Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution transparently integrates into the infrastructure and users do not notice it. I would give this feature the highest rating.""I like the discovery functionality and the change password feature through the check-in. I also like the bulk import with the help of templates that come with it out of the box. With the help of these few features, my tasks are made easier.""Being able to use a proxy server is an advantage.""It's a good solution for managing identities under OneFile for authorization.""The customer service and technical support are very good.""It is generally easy-to-use and install.""The monitoring system is very good.""One of the most important things is that it is very easy to use and install. It is also agentless, so all of the operations happen more smoothly than any other product."

"The solution has a smooth and configurable user interface for single sign-on capabilities.""We use the product to run different reports.""It provides ease of connecting all our devices.""It's pretty stable as a product.""The soundness of the solution is its most valuable feature. For example, if you are in our corporate network, you can log on without any traffic interfering.""It gets a mobility portal in place in conjunction with Office 365. It provides very good possibilities and it's much better than other technology that we have used before which was unstable and slower.""What I like best about PingID is that it's very user-friendly. PingID is well-built as a developer tool and regularly upgrades and updates via patches. I also like that PingID has clear documents that will help you integrate it with other solutions.""The only feature we were looking for in PingID was SSO integration with our existing web app."

More PingID Pros →

"It offers a single source of truth. Everything can be handled from one tier.""The most valuable feature for our customers and for us is the identity data warehouse.""The solution is one of the main security products you need to control access and have visibility into what's happening in your organization. It helps with managing access to applications, ensuring governance, and obtaining certifications.""We like the integration with other systems.""The solution is very good at the management of the identity lifecycle.""It significantly reduces the workload for certification processes.""Provisioning in multiple environments.""This solution has improved our organization through its ease of application onboarding, approvals, provisioning, and lifecycle UI performance."

Cons
"We would like to have the option of importing assets by using the CSV file. It was available in the earlier versions, but it is not available now.""Some of our users find the functionality a bit complex, and it could be made more user-friendly.""We currently have a problem with the Active Directory integrations on Windows. Some of our users need to be logged with Active Directory, but we are having communication issues between One Identity and Active Directory. It seems that Active Directory is not well-integrated.""It needs more marketing.""The main thing that needs improvement is the slowness. Apart from that, the change password check-in feature also needs improvement because it is not working perfectly accurately.""We have issues using Safeguard to connect to and record from the cloud. Currently, they don't have a mechanism to record this type of connection.""Some of the out-of-the-box reporting isn't that rich. We spoke to our Safeguard reps who have acknowledged that some of the reporting features can certainly be improved and that we're not the only customer who has cited this. There are very little out-of-the-box reporting capabilities. You have to build the queries and the report. I believe in the next release they're going to be addressing this.""The multilanguage functionality does not support the Arabic language, even though this solution is deployed in an Arabic region."

More One Identity Safeguard Cons →

"The timing of the token validity, if it could be extended, would be great. I'm not sure if there is even an option to configure these types of settings.""The product is not customizable.""PingID would benefit from a better user interface for integration.""If the solution is going to compete with Microsoft, they need to offer more unique functionality to keep their current user base.""It has a long way to go until it is a cloud-based solution.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer.""PingID's device management portal should be more easily accessible via a link. They provide no link to the portal like they do for the service. The passwordless functionality could be more comprehensive. You can't filter based on hardware devices. Having that filtering option would be great. Device authentication would be a great feature.""I think that the connection with like Microsoft Word, especially for Office 365, is a weak point that could be improved."

More PingID Cons →

"SailPoint IdentityIQ has a primitive AI engine.""The UI needs to be more user friendly. More concentration on historical policy violations would be great. In terms of new features, I would like to see artificial intelligence and machine language added.""Needs to focus on automation wherein provisioning of work can be improved and access certification should be automated without the intervention from a manager for approval.""There are various functions that don't work in IdentityIQ, including the access request reminder, which doesn't go to the approvals in the proper format, so it's hard for users to read.""The advanced provisioning features require more improvement.""The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve.""The solution's technical support team's response time and skills need improvement since it is an area where there are shortcomings.""It allowed to implement the automated processes when a new employee is hired. It allows to have a main central process for new hires."

  • "The full license is expensive but if you plan to use it in a big organization then it is the best option because it is more flexible."
  • "It is a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. You don't want to get anything too cheap because then you get cheap stuff and cheap support. That really never helps anybody."
  • "The pricing is about $80,000 per 100 servers. There are few elective costs."
  • "We have a yearly license. The cost depends on how much a company wants to invest in technology. In our organization, we believe in modern digitization and automation processes so we found it affordable. One Identity was not that much less than other solutions and it is not a cheap solution. There were number of cheaper solutions. However, it's the most effective, according to our evaluation."
