Find out in this report how the two Business Process Design solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The solution is very stable."
"Finding the right symbol and creating links, horizontal and vertical are the features I use."
"Web diagramming and RACI have helped expedite the process, capture, and ownership initiatives of our organization."
"iGrafx gives you the capability of documenting your process and then the ability to use it as a tool for analysis to identify the loopholes and shortcomings of your process."
"It has simplified compliance with regulations and company standards."
"This product fulfills ninety percent of our needs, and we're happy as users of it."
"Simulation is most valuable."
"Provides a valuable BPMN feature."
"Great at illustrating advanced topics which helps my team understand what I'm trying to get across."
"Installing Visio is straightforward."
"It's a very flexible solution."
"It keeps track of its connections as you move things around."
"Visio has improved our organization through an essential collaboration with the other Microsoft applications like SharePoint and Excel. So basically in the earlier days, what used to happen, a majority of the organization captured all the as-is process, the time and motion data in the form of Excel and then they used to create process diagrams using other freeware applications. Collaboration allows easy and convenient sharing with other stakeholders, that is really helpful with Visio."
"The most valuable features are that the user experience is simple, and it's customizable."
"A good designation feature."
"We are all familiar with it, and it is easy to use. There is a lot of flexibility, and you can add shapes if you want."
"The look and feel, along with the ease of use of the solution's web modeling version, is an area with certain shortcomings."
"In the next release, I would like to see more layers like three, four, and five. It might be possible but I haven't seen it yet."
"The price could be more competitive."
"Dragging and dropping shapes is not as user-friendly as in Visio. In Visio, it's very easy to work with shapes and in very few minutes you can plot a whole, multi swim-lane, cross-functional process."
"It would be nice to have a Spanish user interface available to us."
"It can be more user-friendly."
"The solution could benefit from improvements to its interface. More specifically, when compared to other tools, the process modeling features lack symbols or object types that are used to represent the information or data within the process."
"With iGrafx, the implementation and the licensing were pretty complex."
"They have to improve shapes. It has good shapes, but it certainly can have more shapes. There are no U shapes. It also requires more customizations. There are a lot of icons, but they can be modernized more. These icons have to be more customizable so that we are able to change the color and things like that. It should also have more integration so that we can use it with other tools on the web. We don't use Microsoft Teams. We use Discord, which is more for gamers. It would be helpful if Visio is integrated with Discord. I can then show my work to my team. We use Visio, and it is a must-have solution for us, but being a startup, we don't have the money to use the whole Microsoft system. Some day we will use Office. For companies like us, there should be connectors for other software. We should be able to use a connector with the software that we are using or with the new generation solutions. Connectors will make it very easy to transfer data."
"Some of the improvements that have been made in Visio have not been beneficial, at least to me, personally. Too many things have been added to it, and it makes it kind of clunky sometimes. There is an overwhelming desire or competition to continue to improve it when the product is and has been pretty good, and some of what is done tends to clutter it. In some cases, the updates make it more difficult to use. It is already pretty feature-heavy and continuing to add stuff is not productive from my perspective."
"When I create an organization chart in Visio, and I want to show it to management, I shouldn't have to copy and paste it into a PowerPoint presentation or put it into a PDF file."
"Extremely large complex drawings need to be saved on the cloud for access."
"It's a very large install that uses many gigabytes."
"The Auto-Align has improved significantly from the previous release; however, it still jumbles the model if your process diagram has a fair degree of complexity."
"Its support team could be well-equipped with the required information."
"The platform has limitations in managing aspects like repositories."
