line of business.""There is no option to see all the servers we patch and we cannot find what the server status is. Of course, we can what has been completed and what is pending and which servers have failed, but we cannot find server status from the BMC tool. For example, is the RDP up or not. We are using separate scripts for that."

More BMC TrueSight Server Automation Cons →

"OpenText Cloud Service Automation needs to incorporate easier installation. It should improve skills and quality of support.""I would like fewer restrictions as a software tester."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
