We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Omada's user interface is elegant and easy to work with. I like Omada's ability to automatically generate accounts for new hires and allow them access to all required systems by established policies. Around 80 percent of workers can start working immediately on their first day without requesting further access.""Omada's best feature is creating accounts, automatically assigning permissions, and distributing resources based on assignment policies.""Surveying is a valuable feature because it allows us to import data and see who has access to what data, for example.""We are able to onboard new user accounts much faster by automating the process and standardizing our operations globally. Previously, there were many individual processes and manual admin interactions. We also see a lot of cost savings and benefits because through automation and standardization.""Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs.""What I like most is that we can always find a solution, and we can also find the cause when something goes wrong. I like that the most because everything is in one way or another traceable. That is what I like most. I like its reliability.""The benefits of Omada Identity include a holistic way of viewing access, the ability to give people access, and automation.""The most valuable feature is the automatic provisioning and reconciliation of things like the Active Directory groups and memberships."

More Omada Identity Pros →

"It's more of a risk reduction. It takes passwords that are not being managed properly and manages them automatically which really reduces risk."

More Leiberman RED Identity Management [EOL] Pros →

"It gives the best user experience, enabling us an overview of all user entitlements.""One Identity Manager offers several features that I found advantageous compared to other tools.""The Data Importer is a great tool to create an ETL. It generates code which is easy to maintain later without the tool.""The most valuable feature of One Identity Manager is its object-oriented architecture.""Quest One IDM allows for large customization.""The most valuable features of this solution are its handling and that it is easy to maintain and manage the data.""The solution is a typical, conventional IGA but the tool itself offers many options for customization.""Among the most valuable features of One Identity Manager are administration from Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, as well as administration from Exchange. These features enable us to have fully automated processes to create new accounts and new mailboxes. The most valuable option is the ability to design an automated route to give our customers permissions."

Cons
"The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement.""The user interface could be improved. The interface between Omada and the user is mainly text-based.""In our organization, all the data is event-driven, which means that if an attribute is changed in the source system, it can be updated within a few seconds in all end-user systems. There is room for improvement in Omada regarding that. Omada is still batch-based for some processes, so sometimes it can take an hour or even four hours before the execution is run and the update is sent.""I would like to see them expand the functionality of the tool to continue to be competitive with the monsters out there. For example, they could add functionality on the authentication side, functionality that Octa and SailPoint have. But they should do that while maintaining the same simplicity that makes Omada a product of choice today.""We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes.""The current reporting tools in Omada are limited, but we expect significant improvements in the new version.""The backend is pretty good but the self-service request access screen, the GUI, needs improvement. It's an old-fashioned screen. Also, Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995. I know they are working on these things and that’s good, because they’re really needed.""One thing that we are not so happy about is the user interface. It is a bit dated. I know that they are working on that, but the user interface is quite dated. Currently, it is a little bit difficult to customize the user interface to the need of the business, which is a little bit disappointing. It needs it to be a little bit easier to operate, and it should have a better user interface."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"They should improve the application password management. The capability to manage high availability application passwords is its biggest shortcoming."

More Leiberman RED Identity Management [EOL] Cons →

"It is a very powerful solution, but when it comes to doing some complex parameterization or authorization, we end up coding. Comparatively, CA solutions require less coding. It is more powerful than the CA solutions, but you end up with coding in VB.Net or C#. Complex parameterization could be better from their side.""They could make the product more user-friendly. It takes a lot of work to build technical and business cases with the product. The solution is more complex than you think to use.""The solution should come up with a lighter version so people can buy different versions.""It is a large solution where you need to learn how to work in a certain way for it to provide the best benefit.""Make the logging and debugging easier to find, because I'm always confused, "Where do I have to go to turn this log on if I want to see it?"""The product is quite scalable, except for the database which is not highly available. This is where scalability could be improved.""The tool to develop the web portal needs improvement.""The UI and user experience side of things needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

    Information Not Available
  • "Start with an operations team that is motivated to learn a lot in a short period of time. The longer you wait, the more expensive it will be to get the right level of expertise in this area."
  • "There are old processes that are really great for some people and look like pieces of artwork. However, the maintenance of them is really expensive."
  • "The solution is flexible, in general. You can define the parts of the solution that you want to use, and it won't affect the price."
  • "We have the premium support and are very satisfied. They are always answer our questions very quickly. For the moment, we are very satisfied, but I think it's because we are paying for the premium support."
  • "It helps us save on licenses for applications because we are following the account lifecycle, as well as account reactivation."
  • "We are paying for premium support, which is expensive. However, we do receive very good, fast support."
  • "It needs flexibility in the licensing or packaging, because you buy the entire package at once, and sometimes the customers are a bit overwhelmed with whatever they get. I would like if they could cut the licensing or packaging into somewhat smaller things."
  • "It has helped to reduce customer costs."
