"There's a module called Icinga Director, which helps us configure the product using an intuitive interface through clicks instead of creating a text configuration. It's very helpful for us.""It is really easy in Icinga to create your own plugin and integrate it without any fuss. And it works just perfectly fine.""I like the ability to amend and adjust things really easily, which is useful in a case where you could make it auto-discover and then set a template to say all of these applications or servers under this template have an automatic threshold set that you’d set up manually.""The drafts are easy but what I like about Icinga is that there are many add-ons that you can download.""We have found the solution to be stable.""Macros and the ability to connect it to Google Maps are valuable features.""The best thing about the solution is how it highlights errors, the issues, and what needs my attention. The solution directs me to areas that I should look for first.""An affordable solution for small organizations to do basic network monitoring."

More Icinga Pros →

"This solution is very quick to deploy as it is a SaaS solution and integrates with tools like ServiceNow.""Detectors are a powerful feature.""I like the fact that Splunk APM makes it easy to connect to the application database and run queries against the data.""The most beneficial aspect of Slunk APM is the ATM, which is the map displaying the inbound and outbound relationships of the microservices, as well as the traffic between these dependencies. This feature provides us with valuable insights and helps us understand the interactions between different microservices.""The most valuable features are troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.""The volume it handles is very good, including the number of metrics, the volume number of traces, and more.""Splunk APM has helped us to standardize logging and monitoring procedures.""It is a good tool. It allows you to set alerts for application and infrastructure monitoring, and it allows you to create dashboards."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"Icinga’s automation could be improved.""Icinga is a complex solution that's hard to learn. It's a powerful product for monitoring, but new users will have a hard time figuring out what to do.""In general, the product does not look good. However, it does what it is supposed to do. So, the improvements should focus on usability and UI.""I think the software is quite good, but we have had problems with getting it to recognize certain areas and amend certain checks, where we needed so we would have to create backend scripts for those checks. Though, being open source, it has the support to create backend scripts, it would be better to have these scripts in-built.""One thing that Icinga lacks is the capability to create advanced and customized dashboards within the tool itself.""One of the areas that are frustrating is remote monitoring for more than one machine.""The tool currently fails to provide notifications to users.""We have found some problems with Nagios, and support isn't very responsive."

More Icinga Cons →

"There are some predefined metrics.......we may want to create customized metrics.""The cardinality is pretty low.""The licensing model is expensive. We need to monitor the amount of data ingested because the cost is based on the data collected.""The UI enhancements could be a way to improve the solution in the future.""The monitoring of workloads when using SignalFx could be improved.""Primarily, the logs in Slunk APM can be challenging to navigate and comprehend, making it difficult to understand the details within each log. Compared to other tools like LogDNA, which are more intuitive in this aspect, the logs in Slunk APM can require more effort to understand.""The UI enhancements could be a way to improve the solution in the future.""Splunk APM should include a better correlation between resources and infrastructure monitoring."
