I use Palo Alto Networks Advanced Threat Prevention as an intelligent protection service, focusing on ongoing threats and known threats. It uses embedded signatures in PAN-DB and PAN-OS with regular updates and assesses transit traffic to block any identified threat signatures. I primarily use it on the perimeter for internet-bound traffic.

I have experience that started in 2020, working with Palo Alto Networks Advanced Threat Prevention as professional services.
A strong point of Palo Alto Networks Advanced Threat Prevention is their product called GlobalProtect VPN. There is a service called HTAP. If you enable this service, there is no other firewall available for this security profile because when you go outside of the computer network, you must connect to the Palo Alto VPN before accessing the internet. This means there will be complete security visibility. That feature is very good in Palo Alto.
If any company is using Palo Alto Networks Advanced Threat Prevention for firewall purposes, GlobalProtect VPN is available. When employees go outside the network from abroad or another country, we can block that computer through the Palo Alto firewall. This is a very good feature because if an employee has left, we can put the laptop in quarantine mode to protect company data.

The signature feed is sent to the firewall based on a schedule we configure. Intervals can go up to every five minutes where the firewall goes to the cloud to get the latest signature feeds. At the same time, there are mission learning capabilities on the firewall that categorize certain non-threats on ports and protocols as malicious traffic before creating the signature.
We have 30 to 50 resources that use the solution throughout our company.

We use it to upload, delete, and list what to publish on the net to block websites and even posts.
Recently, I blocked Adobe Acrobat Reader. When you install it on your PC, sometimes it contacts the internet and opens some posts. Thus, it can be easily hacked by a user on the internet. When you browse for this kind of list, you can easily upload it on Palo Alto without any difficulty.
