Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate are the APIs. They are the most widely known.""There are great templates, so you don't have to customize them if you don't want to. You do have the option to custom create some folders and some reports, however, with what is there, you don't really need to go through extra effort, as they already give you a lot of predefined views of reports and so forth.""Mainly the FortiGate reporting system is very good. It guides us through all the expectations of security. Fortinet provides us all that we need for security. Also, Fortinet FortiGate is a next-generation firewall. It is much more advanced than others.""The interface is very user-friendly and I like it very much.""The most valuable features are the policies, filtering, and configuration.""Whenever we raise a complaint with FortiGate, their response and resolution times are minimal.""Our project needs to link two sides through the internet. One of these was in Cairo and the other in another city. We used FortiGate as the integrating solution between the two locations, i.e. the Fortinet 30E & 100E.""I like Fortinet FortiGate's antispam filter, SPN, and clustering features."

Also, It helps businesses in terms of being secured and protected from any threats.""The visibility and log availability offered are highly valued for troubleshooting purposes, and this is a key factor driving customer interest in the firewall module.""It provides in-depth visibility into your network, ensuring that traffic flowing into your organization, be it from offices or individual users, is effectively filtered and secured through multiple layers of protection.""Most of the features that Zscaler has to offer, we will deploy.""Zscaler provides effective protection against various cyber threats ensuring a safe environment"

Cons
"Fortinet should focus on enhancing the capabilities of FortiGate by consolidating its various products, such as FortiGate Cloud, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.""The cloud management and automation capability could be improved.""The customization could be improved. Cisco, for example, is much better at this. They need to work to be at least as good as they are.""The routing capability on the FortiGate devices has room for improvement.""One of the features that I would like to have is to do with endpoint production, it should be integrated. For example, the firewall gets notified of any kind of forensic event that needs to be done, such as if there is a ransomware attack and how it originated, all those records have to be available from the firewall, which is not.""The solution is very expensive.""Its reporting can be improved. Sometimes, I don't get proper reports.""The Wi-Fi controller needs a lot of improvement."

More Fortinet FortiGate Cons →

"I haven't seen any feature that will allow me direct authentication for a VPN solution."

More Comodo Dome Firewall [EOL] Cons →

"The product could improve its integration with some legacy systems.""Certain criteria need to be met if you want to scale this solution.""Zscaler Cloud Firewall should have a better understanding of all dynamic cloud applications.""We are having some issues with internet access being denied when organizational ID-based policies change. For example, a lower level employee ends up getting the same level of access as that of a higher level employee.""There are some areas it could improve when it comes to blocking, we have to block some things manually. For example, if we block a top-level domain we have seen that the new IPs come through, the IPs are not blocked. There should be some more granular way of doing it. My only request is if you're blocking something at a top level, the sub-level sub-domains and all those other IPs should be blocked too automatically.""Instead of the standard license, they should certainly provide customers with the visibility to access and view the logs.""Pricing is a challenge.""Its technical support services could be better."
