We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's easy to manage.""Intune's most valuable features are the device, compliance, and configuration policies.""Autopilot is the most valuable feature.""Stable product that's easy to set up compared to other MDM products.""By using Microsoft Intune we can control which websites the users can go to and it provides a secure environment for our employees using their laptops that are having access from home. We have installed Intune to control the user's environment minimizing the chances of any hacking.""Intune's feature that I have found most valuable is its auto-pilot feature.""The ability to send configurations to our systems is valuable, particularly as we don't have a regular Windows AD server. Our current environment doesn't have a Windows AD, which limits our ability to push GPOs. However, this is where the solution can step in and help us push policies.""One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects."

"The most valuable feature of BMC TrueSight Network Automation is compliance management, configuration backup, and configuration management.""The backup and restore configurations are really helpful for a number of network devices, as you can automate them, then know what changes have been done, who made the changes, etc. So, it's quite helpful in the network management area.""We use it to back up configurations so the configuration management is valuable for us.""The log audit and historical configurations are the most valuable feature.""It has the best automation features.""The network security of BMC TrueSight Network Automation has been the best feature.""The compliance management, patching, and OS upgrades are useful features.""It is helpful if you schedule daily or weekly archiving for your config groups. Then, you can go by what are in those configuration groups, before and after, if you make changes. So, configuration management is really helpful in network management."

"The most valuable feature is the interface and its ease of use.""The most useful feature is infrastructure monitoring including switches and servers.""One of the notable advantages is its ability to provide quick responses, especially in critical situations.""It's a very complete product with a lot of functionality."

Cons
"Some enrollment features could be improved.""I know that their AI pieces are at the infancy stage, but allowing users to do more tagging for information would be an interesting thing because Intune also directly integrates with Azure. Because a lot of the devices are hosted with that, you also get a lot of tagging of user data and other things like that.""There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products.""We need the capabilities of the Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) to be enhanced through Intune instead of Azure.""Technical support is not that great.""I wanted to check if there is any provision at the Intune level to restrict certain things, such as a website, but unfortunately, that feature is available only in Microsoft Defender. Intune has web filtering capabilities, but they are only useful for protection from malicious websites, whereas we would like to be able to restrict a website. For example, YouTube is a clean website. No one would identify it as a malicious website, but if we want to stop the end-users from going to that website, we have to go for another product, such as Microsoft Defender or another third-party proxy solution. It would be great if this capability is included in Intune.""What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade.""Microsoft Intune could enhance its patch management for various devices, ensuring regular updates and tracking of device privileges."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"I believe there could be new features in terms of the latest technology.""BMC TrueSight Network Automation can improve by having a better UI. The overall quality of the UI could be better.""They need to have a single sign-on.""It is tedious to scale the solution.""The product should be expanded to include more hardware, beyond Cisco and Juniper devices.""I'd like to be able to get more devices into compliance with standards, but that means running additional rule sets and that takes time.""We've been working with BMC support in various ways such as to allow for the high-availability components to the TSIMs to work together. There have been issues there. We've seen randomness in how other pieces of the software work. Integration with the Presentation Server and the TSIMs has been a challenge. The ports that are required for HA to be utilized were not clearly documented anywhere. In fact, they still aren't documented online anywhere, even though we managed to pull it out of some of their support people.""There could be automated processes to retrieve the CVS and create a compliance tool."

More BMC TrueSight Network Automation Cons →

"One notable deficiency is the lack of online support for the product.""I would like to see additional modules included.""The integration with other network devices needs improvement.""HPE Intelligent Management Center is a bit slow."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Network automation and management software reduces network outages and downtime by automating configuration, change and compliance processes. Organizations depend on high performance across their network to keep the business running at peak efficiency but new security threats make it hard for network administrators to keep pace with the demands for new services and safeguard the health of the network.

HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is a comprehensive management platform that was built from the ground up to support the Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security (FCAPS) model. It provides features and functions that are designed for comprehensive management of the network infrastructure. IMC was designed to provide the following functions:

    • Supports the ITIL operational center of excellence IT practices model.
    • Uses a single-pane management paradigm to enable end-to-end business management of IT services
    • Provides scalability by supporting distributed and hierarchical system architectures, through additional operating system and database support.
    • Uses an SOA model to provide full resource, service, and user management.
    • Enables integration of traditionally separate management tools using a modular design.
    • Enables enterprises to expand their infrastructure management in scale and to seamlessly accommodate new technologies at the same time.
