ReadyAPI Test Valuable Features
ReadyAPI has the power to enrich all the technical work. You can achieve any complex task using ReadyAPI. I can also do UI automation with ReadyAPI. In a few test cases, we want to check the API and the equivalent UI. I download a job and write a piece of Groovy or Java code. It's almost the same in ReadyAPI. I can do that in a single test case. ReadyAPI is a powerful tool because you can do anything you want, but only you need to download the right set of jobs and produce the right set of code.

The out-of-the-box support for the database is a valuable feature. For example, SoapUI open-source does not have any out-of-the-box support for doing database validations. However, the commercial version of SoapUI Pro has out-of-the-box support for the database.
Along with that, creating an export or import is very much easier in SoapUI Pro compared to that with the open-source version.
SoapUI Pro is an easy option for non-technical staff as well. I'm currently leading a team in a front project, and I've seen that even a non-technical person with pre-guidance can easily pick up the automation. It is very easy for any person to pick up the automation, and that is something that I like about the tool.

One good feature is SoapUI's URL check, which allows you to check among the applications. I'm not just talking about the ones for Android. It has all kinds of multi-world tests that are really helpful.

SoapUI has a lot of features I like, such as the different data generators and data sources. The looping part of it is also good.
View full review »The solution has some good scanning features. It scans API descriptions to generate functional steps and then runs functional tests. It then gives the opportunity to add some assertions and then finally to integrate them into a grid pipeline, like on Jenkins, and generate G-units or generate reports that are in G-units or J-units format.
We chose this tool because it's lightweight, simple and intuitive. It's open software, it has a command-line interface that is very important for integrating later in the bid process and to get decent reporting. It's a good tool.

We like that we can do all manual testing for the API.
We can test as many APIs as we like.
It's very reliable and very easy to understand. Anyone can learn it very quickly.
The solution does not have major complications, it's a very simple tool. We can run projects in testing environments, and in production with the production data.
You can do end-to-end testing. You can also do security testing. You can create API projects. It's great in terms of usability.
The license for SoapUI is far better than Postman if you compare the two.
The initial setup is very easy.
The solution scales well.

The tool’s scalability is very good. It's easy to incorporate functional automation cases. The product is easy to access. A new user would not need to go through much documentation to use the tool. The manual features are easy.

It clearly makes it easy to test APIs based on the SOAP protocol. We are a logistics company, and we have lots of tracking calls coming in. We provide APIs for tracking services, and it makes sense for us to use SoapUI to test them thoroughly.

I use the tool for mocking, load testing, and developing. I use SoapUI Pro when the downstream is not available and we have to mock the downstream and continue our testing. I also use it to measure our application performance, etc.
View full review »There are many aspects of SoapUI NG Pro that have proved useful at all levels in our organization. From the automatic generation of example requests, to the Form view capabilities that allow for easy manipulation of a request for more basic testing. While the Testsuite capabilities of data driven testing, data generation, use of data sources/sinks, the various assertions that are easily setup automatic validation of your web services and finally the ability to link web services together to mimic your system test scenarios have really helped to improve our test quality and coverage while achieving that all important 'shift testing left'.
With all of the capabilities the most valuable aspect of SoapUI NG Pro is that it is extremely flexible, you can add any amount of customization which can include the use of the substantial API that is available. With this flexibiltiy you can use this tool not only to test the functionality of the web service, or how that web service is implemented in your system but also to use the automated capabilities of this tool to test out the functionality of aspects of your systems such as calculation engines, letter generation, etc (this is specific to your system but can play a large part in your test strategy if considered) .

I found the REST Discovery and Groovy scripting features to be most valuable. Additionally, the Simple programming model enables a wide audience (in contrast to Java or JavaScript). The XML format makes it easy for scripts to analyze the test base (metrics, bulk simple changes).

The most valuable features are that it is user-friendly, it's easy to use and easy to teach to others. Also, it has direct access support, which doesn't have any competition.
View full review »In my personal experience, Soap UI NG Pro added a lot of value to our product. We have been able to automatize a lot of manual work in a really easy way.
I was given the task to search for a tool to implement the automation for the first time in the project, so, I've been testing many tools. However, the main features that convinced the client in the demo to choose Soap UI NG Pro was the possibility to run in such a fast way too many test cases simultaneously, SQL injection, and being able to save the tests as a WAR file.

The most valuable features are:
- Test validation on API responses.
- Mock services to test parts of the application.
Mock services are valuable as we can start testing the interaction of an application with another application without having the other application fully available. It might be the second application is not live yet. We substitute the second application with a mock service (a type of a stub).

I primarily use Soap UI to test XML/JSON requests and responses for APIs hosted by us and our vendors. Also, SoapUI is easy to use since all my requests are saved in a single location so I can export and share them with my team.
