We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is scalable.""I think one of the best use cases is centralizing supplier and customer data into our finance system. We identified there were so many duplicate suppliers and customers and so a lot of time was spent reporting.""Oracle's technical support is better than others.""The new Subledger Accounting feature is very strong.""Very flexible in terms of configurations and it's capable of integrations.""The most valuable features of Oracle E-Business Suite are all the 15 to 20 modules. We use them on a day-to-day basis.""The technical ability to run runtime APIs is great.""E-Business Suite's best features are the standard process, the table dictionary, and the ability to work with the SQL language to correlate data."

"The technical support is very good.""The product provides consistent updates and upgrades."

More Sage MAS Pros →

"I like the solution’s features in finance, supply chain, sales, and distribution.""The solution has far more features, processes, and functionalities than we previously had.""It is an integrated application, and it has been working really well. Earlier, there were different companies for different applications for manufacturing, finance controlling, logistics, and quality. It probably was the first fully integrated application. Whenever somebody is entering any data, for example, invoice data or ordering data, everyone with a right to see this data can see it in the system.""I like that SAP ERP is very robust and stable.""I like SAP's premade workflows for various areas, such as supply chain, procurement, or finance.""It meets our requirements for what we need it to do in the manufacturing industry.""It is a utility-focused solution, and the deployment is very much aligned with utility service providers. If you look at the supply chain and the overall business model of a utility service provider, SAP is something that fits very well. That's because the company has invested tremendously in creating appropriate workflows pertaining to this segment or domain.""The solution is quite scalable."

Cons
"Oracle E-Business Suite uses an old technology (Forms), which is Java-based.""The way things are going, Oracle is not putting much effort into their master data management. They need to look into machine data and then the integrated data domain.""Sometimes I have issues with the performance tuning.""They should have a nicer way to handle very high volumes of data because we deal with really high volumes, and sometimes, we end up with performance issues.""The integration features of the tool on on-premises weren't that great, making it an area where improvements are required.""Not user friendly.""Improving the reporting and user interface of Oracle ERP would be beneficial and is something that can be considered for future updates.""Administration takes some effort. Administrating the technology stack is not so complex but application aware database administration and following the new methodologies like online patching can be a little complex and time consuming. Oracle should ease the administrators jobs and do some innovation on this administration area as well. Oracle Autonomous Database is Oracle's leading technology these days. Using a similar approach, application stack may become a little more self-managing."

"We're definitely looking at a new system because everything in this product needs improving.""The vendor stopped supporting the solution on the Linux platform."

More Sage MAS Cons →

"There will always be something within our business that it won't fit.""The service could be more user-friendly in the area of transition codes.""It is a little difficult to use.""It would also help if it were more open, more flexible, with more standard products.""I believe there's room for improvement in terms of user experience.""The version that we are using lacks in reporting. The reporting feature needs to be constructed more in this product. There can be better scope for mobility. They could include the technical development of reports instead of depending completely on programming. The programming method needs to be easy.""When evaluating the current version I am using now, the SAP GUI is old-style and needs to be replaced with something more modern and easy to use. However, the SAP GUI is very optimized for connection networks and is extremely good. Many people would like to have a WebGUI or something else to have access in a different way. Additionally, there could be some drag and drop functionality added because these features are normally in any website that this solution does not have.""It has a high cost."

    Reviews from Real Users:

Kopano R., Freelancer at a tech services company, says, “What I found most valuable in Oracle E-Business Suite is the patching because it is straightforward. As long as you follow Oracle's best practices, you are able to finish the task of patching without a problem. I like that it's also easy to add products, e.g. if you want to add on financials, you can, or if you don't have financials, you can expand on that. I like that Oracle E-Business Suite is really scalable.”

Mohammed G., Senior Oracle Application Consultant at a comms service provider, writes, “Oracle E-Business Suite consists of a lot of streams, such as financial and HR processes of the enterprise companies. We are using most of the Oracle financial modules, and we have an Oracle stream, FI procurement stream, and HR streams, which have a lot of applications. Oracle E-Business Suite has over 20 different modules to choose from, it is comprehensive. Additionally, the integration is very good. “

Integrated floral management system with order processing, design room operations, customer service performance, web site integration.
SAP ERP addresses the core business software requirements of midsize and large organizations in all industries and sectors. SAP ERP includes four individual solutions that support key areas of enterprise resource planning: human capital management, financials, operations, corporate services.
