We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Our customers have benefited from Omada Identity automating the certification process. Most of our customers were using manual methods for user access certification. With Omada Identity, you can automate almost all of it, which means that certification now becomes on demand. You don't have to wait for two or three months to execute a certification timeframe. Instead, you can do certifications as often as you want.""The benefits of Omada Identity include a holistic way of viewing access, the ability to give people access, and automation.""The support for the validity of the resources is valuable. The tool allows resource assignments within a validity period so that the managers do not have to remember to revoke the access once the work is done.""As an administrator, we benefit from a lot of functionality that is available out of the box, but it is also configurable to meet our specific needs.""The most relevant feature is Omada's reporting engine. Omada never 'forgets' and archives every process. All steps an admin, user, or manager has executed, are recorded in Omada.""The Governance and self-service that can be set up so you can use them yourself to work in the system are the most valuable features. End users can be enabled to help themselves.""Surveying is a valuable feature because it allows us to import data and see who has access to what data, for example.""For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand."

More Omada Identity Pros →

"The most valuable feature for us is the ability to use Active Directory groups as virtual containers instead of domains because it means that we can control our access groups better."

More Gemalto Protiva Pros →

"The most powerful feature of the solution is its platform-based approach. Unlike other solutions, this tool offers a high level of customization. It is an open and flexible platform, allowing users to tailor it to their needs. This ability to customize and adapt the solution to individual requirements makes the solution stand out as a powerful product.""The solution is very good at the management of the identity lifecycle.""The tool is quite stable and user-friendly.""Security and administration for any new/current access.""One of the most valuable aspects of SailPoint is its open integration interface.""Good life cycle management, segregation of duties, and analytics features.""The Certification and Provisioning features are most valuable.""IdentityIQ's best features are the hassle-free user experience and security."

Cons
"We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes.""The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement.""The Omada support response time has room for improvement.""Omada's reporting functionality is limited and could benefit from greater customization.""I would like more training. As someone who is new to this world, I don't feel that the courses Omada provides are good enough. They should also improve the documentation. It is difficult to learn how to use the solution by yourself""If you find an error and you need it fixed, you have to upgrade. It's not like they say, "Okay, we'll fix this problem for you." You have to upgrade. The last time we upgraded, because there was an error in a previous version, we had to pay 150,000 Danish Krone (about $24,000 at the time of this review) to upgrade our systems... That means that we have to pay to get errors fixed that Omada has made in programming the system. I hope they change this way of looking at things.""The solution should be made more agile for customers to own or configure.""The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"The user interface needs improvement."

More Gemalto Protiva Cons →

"We faced some issues while integrating the solution with a third-party tool.""The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve.""The connector for EPIC, ServiceNow, and Duo.""The advanced provisioning features require more improvement.""The mover process for this solution could be improved.""SailPoint IdentityIQ could be cheaper.""Competitors are advancing by offering integrated solutions encompassing access and privileged access management in a single unified platform. IdentityIQ's focus has remained primarily on identity and access governance, neglecting to expand its offerings to include these additional functionalities within its existing product. Enhancing their product by incorporating modules for access management, privileged access management, and third-party access governance could address this gap.""Compared to at least one other product some of the administrative tasks could be easier or more intuitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "This is a cost-effective solution compared to some other products out there."
  • More Gemalto Protiva Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "SailPoint IIQ is the best of best. That is reflected in the pricing of the solution. The pricing is based on the number of identities."
  • "They are expensive."
  • "The licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
  • "SailPoint is higher in price as compared to Saviynt. The initial cost of SailPoint is very high. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
  • "Its price is okay. It provides good value for money. It is subscription-based. You can go for a one-year or three-year subscription."
  • "The price of the solution could improve, it is not priced well for smaller businesses to afford."
  • "It is a costly solution. Its cost, for sure, should be reduced."
  • "You do pay one price for the license but that price depends on what you choose to include as far as the optional modules go."
