The recovery aspect of the solution is its most valuable feature.

The aspect of recovery and requiring very little effort for implementation as well as the simplicity of configuration are all very useful. It's difficult if you need a specialist to deploy the services. It doesn't make sense if you have a solution that is on the cloud, and you're trying to simplify everything including the solution itself, and it's difficult to deploy. With this solution, you don't have to worry about that.

The solution saves you money because you don't have to get a specialist, which can come at a great cost. 

If I could have an accelerator or something to back up the solution on the cloud, that would be helpful. Also, it would be helpful if the accelerator could give me a buffer of a couple of days for any kind of immediate recovery on an offsite.

If I could have a day or two to recover on-prem. If I could use the rest on cloud and have my backup offloaded to another engine (and that engine could basically be offline while handling the rest of the backup) that would be great. Then I wouldn't have to use my computer

I've been using the solution for eight to nine months.

It's widely accepted as a solution and it's very stable. They have documentation, etc., which is easy to understand.  There's also always development and improvement happening on the tech. It's not a solution that is sold and then there are no improvements. The constant updates gives me confidence that if a company is constantly working to improve itself, it's always working on its stability and reliability.

The scalability doesn't offer us any challenges, and I don't foresee any challenges in the future either.

I'm not sure how it would be for a bigger organization with a larger setup, however. My scalability needs wouldn't match, for example, a regular enterprise-level organization. We have about 100-110 users on the solution on a daily basis currently.

I've personally never been in touch with technical support. Someone for the technical side of our organization would handle that.

We did use a different solution for a virtualized server environment. This is our first experience with Druva for desktop/laptop backups, but we have used other solutions for server backups. We've used free versions as well as paid versions.

The initial setup was very straightforward. It was nice and simple. 

I'm not sure how long deployment took. I would estimate that it took, for the complete deployment, from the server-side, etc., half a day or so. For us, the process was quite comfortable, but I believe it could have been even easier.

Only one person is needed for deployment and you do not need anyone to handle the maintenance. There's a person required, obviously, to check on things from time to time but there are no specialists required. 

We had assistance with implementation help from a consultant. The consultant and the rest of our admin staff handled everything.

We did evaluate other options. At one point in time, there were other solutions in the market, but Druva was financially more viable for us. Mostly, this was in terms of the hardware required for deployment. The fact that it is on cloud-based, and didn't require us to prepare any hardware was financially a huge selling point. 

Druva has a tie with Azure. We did not directly choose Azure as our cloud and we've not engaged in the procurement of a cloud. 

Druva can be used on the desktop, for laptop backups, and on your virtualized environment backup.

I would recommend the solution to others.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten as it currently serves my purpose.

Druva offers two solutions: Druva inSync and Druva Phoenix.

Druva inSync is used for desktop and laptop backup, whereas Druva Phoenix is used for cloud-based server backup. Druva inSync has helped us in backing up our Microsoft Office 365 files. I have seen multiple products but the integration that Druva provides with Office 365 is not offered by any competing product.

We have a four-hour backup window, and machines are backed up at least three times a day.

Druva is one of the most trusted backup solutions for endpoint backup. It has helped us in backing up our endpoint machine, hassle-free. It is a very simple-to-use product, and users can even restore their own data. There is no administrative overhead in the product. You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product. Most importantly, the product is lightweight, as the client installed on a desktop or laptop is just 60MB in size.

The features that we find valuable are:

1. Geofencing (it allow users to restore data only in a specific network)
2. Office 365 / G Suite backup
3. DLP (Device tracking, Data wipe, and Encryption)
4. Druva inSync Share (like Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive)
5. Restrict admin access to user data
6. Mobile phone backup
7. You can restrict backups to a specified network (e.g. mobile network)
8. Resource throttling (CPU and Bandwidth)
9. Legal Hold feature is available
10. Compliance feature is also available

This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud. We have seen that some customers prefer on-premise backup, so they need to think about this.

This product is stable, and we have been using it for the past six years.

As I know from the vendor, some customers are backing up more than one hundred thousand machines using Druva. I don't think that scalability is an issue.

One of the best technical support groups that I have seen in my career. You just log a ticket and an engineer will be available in less than half an hour.

We did use another solution prior to this one, but we faced a lot of issues during the daytime backup, such as machine slowness.

Server setup takes less than ten minutes for installation and configuration, and the client setup takes between two and three minutes to install.

We performed the deployment in-house.

Druva is a cloud-based product and there is no on-premise option available.

During purchase, check with the Drive team to see how much storage they are providing per user. There are two options available at 50GB and 300GB.

Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor.

Before choosing this solution we evaluated:

2. Acronis
3. Veeam

The beauty of the product is keeping it simple, rather than making it more complicated, which is what Druva did for a long time. As multiple features were added it made the product heavier and more complicated.

We love the product and its offerings, and feel that it is the best product in the market.

Operates at the Block level which means high efficiency in throughput for low bandwidth clients.

Deduplication at the Block level means high efficiency of space and backup bandwidth, mine is about 90:1!

Runs without user intervention.

Some 80% of our users are disconnected from the network, not on WAN, AD, or VPN. Druva backs them up over the Internet with minimal intervention by administrators. Restoration is likewise pretty hands-off, and the user can do it themselves. Druva allows us to be secure in knowing our clients are backed up.

Auto Registration of Non-Domain machines. Registration is a manual process of creating a key and adding it to the client.
