We primarily use the solution to research revenue management and billing reports across subject area reports related to billing. We deploy the solution on a private version of AWS cloud.

Has helped our organization by fulfilling our security needs, but the self-service reporting could be better
Pros and Cons
- "We find the access restrictions on different user groups valuable."
- "A better focus should be put on self-service reporting."
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
The solution has improved our organization by fulfilling our needs related to security.
What is most valuable?
We find the access restrictions on different user groups valuable. Additionally, the reports are quite easy to pay for, so getting users aligned on reporting is valuable.
What needs improvement?
We have experienced session issues with the session management and the user running a report. So the user's environments can be improved, and a better focus should be put on self-service reporting. So a self-service module could help TIBCO go to the next level.

For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the solution for approximately three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable. It wasn't bad when it came to performance, so there wasn't much lag between the database and the report.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable. There are approximately two users using the solution in our organization. We haven't pushed it to the limit with this solution, but I think it's capable of handling good traffic and volume of data. I rate the scalability a nine out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
We haven't had contact with Jaspersoft customer service and support, but we have connected with the AWS team.
How was the initial setup?
I rate the initial setup an eight out of ten, and it has its required ramp-up.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented the solution in-house with a team of three developers.
What was our ROI?
There is a return on investment because it saves effort when you have reports scheduled as it gives users direct access to database exports.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price is neutral because the cost is justified with the level of reporting required. I rate the pricing a five out of ten, with ten being expensive and one being cheap.
What other advice do I have?
I rate the solution a seven out of ten. The solution is good but can be improved by including self-service reporting. I recommend the solution to users considering implementing it. There are features in the tool that make it easier to create the templates, and those templates can be reused.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.
