Our company's technical team handles the reselling part of the tool. I haven't heard of any problems related to the product.

My company's clients use the solution. The tool is not majorly used to monitor the network traffic or intrusion, so it is purely for protecting the network.

The tool is expensive for small businesses, making it an area where the tool can improve the product by making it available at a cheaper rate.

I have experience with Fortinet FortiGate IPS. My company operates as a reseller. Sometimes, we purchase products to help our company's clients who need to renew the licenses of certain solutions.

My company never had any complaints about the tool in terms of performance or stability.

My company's clients are usually small businesses, so they don't spend too much time on security and protection, meaning they use the tool to meet their bare minimum needs.

Though I have never contacted the solution's technical support, I feel that the tool offers good support since I have never heard any complaints about the product's technical team from my company's team members.

I think that my company has been using Fortinet FortiGate IPS for at least four to five years. My company has not been using the rest of the products in the market, so it is not possible for me to compare Fortinet FortiGate IPS with other solutions. So far, my company has been happy with Fortinet FortiGate IPS.

The product's initial setup phase was pretty easy because my company is familiar with the product.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.

The solution can be deployed in an hour.

The tool is a bit pricey for small businesses, but it is still bearable in terms of cost.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS is used alone, so there is no need for any integrations.

The tool is not majorly used to monitor traffic or intrusions, so it doesn't provide much visibility in such areas. I am not sure whether Fortinet FortiGate IPS can be used easily for monitoring, considering that our company has many firewall tools over different networks. I am not sure whether it is possible to use the tool to log in or sign in individually.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS is a firewall that can be deployed on-premise, as an appliance, or you can be deployed on the private cloud as a VM or public clouds such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS. 

One use case is where traffic is coming in, and it is scanned because all traffic is untrusted, even within the network. You want to scan the traffic within your network. Most of the use-cases are internal networks and external networks.

The most useful features of Fortinet FortiGate IPS are you can create a virtual firewall within it, most other firewalls do not have this feature. You are able to manage your network and have network segmentation within your firewall. Additionally, you can create virtual switches within the firewall and have policy management, such as firewall and access policy.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS could improve the configuration. In some use cases, there can be some configuration conflicts.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate IPS for approximately four years.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS is a highly stable solution.

I have found  Fortinet FortiGate IPS to be scalable.

The support from Fortinet FortiGate IPS is good.

The initial setup of Fortinet FortiGate IPS was not completely easy, it is in the medium range of difficulty.

I would rate the initial setup of Fortinet FortiGate IPS a seven out of ten.

The licensing policies need to be fixed because if our license expires for Fortinet FortiGate IPS then all the functionality and internet do not work. However, with other vendors when the license expires the internet continues to work but some functionality is limited. Once my license expired before I even knew it, I could not continue with my business functions. 

If you compare the price of Fortinet FortiGate IPS to other firewalls, Check Point is priced very high followed by Palo Alto and Sophos. Fortinet FortiGate IPS price is more reasonable.

I have evaluated other solutions, such as Check Point, Sophos, and Palo Alto.

I rate Fortinet FortiGate IPS a nine out of ten.

We use this for bandwidth management and user security when accessing specific internet service devices.

Before using this solution, we had many problems accessing our resources because we don't have a lot of internet bandwidth. And by using application control and traffic shaping, we were able to manage users to quickly access services that are important. This tool has aided in the simplicity of our day-to-day management.

I value it's IPS and application control solution.

I have been using this solution as an integrator for the past five years.

The solution is pretty much stable.

The solution is scalable and we are planning to increase usage in the future.

Customer service and support is great.

We used Sophos in the past. We switched after seeing a presentation on Fortinet FortiGate IPS where we concluded it would be easier to use and more secure for our company.

I think that setup was easy or medium depending on number of resources. Deployment took about a week. We wanted to have control over all of our users so it took some time to create each user on the device one by one and allocate a security profile to specific group of users.

We have this for about one hundred users which include the administrators, IT security and network manager.

Implementation was done via in-house team.

There are currently five team members maintaining the tool.

We do not have physical data for this, but we know that this product has allowed us to have less people working on the security side which provides the company with more human capital to work on other projects. 

It's a year based license.

We evaluated Cisco Meraki. The main difference was between the configuration and the security option that they give to us. With FortiGate we have so many security features that we never have to make any sophisticated configurations making it easy to manage.

Potential customers should first approach Fortinet pre-sales. Our pre-sales agent was able to give us good advice. His technical and buying advice made implementation of the solution easy. 

There are also many resources available on the web that make implementation easy.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS is used for network security.

The Fortinet FortiGate IPS has a good interface and integration.

The solution could improve the integration.

I have been using Fortinet FortiGate IPS for approximately eight years.

The solution is stable, we have not had a problem with it becoming unstable.

Fortinet FortiGate IPS is scalable.

We did not have a problem with the cloud configuration.

My advice to others is to study the current technology and the existing network well before starting the implementation. Additionally, it is important to collect the data in the right way.

The web filtering categories could improve in Fortinet FortiGate IPS. There are too many websites under the category of Unknown and the other categories are not featuring all the necessary sites.

FortiGate IPS is really easy to use. I don't have any problems with this.

I've been working with FortiGate for close to three years.

FortiGate is stable.

FortiGate IPS is scalable. We've deployed it across about 150 servers.  

Fortinet has local support in our country, and it's really good. 

Deploying FortiGate is hard.

I rate FortiGate IPS 10 out of 10. I work with many companies, and I recommend it all the time. We build a solution based on what the company wants, and we often recommend it.

We use it, for example, to protect our business application servers so nobody can hack those servers internally and illegally access the information they have.

The administration of the solution is the most valuable aspect. It's easy to manage. 

Fortinet has a very well distributed team around our region, and the product is pretty stable.

The integration is good.

We like the dashboards.

The pricing is not overly expensive.

The solution has limited scalability. The sizing is based don't eh scale of the hardware.

The stability so far has been great. there are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. 

The scalability is limited. You have to change the hardware in order to ensure the solution can scale.

Regionally, we are well covered. Technical support is good in this area. 

The implementation process is quite straightforward. It's not a complex implementation at all. A company shouldn't have any issues with it.

You only need one person to handle deployment and maintenance tasks. This is typically a technician. You do not need a huge team to manage it. 

If you use this solution, within three years, you will get your investment back. It provides a good ROI. 

We find the solution to be very reasonably priced overall.
