Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The integrated Fortinet security with the app that allows you to easily do the two-factor authentication is most valuable.""The initial setup is easy. You receive a QR code via email, scan it, and add it. No complicated procedures involved.""I believe FortiToken is the simplest to implement.""Fortinet FortiToken is used for double factor authentication.""The product provides secure access to our internal server.""I appreciate that it provides comprehensive security. It is tailored to this specific purpose, and it excels in fulfilling this purpose.""I love the push-button authentication on FortiToken Mobile. It's also great that the soft token automatically reloads the OTP at intervals, so I always have a fresh code to enter.""Bangladesh is a price-sensitive market, and FortiToken is popular because it's more affordable than the Palo Alto and Cisco authentication solutions. Fortinet has a local director for Bangladesh, so they can deliver solutions to customers quickly."

"IdentityIQ's best features are the hassle-free user experience and security.""The initial setup isn't so difficult.""This solution has made our team more effective. We need less manual approvals when someone new joins our company. There is less paperwork and fewer support tickets raised for access.""We are happy with the SailPoint IdentityIQ’s stability.""This solution is easy to configure.""The community is very active and when I had questions about an issue, I was able to find the resources.""SailPoint IdentityIQ has a good and straightforward user interface. They also have a lot of resources and documentation available to understand the process.""Has a great certification module with intuitive options."

Cons
"Its reporting should be better. The reporting feature is missing. I don't have any reporting of who has done what, what has failed, and what didn't work.""Support is a pain point in Bangladesh because there aren't many experienced Fortinet engineers in this country. It's easier to find one certified in Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper.""The problem is that our customers create budgets annually based on the figures at the beginning of the fiscal year. Our customers get annoyed when the price is adjusted in the middle of the year. I understand that it's a difficult time, and price increases make sense for hardware devices. However, FortiToken is a software product, so it shouldn't be affected by factors like chip shortages or supply chain issues. Software solutions should have more transparent and predictable pricing.""The app could be improved so that you don't have to actually type in the code. It would be great if you can just do a prompt or push similar to the way Duo does.""Fortinet FortiToken should improve its push notifications.""The solution works well. We have nothing to complain about.""We can only use the tool with the FortiToken Mobile app.""The solution comes with two firewalls as a bundle. In that bundle, most of the individual users can be assigned to mobile users. However, in cases of technical difficulties, users may accidentally remove the mobile application. In normal scenarios, we get back to the activation key and assign it again."

More Fortinet FortiToken Cons →

"It allowed to implement the automated processes when a new employee is hired. It allows to have a main central process for new hires.""The mover process for this solution could be improved.""What it doesn't do is provide notice in the event of a vulnerability or offense from the security.""The UI of the solution could be more customizable so we could change the workflows to suit our needs.""The user interface is not very user-friendly.""The cost of this solution is high. The technical assistance center could be improved. They're very good, but considering the intricacies of the solution, they can further improve.""The price of IdentityIQ could be lower. There are additional costs when you buy the licenses, and they force the customers to pay for them.""They can work on their strategy for the on-premise version. They have to decide whether and for how long they will support the on-premise version. The new features first appear in the cloud, and after that, they are released for the on-premise version. In the cloud, you have more options and flexibility, which is absolutely normal. They have to have a clear strategy regarding whether they'll support the on-premises version with the same focus. The licensing for on-premise and cloud is a little bit different. They can make it the same."

    Overview

As we've seen, passwords alone don't keep unwanted guests out of your network. Password-only authentication has led to security breaches, malware infections, and policy violations. With two-factor authentication, a password is used along with a security token and authentication server to provide far better security.  Authorized employees can remotely access company resources safely using a variety of devices, ranging from lpatops to mobile phones.
