An absolutely stable and scalable solution that works well and is fast in mitigating attacks
Pros and Cons
  • "It is working well. I tried a ransomware attack myself, and they were very fast in mitigating. I am very convinced of this product, and I am very satisfied with how it is working. The team behind the program itself is very valuable. If you don't have your own security team, they can do a great job for you. If your IT team isn't in the company, this can be of great value to you. Its documentation is very good. They have many different dashboards, and they do have a lot of information. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming how much information is there, but once you find your way through with them, everything is very logical."
  • "Some dashboards can be very complex, but once you get to know them, it is very logical."

What is most valuable?

It is working well. I tried a ransomware attack myself, and they were very fast in mitigating. I am very convinced of this product, and I am very satisfied with how it is working.

Its documentation is very good. They have many different dashboards, and they do have a lot of information. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming how much information is there, but once you find your way through with them, everything is very logical.

Some dashboards can be very complex, but once you get to know them, it is very logical.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution since 2019.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is absolutely stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is very scalable. It really doesn't matter whether you are a company using 100 endpoints or more than 2,000 endpoints. We have around 1,700 people in our company. There are around 200 people that need to be onboarded again.

How are customer service and support?

They were very fast in responding. If you have a technical question, it only takes a couple of hours before they answer your questions. They are very skilled.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We had Symantec endpoints previously. They were very traditional points. There isn't a resemblance between these two solutions because CrowdStrike is more into machine learning in terms of the behavior of the system. Symantec is more of a traditional antivirus that starts scanning your computer and new files. They both are very different in the way they work.

How was the initial setup?

Its setup is fairly basic. It is not very complex. We had the support of the Falcon Complete team to set it up. It took a couple of days.

What about the implementation team?

The Falcon Complete team introduced the platform.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It is a fairly firm price. It is not the cheapest solution, but if you take the complete team into consideration, it is a great value.

What other advice do I have?

You need to know that CrowdStrike is different in the way it works as opposed to the traditional software. It is fairly self-explaining, but you just need to know that this endpoint is based on the behavior. This means that if you introduce a USB stick with malicious software on it and the software or the file isn't opened yet or is dormant, CrowdStrike won't detect it. The minute you are trying to use that file, and the file is trying to execute things, CrowdStrike detects it instantly and takes action to mitigate a problem.

I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete a nine out of ten. It is a great product. For our company, it is the right product. It is company deployed, and we will stick with CrowdStrike.

Great at stopping vulnerabilities, takes a proactive approach to security, and is not signature-based
Pros and Cons
  • "It's not a signature-based solution, which is ideal for us."
  • "In a future release, it would be ideal if they could add reporting and action histories to their suite of features."

What is most valuable?

Overall, the solution is pretty good.

The overall ability to stop vulnerabilities is quite helpful.

I appreciate how the solution takes a proactive approach to security.

It's not a signature-based solution, which is ideal for us.

What needs improvement?

The solution could offer integration with some additional solutions - for example, vulnerability scanners.

In a future release, it would be ideal if they could add reporting and action histories to their suite of features.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the product at this point for about three years. It hasn't been too long.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I also currently use SentinelOne and FireEye. However, CrowdStrike is a solution I primarily use right now.

What other advice do I have?

I work for a very large VAR, and we handle about a billion dollars in security right now.

I'm a reseller and security architect.

Overall, I would rate the solution at a ten out of ten. It's an excellent option and one we highly recommend to our clients. We offer it quite extensively over other options.

A good solution that can provide detection and response in an extensive way and integrate the information
Pros and Cons
  • "It is a very good solution. It can provide detection and response in an extensive way, and for an endpoint, it can integrate the information that comes from the servers."
  • "It has a lot of false positives, which can be an issue, but you can verify these false positives."

What is our primary use case?

We are currently testing CrowdStrike Falcon Complete. We have just started to work with this solution. It has many options, but I haven't yet tried them. I have also used it previously in another company.

What is most valuable?

It is a very good solution. It can provide detection and response in an extensive way, and for an endpoint, it can integrate the information that comes from the servers.

What needs improvement?

It has a lot of false positives, which can be an issue, but you can verify these false positives.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are currently testing CrowdStrike Falcon Complete and Carbon Black, and then we will decide. I was considering Carbon Black, but CrowdStrike has a better positioning in Mexico. This is why we are considering this solution.

What other advice do I have?

In terms of XDR, it is a very good solution. It is one of the leaders for XDR.

I would rate CrowdStrike Falcon Complete an eight out of ten.

A scalable end-point protection solution with a useful incident management feature
Pros and Cons
  • "I find the incident management feature valuable because it identifies new types of viruses and sends an alert to the console administrator to check the hardware."
  • "It would be better if they offered other language options. It's only in English, and in Latin America, we mostly speak Spanish."

What is most valuable?

I find the incident management feature valuable because it identifies new types of viruses and sends an alert to the console administrator to check the hardware.

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete also shows the levels of the rights for both PCs and servers. It also checks the threats and all the attacks on the internet. I also like the console, the interface, the reports, and the dashboard. It's a good product.

What needs improvement?

It would be better if they offered other language options. It's only in English, and in Latin America, we mostly speak Spanish.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is scalable. It's good because you only pay for what you need. If I need 100 agents or if I want to scale to 500, I just have to pay for it because the solution is in the cloud. The companies pay for the users they need.

How are customer service and technical support?

Technical support is good. The company also offered training for resellers.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy because of the admin login on the platform. You just send the link to the end-user, click it, and set up the agent. It's that easy. It takes about five minutes to deploy this solution.

What other advice do I have?

I would tell potential users to uninstall other antivirus products before installing this solution. If you don't do it, it will affect its performance.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give CrowdStrike Falcon Complete a nine.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Simple initial setup, effective protection, and reliable
Pros and Cons
  • "CrowdStrike Falcon Complete has stable security."
  • "We have a problem with the CrowdStrike Falcon Complete agent. It was closing the communication with the network or other computers."

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of  CrowdStrike Falcon Complete are the CWP protection and the integration with SIEM.

What needs improvement?

We have a problem with the CrowdStrike Falcon Complete agent. It was closing the communication with the network or other computers.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using CrowdStrike Falcon Complete for a few years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete has stable security.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I have found CrowdStrike Falcon Complete to be scalable.

How are customer service and support?

We have needed to create a service request with support. It took them to solve one incident three days. They could be quicker to resolve problems. However, they proved a typical level of support that other companies have.

I would rate the support from CrowdStrike Falcon Complete a three out of five.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was simple.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a standard license to use CrowdStrike Falcon Complete.

What other advice do I have?

It looks at the anomalies that normal AI and machine learning couldn't catch
Pros and Cons
  • "CrowdStrike side, Falcon is the Endpoint Detection, Overwatch is the service that sits behind it. From a human point of view looks at the anomalies that normal AI and machine learning couldn't catch. So it is the combination of the two that really works well."
  • "It really is an expensive product in the South African market. And they need people in our country. Their partner program isn't yet where it should be. They need a lot of work and there's a lot of improvement needed."

What is most valuable?

CrowdStrike side, Falcon is the Endpoint Detection, Overwatch is the service that sits behind it. From a human point of view,it looks at the anomalies that normal AI and machine learning couldn't catch. So it is the combination of the two that really works well.

What needs improvement?

At this stage, I don't really see room for improvement. I do think because the IP security market and the threat landscape is moving along so quickly, there's always room for improvement and there are always new elements one has to look at and look at in-depth, but at this stage, OverWatch is much better than the competitors. And I've seen a lot of their competitors.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for around a year and three months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is very stable at this stage.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's very scalable. It's scalable to the extent where it will out-scale anything we've got in South Africa. It definitely would fulfill every single need we've got in South Africa in terms of scalability.

Our clients are mostly enterprise, but they vary. They are clients that take security very seriously. I focus just on the security side and obviously even smaller customers have big security profiles sometimes.

How are customer service and technical support?

The technical support so far has been good. It would be better if they had people in the country, in South Africa. But other than that, it's been very good. I haven't had complaints.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did use other solutions before CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike is the most expensive, so not always the best solution to everybody's problem because of the price tag. From a security efficacy point of view, I have not seen anything that's been as good as CrowdStrike and I've seen a lot them.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was straightforward. I've seen rollouts where a thousand could be rolled out in an hour. So it really is quite straightforward. It is simple. It doesn't need the back end that a lot of your other endpoint security products need where you need to install a lot of servers on-site before you can get the solution in and working. From prerequisites and so forth there's very little that you need. It really is simple and quick.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to anybody considering this is: Do it. If somebody really wants to implement and they've already seen that they've got a need, I believe everybody's got a need, and that they've got budget and total for it, my advice would be to do it. Get it implemented. Any of the traditional antivirus solutions or endpoint protection solutions see about 50% of what goes on, on the internet. People who don't have CrowdStrike or a decent competitor, they are blind to 50% of the problem. You cannot manage what you cannot see. My advice is to do it.

I'd rate it an eight out of ten. Not a ten because the price point is not good. It really is an expensive product in the South African market. And they need people in our country. Their partner program isn't yet where it should be. They need a lot of work and there's a lot of improvement needed. But in terms of the technical and the security behind the product, it's a kick-ass product.

Good managed detection and response features, and easy to use, but the reporting needs to be improved
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the Managed Detection and Response."
  • "All of our customers complain about the reporting and say that it is very poor."

What is our primary use case?

We are a solution provider and CrowdStrike Falcon Complete is one of the products that we offer to our customers. We have several different customers for which we provide this software as a service. In other cases, customers purchase licenses for it through us and we administrate it.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the Managed Detection and Response.

What needs improvement?

All of our customers complain about the reporting and say that it is very poor.

Technical support in Latin America could be improved.

It is not difficult to use and it is fast to implement.

I would like to have a feature to collect logs and explore the information.

In the next release, I would like to have a simplified remote installation.

For how long have I used the solution?

CrowdStrike Falcon Complete

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is easy to scale this product. We have approximately 20,000 users.

How are customer service and technical support?

Technical support in Latin America is delayed. Many times, the customers ask for something from support but they speak Spanish, and that delays the response.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward and pretty easy to complete.

The implementation is fast.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The average price is approximately $500 per customer.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Hybrid Cloud
