We have always received positive feedback from our team. The password rotation feature of this product is appreciated by all users, and they like this because they have saved time using this product, since they were previously wasting time on password management and manual interventions.

The best feature One Identity Safeguard offers is that it is a pretty new, modern tool that makes extensive use of its API. In general, it's easier than other tools to just perform maintenance work or perform work using the API of One Identity Safeguard. Also, the way that the access requests are structured—with entitlements and access request policies—makes it easier to govern data and identities. CyberArk, which is essentially the industry standard right now, is doing a very primitive job of helping the administrator with the task, and One Identity Safeguard is a lot better at this. These features help my team day-to-day by making onboarding new users easier, and they also make it easier to create existing teams that are complete with their own password management, their own password profiles and rotations, password requirements, and who gets access to what, so it all makes it easier and faster.

At the start, people thought One Identity Safeguard was hard to use. However, over time when they got used to it, they saw the benefit and the ease of use improved. We still have some people that are a bit harder to get to use it. For the end user, there is really no issue in using One Identity Safeguard. They are told how to use it and usually figure it out for themselves. For the administrators, it takes a bit longer because there are quite a lot of options and things you can do. We currently have two in training, and they have been working with us for quite some time and still are not fully comfortable working with this PAM solution.

I think One Identity Safeguard could be improved by making the UI more user-friendly and simplifying some configurations, as it can feel a bit complex at times. Reporting with One Identity Safeguard could be more detailed and easier to customize, and better integration with other tools would make the overall experience smoother.

The training required for One Identity Safeguard was quite manageable and varied by role. For end-users and privileged users, training was minimal, and basic guidance was enough for them to understand how to request access and start sessions since the interface is fairly straightforward for daily use.

If I had to point out something that could be improved or is sometimes seen as missing, it would be user experience or UI. Some users feel it could be more intuitive, especially for non-technical users.

Feedback from our team on One Identity Safeguard has generally been positive, especially regarding its strong security features, reliable session monitoring, and the convenience of not having to handle or remember privileged passwords, which has improved both confidence and compliance in daily operations. However, some users have mentioned that the interface can feel a bit complex initially and takes time to get used to. There have been occasional comments about performance being slightly slow when searching session recordings, but overall, the usability is considered good once familiar, and the functionality is highly valued for maintaining secure and controlled access across the organization.

The best features One Identity Safeguard offers include session monitoring, secure remote access, a security-focused approach, and privileged access control, which stand out to me the most. Session monitoring and strong security features allow real-time control where the manager can watch live sessions and review recordings, providing a strong layer of security. The interface is friendly, and there is strong protection that builds trust, knowing that the manager has confidence in the system. One Identity Safeguard provides very clear and detailed records of privileged access and user activities, making compliance with requirements easier, and the reports are customizable as I usually work upon them.

On user experience, one challenge is that different user groups experience the system differently. For security teams, the depth of control is good, but for operational teams like system admins or support engineers, the workflow sometimes feels a bit layered, especially under time pressure. The reason it is not a perfect ten is mainly because of usability and operational friction in some scenarios. In real production environments, especially during urgent troubleshooting, the workflow can feel a bit heavy, and integrations with newer cloud-native ecosystems can require extra effort.

Overall, the feedback from our users regarding One Identity Safeguard's usability and functionality has been positive. Administrators appreciate that they no longer need to know or share privileged passwords, and the approval workflow is straightforward once they become familiar with it. The session recording and audit features are also well-received because they make troubleshooting and compliance review much easier. The main feedback has been that the interface has a learning curve for new users, and the initial setup and policy configuration can be a bit complex. However, after onboarding, most users find the platform reliable and easy to use for their day-to-day privileged access tasks.
