Our primary use case is for the firewall and other security-related features.

How has it helped my organization?

I think the Cisco Firepower is the best firewall in the world and the other security features like AMP, IPS, and deep inspection packets.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature would be the IPS is very important in Cisco Firepower because I can configure deep configuration in IPS and tuning.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see the sanctions lifted so we could use the full solution and have the speed increased.

The stability is evident and without issues.

The scalability is excellent. We have around one thousand two hundred users.

There is a very good community with CISCO.

The initial setup is straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

The implementation can take anywhere from one day to a month for advanced tuning and firewall protection.

What was our ROI?

There is definitely a return on investment and is worth the money

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

When it comes to pricing you pay for a permanent licensing structure. One, three, and five-year options. There are no extra costs.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate Cisco NGIPS a ten on a scale of one to ten.

We primarily use the solution as a firewall. It's for company security.

The solution is easy to use.

We have found the product to be quite stable. 

The installation process is not difficult.

The solution would be better if it offered customers more integrations and more signatures.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for around four years. It's been a while. It's useful for anomaly detection, impact inspection, signatures, and stuff like that.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability of the product is very good. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. the performance is good and we consider it reliable. 

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have around 2,000 users in our organization using the solution.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have contacted Cisco technical support in the past. Their support is the best in the market. We are very satisfied with the level of service they provide to their clients. 

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We are using both Cisco and Fortinet.

How was the initial setup?

It's very straightforward and very easy to set yo the solution. It's not overly complex. 

It took us one to two days at a maximum to install everything and to get everything going. 

We have two technicians and three engineers that can handle any deployment or maintenance tasks.

What about the implementation team?

We handled the setup ourselves. We did not require the assistance of any integrators or consultants. It was all done in-house. 

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We have a subscription for the signatures and footprints. 

What other advice do I have?

We are a customer and an end-user.

We always use two older versions than the latest in case the latest has bugs or issues.

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten.

I would recommend this product to other users and companies.

Setting up NGIPS was complex. We needed help from a Cisco specialist.
