The solution can be made more affordable.

We have been using the solution for approximately two years.

The solution is stable. I rate them a ten out of ten.

The solution is scalable. However, based on the price, it can be pretty costly, and organizations tend to limit the availability of that software to its users.

We have not had any experience with customer service and support.

The initial setup is straightforward.

I rate the solution a ten out of ten. The solution is good but can be more affordable. On the other hand, it is a great tool because of the community and can integrate various tools, data and types and software.

Alteryx is mainly used for data workflows and data preparation.

The Alteryx designer has been the most useful feature in the solution.

Alteryx can improve in data science. They have to have more features and components in the data science aspect because they claim to be a data science tool. However, in order to be more competitive, they have to improve on their data science propositions. Thre are other solutions on the market, such as other players in the market, Data2Go or DataIQ, and Alteryx needs to catch up.

I have used Alteryx for approximately three years.

Alteryx is a stable solution.

The scalability of Alteryx is good.

The technical support from Alteryx is good.

I rate the support from Alteryx a four out of five.

The initial setup of Alteryx was straightforward.

The amount of people needed for the implementation depends on the use case. It can vary from one to five data engineers and data scientists, but if it is a very large project, you might need 10 people involved. It all varies on the size of the project and the use cases.

There have been cases where people were building some data pipeline manually or building some reports manually, and they used to take one month. After the implementation of Alteryx, the turnaround time has been reduced to 10 minutes or maybe in some cases, a couple of minutes. If the timeframe or effort is coming down from one month and with multiple persons working to a couple of minutes automated, there is a huge volume of ROI.

My advice to others is before implementing the Alteryx, they need to be very sure about their use case. Based on the use case, they should plan the implementation.

I rate Alteryx seven out of ten.

• Data acquisition, accessing all types of data services no matter the format, vendor or platform, I can connect, read and process the data.

• Data blending and descriptive, creating consolidated data sets, such as joins, unions, summarize, and all basic and advanced data manipulation tasks. 

• Advanced analytics, like predictive and prescriptive analysis, which are very good tools. 
• Preparation

It involves reading multiple data sources, in different formats, reshaping and blending them together to answer business questions. We generate models for predictions and optimization.

Alteryx speeds up the time to obtain business answers/insights on data. It can quickly process huge amounts of data. It allows you to have your business prepare their own data sets, and it can even be used by IT people. The speed of processing is impressive to get something in minutes that would normally take you a couple of days or weeks.

Shortens the time required to start analyzing data and looking for insights, minimizing the tasks that do not add value to the business and maximizing the analysis phase. 

• The codeless concept and speed of processing are unique. Super intuitive to use and easy to master. No coder needed.
• I did not find a data source that I could not connect to yet.
• In/out, preparation, blending, parsing, and transformation tools are the fundamental ones to start analysis.
• Spatial operations and analytics are super powerful for analysis which requires these types of models/operations. 

Even when it already includes some AI models, this area could be improved.

Another area which could be improved is the visualizations. It would be great to create the final users' visualization within Alteryx.

Finally, the UI does not reflects the amazing tool Alteryx is.

Three to five years.

It is absolutely stable. It has not crashed. It takes seconds to process huge amounts of data without too many resources on the machine.

There are no scalability issues. It is enterprise ready, and can multiple your processing power.

It is one of the most complete and great customer service that I experienced with a software company/ecosystem.

The customer support is fast, complete and proficient. The partner ecosystem is extensive, and all have a couple of very advanced resources to provide support.

Finally, Alteryx has an online community (Check it out at http://community.alteryx.com ), with a lot of people willing to help users.

I used several ETL tools, but none had the scope of Alteryx nor the ability to perform the analysis itself.

The initial setup was very straightforward using a wizard.

Next, Next, Next, OK process. Super easy, intuitive, and problem-free.

Both vendor team and in-house. In all cases, it was a straightforward experience. The vendor was very proficient and Alteryx always had our backs.

ROI is huge. There are some secondary benefits, like analysts getting their post 5 PM time back or the ability to shorten all closing processes to a half or less.

Opt for the three year subscription. It is 20% less than the yearly one.

It is $4,000 a year, so it is cheap versus other solutions. It also accomplishes three times the volume on the job in the same time (as the other solutions).

I evaluated Datawatch and QlikView. 

Datawatch: Performance was not great and it was not so straightforward to implement.

Download the trial and test it. You will be amazed. It is the complete package for people who work with data.

Most important criteria when selecting a vendor: 

• Provide a good product.
• Have good support.
• Needs a clear vision of the future with a very solid roadmap.

I'm a reseller, so I have plenty of use cases. I don't have my own use cases. I actually solve problems for other customers. We have a few use cases with Alteryx - one for supply chain and one for finance as a whole. There is a very large amount of use cases for finance.

The feature that I have found most valuable for Alteryx is its geo-referencing feature, it is very good. I use it a lot, especially for supply chain. For finance, we have data landing which we look at a lot. There are models to help improve matching data and more realistic intuition on the data we have.

It is very easy. It is very straightforward. Sometimes you need a bit of help, but it's more like it fixes itself. So if you are used to handling data, it should be very, very easy.

There could be a bit of improvement related to performance. Sometimes it demands a lot of resources for running it, like memory and search. One thing that I would like to see is the ability to get all the versions. Currently we have just the current version and the previous version. Sometimes they have no old workflows. They will run and they are in previous versions but we don't have access to it. It would be helpful to have an opportunity to download, maybe not the first one, but a couple past versions that have been useful.

I have been an Alteryx reseller for four years.

Alteryx is a stable solution.

Alteryx is a scalable solution.

Support is very good. They even go beyond what is expected of the basic support for the product itself. Often we see that they going beyond that and providing solutions for the issues that go beyond the product itself. They try to help customers with the data. So I think it's a really good support and I have had amazing experience with them.

The number of people involved in the initial setup depends on the size of the deployment. It is usually very few compared to other solutions. You don't even need special resources, so anyone can do. Even if it is on a server, anyone that knows it can repair the server, keep it running, and deploy any solutions. I think it's very straightforward, even to deploy larger solutions.

It takes between one and three people to deploy, but they don't need to be technicians,  that's the cool thing.

For anyone considering Alteryx, I would say go for it. Trust that there is a really good set of not just in-company support, but also a lot nice and very decent resellers and partners that can help you do anything you want. Overall, if you are looking for data management, if you need to improve your ability to blend data and to get insights out of data, Alteryx is the way to go.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Alteryx a nine.

Most of my use cases have been around just helping customers out, specifically in the financial sector. Within our company, I've been automating the reports, project reports, and using it mostly for the automation of weekly reports in our company.

The scheduling feature for the automation is excellent. The machine learning suite has been pretty useful in terms of building models. I've been exploring it for a while. The in-database tools are extremely useful as well.

The interfaces are perfect.

The solution is easy to set up.

The stability is quite good. 

We have found that the scalability is good and very easy to handle.

I still haven't had any issues with the Alteryx designer. I don't have anything to speak negatively of now, however, I'm sure there are some features that need improvement.

The technical support could have a little bit of improvement.

They should work to make the solution less expensive. 

The product needs some more tools for the image processing part. That would be pretty good. There's an image processing suite, however, it could use a little bit of improvement as well as the visualization aspect. 

They should maybe add some capabilities for more interactive dashboarding. That would be great.

I've been using Alteryx for a while now. I'm still learning about it. I'm still exploring it, but I've been using it for a while.

I've been using it for a little bit over six months now.

The product has been pretty stable, however, we aren't heavily utilizing the solution. It's hard to pass a fair judgment on our part, as we don't have that many users and the utilization of the server and designer haven't been very heavy so far. That said, for us, it's been extremely stable.

The scalability is extremely easy and very straightforward on Alteryx, especially the server for the controllers. You can easily start adding nodes for workers as well. The scalability is one of the things that get our customers mostly excited about how easy it is to start scaling the server.

In our organization, we have four Alteryx designer users and eight or nine server users.

Technical support is okay and could be better. Sometimes, it takes about two to five days to hear an answer from the technical support team. That said, when they do reply, they're very helpful. The community is very helpful. However, due to the fact that there's such a wide range of issues that could be going on, you could get lost in trying to find a solution on the community.

I have not personally used any different solution. 

The initial setup is extremely straightforward.

It took about 30 minutes for the designer and the server overall to be deployed. It was easy and it's really fast. 

There isn't much maintenance needed. I handle all of the maintenance myself. 

Everything was handled by the company in-house. We didn't need any help from consultants or integrators. 

While we have personally seen ROI so far, I wouldn't be the one to make that judgment as to how much. That's mostly due to the fact that I'm the data engineer. I don't have a look at the numbers. I just automate processes and help customers out. That said, customers are happy with their investment in this product overall. 

Since we're partners, we get licenses. That said, from the feedback I hear, the price is a little bit more on the expensive side.

We do yearly subscriptions. There are machine learning suites that do come at an extra cost as well. 

We are partners with Alteryx.

I'm using version 21, the latest version, which may be either 21.1.4 or 0.3.2.

I would advise potential new users to go through the community to learn. They should go through the learning path for the Alteryx solution for both the designer and the server. It's good to take it slowly. New users should be able to do this within a month or two. The solution is pretty straightforward to learn.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.

I use Alteryx for integration, data integration, and advanced analytics with several companies.

Alteryx integrates well. The most valuable feature for me is integration.

I can read data from a database on the web and import it into my Alteryx database.

It is very easy to use. 

It's quite user-friendly, which I enjoy.

The workflow and pipeline need to improve. For example, if you have a job running, and you need to run another, the scheduling could be easier in Alteryx.

In the next release, I would like to see the completed pipeline, improved workflow with data, easier, and better scheduling to allow tasks to run one after the other.

I have been using Alteryx for one year.

We are using the latest version.

The Alteryx server is running on an EC2 AWS computer, and we have the desktop version installed on our notebooks.

Alteryx is a stable solution. We had no issues with bugs or glitches.

It is easy to scale.

Technical support is very good.

It took us two years to implement Alteryx in our organization.

I would recommend this solution. I like it.

I would rate Alteryx a nine out of ten.

This is a data science solution, more like an ETL tool where you have data that you want to convert or transform. I'm a solutions architect and support the platform. The application is being maintained by a different team. We are customers of Alteryx. 

The solution does a good job with data transformation. We're using it for our business modeling.

This is a proprietary tool and maybe the open source part of it could be improved. If there was an open source edition it would be an advantage; at least the training part of it could be freely available and then people would be more likely to adopt it.

We've been using this solution for a couple of months. 

We haven't had any problems with stability. 

I haven't found any scalability limitations. 

The initial setup was straightforward. 

The choice of product really depends on your needs. I would prefer to use NinePlatform for open sources certainly, but if you're after a proprietary solution because you have different needs, then I think Alteryx is a really good solution if you are looking for a scale. It all differs from case to case depending on requirements.

It's about the feasibility of the product for your specific use case, so I rate this solution a six out of ten. 

I have multiple clients that are using this solution and the use cases can be very specific to the domain they are coming from. 

I am an Alteryx designer and I have been trying to fine-tune the operations. Most recently I have been getting more involved with predictive analytics. I am transitioning from the ETL to an advanced analytics platform and then doing the seamless integration with the BI tools. These are the areas I have been exploring and currently, I am only working on use cases that are very specific to this area.

The solution could improve in the visualization. There is a reporting palette available, but I do not think organizations would rely just on that one pallet. We need a BI tool for larger implementation reporting. The visualization cannot just be the basic visualization but immediate reporting.

When comparing this solutions' BI tool to major competitors, such as Tableau and Power BI, the competitors both massively use visualization and dashboarding whereas this solution does not. However, this solution is much further ahead in other areas, for example, deployment. When it comes to just the visualization it not fair to compare these solutions.

I have been using the solution within the last 12 months.

The solution has been stable.

What I know of the solution it can scale very well.

I have not used support very much in the past. However, during the one or two cases when we had to use the support, we received a solution from them promptly.

The installation is fairly simple and straightforward. We had no issues with the implementation.

Previously I have used consultants for the implementation but I can now do it myself.

There is a license required for this solution.

I have previously evaluated Tableau and Power BI.

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.
