Ruckus Wireless WAN Valuable Features

The main feature is that it is an outdoor AP with ADAB (Adaptive Antenna Beamforming). So, that is quite robust. We are using the T310 series.

It's quite impressive, and there are several aspects I like about it. Ruckus offers robust products with excellent speed. In our setup, we use the Ruckus controller model 144, which operates on a five-by-five basis. One of the standout features is the ease of installation and commissioning, making the whole process very straightforward.

We use things like VLAN and all the multibeam features that are built in, but at the end of the day, the most important thing for us is to get a good signal and site-wide coverage. We probably don't use a great deal of the features that are offered.

The best feature of Ruckus Wireless WAN apart from its seamless roaming feature where you roam beautifully on the network is its analytics tool that gives you so much insight into your deployment, so it has become more of a business intelligence type of tool as well.

I also like that Ruckus Networks, in terms of WiFi security issues on the WiFi protocols, is also the first company to give you notices of security issues, and also the first to provide patches for those issues. Ruckus Wireless WAN is very proactive and much, much faster than Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki.

One of its notable advantages lies in the superior performance of its antennas and radios. The platform appears to be more straightforward to configure compared to Aruba, offering greater user-friendliness, especially in terms of the graphical user interface. This makes it particularly accessible for non-technical individuals who simply want administrators to oversee and manage the Ruckus controller engineering aspects.

Scalability is a valuable feature. For example, if you have a person from the HR department on the tenth floor and another person on the first floor, they should have access to the same VM or network. The Ruckus Wireless controller allows you to control this regardless of where the APs are physically located. You can control it from a central point, which makes it easier to manage.

The strongest point for Ruckus has always been the radio hardware. They have specific hardware to handle the wireless connections, so on the hardware level, the connectivity works very well.

Over the years, they have added more and more features to the SmartZone system. At the beginning it was fairly basic, but nowadays we can pretty much do everything that we can do with Extreme or other vendors.

The most valuable aspect of the solution is the size of the outdoor access points. It's great and you can disguise them quite well.

The solution is quite simple to use.

The virtual controller is doing a fine job.

For outdoor usage, I prefer Ruckus. It's the best of all the solutions.

There are numerous features, but what I like about Ruckus is that they have a good coverage range due to their BeamFlex technique. When it comes to technology, we have a wide range of coverage in WiFi coverage scenarios. Based on that, we determine how many access points to allow in comparison to others. The BeamFLex+ is amazing.

The demonstration and configuration of the GUI, are very easy. I don't have to be an expert on it. In terms of deployment, the GUI is very simple and user-friendly.

There are numerous other features, but this is one of the most impressive.

We rate them very high. We found it a very robust solution.

I like the smart roaming feature. It is very valuable for us. Nowadays, people use video conferencing on phones and for Zoom meetings, so, while walking on campus or in a hotel, people experience no disconnection while using Ruckus Wireless. It literally helps us give a better experience to the end user.

The initial setup isn't complex.

It's stable.

The solution can scale.

The solution offers good security.

The pricing is fair. It's competitive.

We found the technical support to be helpful.

We’ve had a wonderful experience so far.

It usually operates on mass technology, which is good. It has a controller, and you can control overall the map work or the equipment performance through that controller very efficiently. It has quite good bandwidth availability to accommodate many concurrent users.

It’s a stable solution. It’s reliable.

The solution is scalable.

The best feature is its ability to act as an outdoor local access point. We can deploy it on a tower or building, supplying local network connectivity. It is not restricted to an indoor environment, as is the case with some vendors.

The connectivity, speed, and reliability are very good.
