"Power packs.""When it comes to features, the power pack is the most valuable.""I'm satisfied with ScienceLogicfor for what they can offer today because they can offer both serverless connectivity and agent connectivity.""Dynamic Component Mapping is key and unique.""Best feature of all is detailed monitoring of services, processes, ports and SSL certificates and or web content.""The power flow is great.""It has good monitoring capabilities across cloud environments, data centers, and hybrid environments.""The flexibility to support most technologies. The way ScienceLogic gathers data from multiple sources is vital to our customers. As we work with new customers (often with different technology requirements), ScienceLogic is flexible enough to support our clients’ varying network needs."

More ScienceLogic Pros →

"There is a problems page that shows us every warning or problem that occurs on our VMs globally. The map screen is also really useful because this is something that was missing. I don't know every other tool in the market. So, I don't know if this is a good point of only Zabbix, or other tools are also doing it, but from my point of view, this is the most useful page that I use, along with the problems page that efficiently lists the problem, recovery time, ending hours, starting hours, and so on.""Zabbix is both stable and scalable.""Zabbix is an excellent performance monitoring tool.""It has improved our server performance monitoring overall. We know right away when there are problems. It has built-in statistics, so we can go back and see if there's spiking. We can check what's happening every day around the same time and check the configuration to see if there's something that's running and needs to be fixed.""I'm supervising all the IT departments, and Zabbix seems quite good for them. It provides graphics and information in real time. We get alerts about crashes on the system, enabling us to quickly repair issues. We can easily find devices with problems.""The performance and bandwidth are valuable features.""Dashboard and the customization of the items and triggers are the most valuable features.""Zabbix helps to save time."

Cons
"The quality of service and support for this solution needs to be improved.""I think that support integration could be improved.""Our customers would like to see the price lowered.""The product should increase the processing capacity and allow speedy deployment, as both of them are areas with certain shortcomings where improvements are required.""If the solution could provide better integration to make it easier to manage everything on different servers, that would be helpful. Whatever servers a company has, be it IBM, Dell, etc., if the System Management could be a platform that links all of them together, it would make management across different server types easier.""The return on investment report is too difficult to understand."

More HPE System Management Cons →

"The product is not user-friendly.""There are often bugs in new releases.""Addressing duplicate IPs: There is the ability to edit the DB and fix this, but adding some logic to understand them would be a plus.""They should improve database issues in HA and Failover mode, and provide documentation for all users , even if they are not customers.""It was challenging onboarding users.""They should add CLI command modes and scripts for high performance.""The product's reporting functionalities have certain shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required.""From a performance perspective, it needs to improve a lot."

More ScienceLogic Cons →

"There are not too much documentation or manuals. We found the tutorials very easy to understand but do not go deep enough in the use of Zabbix. We need more manuals, proper use, documentation, etc.""When we have a problem, we have to do a lot of research to solve it.""There are a lot of areas for improvement, specifically in the dashboards and reports functionalities.""To improve Zabbix, adding more features to support the monitoring of modern workloads like containers would be beneficial.""The user web interface is a little bit too basic, we need to link Zabbix to Grafana to have more options, such as graphs and charts. The interface needs to be improved. Additionally, there could be better integration with Grafana API.""The user interface could be a bit better. They could update it a bit.""Zabbix can use better documentation and support for troubleshooting.""In terms of user-friendliness, large maps could be more interactive. We should be able to click on some areas and move some objects. It would make it simpler to see things while analyzing some dedicated parameters."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
