We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The company dashboard is useful because we could share it via a link as a reminder for everyone to check it weekly. We observed the progress of our portfolio from last week to the current week, allowing us to compare revenues.""Data Studio integrates seamlessly with other Google products, and we can use it with other APIs if we like.""This has improved our organization by allowing people to see their data and develop visualizations themselves.""I am impressed with the tool's scheduling mechanism, refresh mechanism, and different types of charts.""I find it favorable regarding speed of development, ease of building, and flexibility.""The solution is free so that is a good feature.""Valuable features include advanced integrated analysis and easy implementation.""The ability to design complex data models and equations."

"The solution is user-friendly.""It is a stable and scalable solution.""It is easy to create a report quickly. It does not take much time to create an ad hoc report.""The most valuable features of the solution are the various scenarios the product offers and its stability.""The setup isn't too difficult.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is its ease of use.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE, for me, would be the Web Catalog. From a development perspective, I do not need any client or any software to be installed on my laptop or desktop. Everything is browser-based, so I just open the browser and start development.""It can be used with any type of data models, such as relational lines and dimensional lines."

More Oracle OBIEE Pros →

"I like the way I can share dashboards and embed dashboards. I normally use embedding. So, I create a dashboard, and I embed it into specific websites. Sharing of the dashboard is seamless, and it is easier than any other visualization platform, even Tableau.""Scheduling of reports and dashboards is the most valuable feature of Zoho Analytics.""Ask Zia is a great feature that I use to quickly decide what improvements I need to make in order to present the data that I want to show.""Zoho Analytics's most valuable feature is the ability to provide excellent analytics through a single platform.""The data source is the most valuable feature as it can perform any function.""We use the solution for financial and sales analytics. It brings data from our IT incident management tool. Hence, we have three business use cases for IT support, sales and financials.""The front end of this solution including the graph generation using SQL has been most useful.""The initial setup is straightforward."

Cons
"Stability and scalability an be improved for a full ten.""There is a significant degree of sophistication required to compete with Tableau or Cognos.""When you physically install a product on one machine instead of the cloud, you have a better visibility, best icon quality, etc.. It's more of an issue with how we are adapting to the transition. We are still in the early moments of using this tool, and we need to go deeper to discover some improvements.""The tool should come up with data modeling layer features that are present in other products like Power BI.""Panels are not as easy to use as other data extraction UIs.""Insisting on forums, blogs and community outreach in communications, and posting videos on an established calendar would be useful.""It's not yet a replacement for a complete BI tool.""Other tools might be worth considering if you need more advanced features or support for a larger user base."

More Google Data Studio Cons →

"OBIEE doesn't have audit logs.""There could be better integration with other solutions, such as Microsoft Office.""We needed some technical expertise during setup.""In the on-premises version, the feature for connecting and selecting the data between the databases looks a bit cumbersome, but I am not sure. The person who is using it takes a lot of time to design a data warehouse. When I ask him why is it taking this long, I get a response that this is something that he has to design, and there are different tools that are available. He has to write the ETL and design the warehouse according to the customer's requirement, which takes a lot of time. Its visualization should be enhanced, and there should be a feature where you can easily create your custom data warehouse.""Customer service/technical support gets five out of 10. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.""In our organization, we feel that data visualization for APIs is an area in which the solution lacks.""It would be better if it had a wide range of visualization options. For example, Microsoft Power BI has an extensive range of visualization options, but it's not available in OBIEE. There are also some conflicts because it's complicated, but the cloud application is easier. They added some features for ETL with the on-premises application, but we need a different or a separate application for ETL in the cloud. In the next release, I would like to have more AI features.""For a beginner, this is a product that is difficult to learn. You cannot learn it quickly."

More Oracle OBIEE Cons →

"The support for Zoho Analytics is pathetic.""There is a limitation that we cannot create more than 300 columns in a worksheet on Zoho Analytics.""The hourly pricing needs improvement.""The platform's pricing needs improvement.""It would be great to have more user input fields which can be used on dashboards.""This solution does not support manufacturing facilities.""In terms of improvement, they have a limited number of graphs available in their store. They should come up with more graph style forms. They should have more charts and at the same time, you can't create panels like with Microsoft BA.""I like the solution's Query Table feature which helps me write SQL queries. We can get data from different tables and then use it to create reports."

    Reviews from Real Users

Sandeep V., Process System Engineer at a comms service provider, tells us, “This solution is very easy for people who are building ad-hoc things. It's an enterprise solution so it can be deployed for a lot of users. There are some great new features that come with the 12c like data visualization, desktop BI Publisher, automation, and interactive dashboards. The product has good features. “

A user who is a CEO at a consultancy relates, “The most valuable feature is the visualization. The data warehousing, data storage, and data wrangling are all features that are in there, and it's one of the better products out there. A good thing is that for large datasets, it's very stable, especially when you have an Oracle database.”

A user who is a Principal Business Intelligence Architect at a computer software company suggests, "It is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. One of the major red flags we have at the moment against Oracle is that it doesn't support deployment on other cloud providers. We're quite heavily vested in AWS as our infrastructure, and Oracle is yet to formally support deploying on those virtual infrastructure instances. That's quite disappointing, and it also cuts them out of over 70% of the market."

Zoho Reports is a powerful, easy-to-use and highly scalable cloud-based reporting and business intelligence platform for small to medium-sized businesses. Its flexible pay-as-you-go pricing model and scope for customization allow businesses to tailor it to their unique needs.
