The latest version is HOPEX WiFi. HOPEX can be on the cloud and accessed from anywhere within the given access network area.

It is very interactive. We can do things from anywhere, and all the applications will work as specified.

We can generate documents and can publish the documents. We can create a data match and visualize graphs and everything. Everything can be generated from the web interface itself. It has good functionality.

We can develop our own customizations and meta models to define requirements, in-house business functions, and requirements.

MEGA is already defined by global standards. A company can adapt to global standards and work in such a way to design its own methodology to define its structure.

The interface is very good.

The most valuable feature is the completeness of HOPEX's meta-model. It's a strong meta-model that's rigid but comprehensive. It's a logical fit for our understanding of how we want things modeled in our database.

We're implementing fundamental features such as a centralized repository for applications and technologies and the ability to access reports from all the data. These are the foundational aspects of the system's operation.

When transitioning to this process, it's crucial also to understand your data. This understanding will likely yield significant benefits. The aspect may become irrelevant in a few months as you complete our data work and move on to other areas, such as optimizing workflow understanding. This dynamic nature is something to consider. MEGA HOPEX currently suits our environment best, offering features like executive engagement that we find valuable and can utilize whenever needed.

What's most valuable in MEGA HOPEX is that it follows the reference model where each component is defined. When you put the component on the diagram, it shows you all semantic definitions, including the flags, data flow, interface, etc.

I also like the diagram consistency in MEGA HOPEX.

The main feature that we like the most is the ability to have a unique repository where all the architects can interact and play together with the shapes of different architecture solutions. They have a unified repository where users can share the developments they're working on.

Its availability is very good.

We've had some internal changes in the company. It allows us to start with an initiative that will accumulate new architecture solutions. At this moment, the initiative works with specifically with HOPEX and we are able to adapt it to our new company direction.

The main feature I find crucial in MEGA HOPEX is the catalog view, which provides a comprehensive visualization of all artifacts in one repository. Another valuable aspect is the availability of out-of-the-box outcomes, such as strategy maps and BPA models, eliminating the need for additional configuration.

MEGA HOPEX allows users to focus on specific business areas, like risk management or data governance, providing a high-level overview while enabling deep dives into specific areas of interest. For risk management, MEGA HOPEX allows users to assess impacts, create recovery plans, and track action plans.

The most valuable feature of MEGA HOPEX is the publication method for static websites. You can generate the whole database into a static website. Additionally, in the new tabular entry, you don't have to put objects or links, you can go and fill a tab and the MEGA HOPEX will generate an object for you in a simple way.

The main module we use is ITPM. The ability to have standardized reports around obsolescence and lifecycle management is probably the most valuable.

We are trying to move to a more standardized approach regarding how we do lifecycle management and having the ability to generate the obsolescence report which says what applications are impacted by obsolete technologies on a rolling horizon is valuable so that we can actually do our business planning and manage technical data in a more organized manner then the way that we have been doing it today.

It shows you for all of the applications that are depending upon obsolete technology, what is the technology that is going obsolete and what is the application that is impacted. Essentially, it's a list view.

The support experience in Latin America is great. For us, it's very important to have local connections and use cases. MEGA has had a lot of partners in Latin America. It's the differentiation with the other companies. Many others use services outside of Latin America - in Europe or the USA. However, we like the local connection, which was the main selling point for us.

Transparency in developing a global enterprise inventory of the firm's application and technology assets.

The aspect of the tool that appeals to us at this time is the HOPEX IT portfolio management capability. What that portfolio management capability allows us to do is manage a document and manage our global application and technology portfolio.

The product itself has good reporting. Because we're an enterprise we have several different enterprise reporting tools, we use a data mart which is associated in order to use different enterprise reporting tools like QlikView, Cognos, Excel and BusinessObjects.

We found the IT portfolio management capability to be very comprehensive and well thought through, the front end is elegant at this point, it's easy to use, it's moderately intuitive, and it meets our needs. I would argue that it's probably the preeminent IT portfolio management solution on the market.

Enterprise Business Architect at a insurance company with 10,001+ employees

The main benefit of Mega is the fact that you can link data from multiple enterprise architecture practices so that, for instance, business architecture artifacts can link to system architecture artifacts, and so you can get a more complete picture. Things aren't siloed. It's not like the process models are just off to the side by themselves. There are aspects of the processes that you can link to systems which can link to technologies, so that you can say these processes require these technologies and then those technologies can link to other parts of Mega so that you can get a more complete picture.

--- Applications might use different technologies. It might use Cobol, it might use Java, it might need Internet Explorer, it might need a certain JVM. You can make those links. If you want to start with capability, to give a capability to the business, you use a certain process, that process uses certain applications, those applications require certain technologies. If you change that technology, you have that link all the way back to the business capability. If you had the users that are using those processes or capabilities, you can know who is going to be impacted if we replace one technology with another.

What I find the most valuable is the process workflow. It is really good.

The fact that you can decompose is also valuable, as is the file D structure. Also, the fact that you can have your own logical repository structure and you can drag and drop is very valuable. This is largely because of its intuitiveness.

Once you understand the logic behind the tool, MEGA HOPEX is quite intuitive. I also like the ability to create custom reports. I like the fact that you can share repository content via web to other end users who are not architects.

Traceability across architecture domains - business architecture and data technology. All of them can connect the dots, and get an end-to-end view of the architecture landscape. That is one of the powerful strengths of the tool. The second strength is the ability to query and mine for information. There is also a valuable portion of the tool, where you can query, navigate through, break down, and find more information. These are at least three things that stand out.

With the amount of information that we can store, and the meta-model that is out there, we invest a lot of time in building the meta-model. Right now, it is vendor-specific. We moved away from industry standard. It makes it that much more harder for us to take this data and put it in some other tool. We've got a lot of investment in the meta-data that's out there.

HOPEX has a panel that offers various views. I think that is very good. MEGA has an app for integrating with a lot of apps. We help our clients integrate HOPEX with a different product like Apple Gateway, for example. I've been with the company for 15 years, and we connect with everything. Our clientele includes almost all of the banks in Mexico.

The most valuable feature of the tool is its ability to provide line of sight from Buinsess Outcome (Service to be delivered) down to how the resources are configured and connected to make it happen. Understanding how the Business and technology align to provide the organizational ability to deliver the niche that it plays in in our environment.

It does this by allowing us to capture the business process, business elements, and the technology elements and create relationships between them.

The ability to create diagrams and documents that tell the right story is a key feature. With this product we are able to produce reports that take architecturally modeled information and produce System Design Guides that are foundational for our organization to certify and accredit our Investments. The ability of the report to "walk the architecture" and pull out relevant ports, protocol, and Service information related to which client applications are talking to which servers helps validate what firewall ports need to be opened, etc.

The IT portfolio is the most useful feature. The IT portfolio management is becoming more advanced and more easy for the IT management to generate revenue, to see the gaps within management with the portfolio management application. However, in the end, we didn't use it. I could not convince our management to implement the solution, even though I thought it seemed interesting.

As a business and process analyst, I found the Mega Process module very powerful. Since Hopex is an integrated architecture, it was possible to depict business processes with BPMN notation, and identify every system that participated in the process then generate the application architecture. It is also possible to generate textual procedures from the process models with Mega Process, and it is possible to export all processes to the enterprise architecture (TOGAF) module if needed.

MEGA has different models and different disciplines, but perhaps for me, the best feature would be that it has one unique repository for all of them. On the modules, they are MEGA HOPEX, IT portfolio management, enterprise architecture, business process, analytics, governance, risk and compliance. Every module sets up the same information in a unique repository. It's a very good and tight integration for every stakeholder in the company.

The most valuable feature for this solution is the automatic updating and propagation of changes across the system. For example, when we make a change in one of our organizational charts, the changes are automatically made in all of the other processes. This saves us time as compared to in the past when this had to be done manually.

It is a user-friendly solution.
