We performed a comparison between Automation Anywhere (AA) and Visual Studio Test Professional based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."When our organization switched to Automation Anywhere, the accuracy rate improved and consequently, there has not been much data loss."
"The recorder feature for front end automation and email packages is the most valuable feature as it has more features and it makes the email server related tasks easier and more independent on the email client."
"IQ Bot is something which is going to disrupt the market in the future. We... are particularly impressed with the evolution of IQ Bot and the kind of disruption it is bringing to the OCR space."
"We can integration with other APIs, which is a good thing. This helps us with our database integration. For example, we have done an SAP integration, which is great, since SAP has a lot of manual work."
"So far, we have seen that a valuable feature of Automation Anywhere is the ease of integrating it with multiple systems. It can very easily integrate with an environment of an organization. It helps in a quick go to access and implementation. You don't have to spend days implementing Automation Anywhere software. You can quickly go drag and drop and do an ease of configuration. You can actually get your bot up and running very fast, which is one important advantage."
"The standout qualities of Automation Anywhere were the ease of automation and that it is an intuitive tool. After a simple walkthrough, a couple of hours or two, you would be able to hit the ground running."
"We reduce the time that scientists spend on manual tasks and put them on more value-added work."
"The OCR application is excellent and has helped resolve many issues that I had been facing."
"The solution is very stable; there's nothing in relation to stability to complain about."
"We are satisfied with technical support. Communicating with them is very simple. We also have a lot of online resources to check and to study and to train our team with. The documentation is very clear and readily available."
"User-friendly ID and direct integration with GitHub are the most valuable."
"Easy to use and easily scalable."
"The most valuable feature of Visual Studio Test Professional is its ease of use."
"The product is good to create big or small projects fastly. It is one of the leaders in the area."
"The tool has highly detailed debugging features."
"Its initial setup process is easy."
"One thing about it that we have not found to be exceptionally useful are the built-in bot analytics, the Bot Insights. From our own extensive experimentation, as well as from what we've understood from other people using this solution, we've been able to come up with better solutions using our own in-house analytics and our own systems than through theirs."
"If the option were available to use the old generic-style variable type, it would be helpful."
"Automation Anywhere should have more Excel-related functionality."
"They will need much more support, because it is a new thing and it’ll never fail because of productive partners. It will fail if people on the “gemba” don’t adopt it."
"What I am suggesting, when using A2019, if there are any additional features to exclude those antivirus scans until after my task is completed, then the antivirus can start scheduling. Then, I can easily tell the client that the priority are running and the Automation Anywhere scans can wait until after the release."
"If I want to do something that is more purely business-related and is somewhat complex to write or is nuanced, I sometimes have trouble implementing that inside of the Automation Anywhere script. I feel limited at times with some of the looping and some of the branching and some of the ways to make procedure calls when I have a complex business issue."
"I would also like to see better communication with their customer success teams. It often takes longer than expected when we submit requests for help or come across a problem we want to resolve. While I can appreciate that it sometimes takes a while to get the appropriate answer, it would be nice to be in constant communication about where they are in the process."
"It needs stability improvements. Sometimes, it becomes unstable."
"Sometimes, the product is too complex to use."
"Over the years, I haven't identified any specific enhancements that I desire; Visual Studio has consistently met my requirements seamlessly and flawlessly."
"The performance could be faster."
"It is not good in terms of performance. When you open Visual Studio, you have to wait for a while to process your code. It uses a lot of resources and has a lot of features. If we could disable some of the features, it would be lighter and faster to use. Nowadays, for some of the projects, we use VS Code for JavaScript or Python. VS Code is very light and easy to use, whereas, in Visual Studio, we have to wait because it takes time to compile or run a project. It has a lot of competitors in terms of performance, such as Intelligent ID. Intelligent ID is very easy to use. It has many features, and it is lighter to use than Visual Studio. In terms of error handling, sometimes, it shows an error before you finish your code, which can be improved. It would be good if it has a version for Linux. I use VS Code on Linux, but I am not sure if Visual Studio has a version for Linux."
"The documents on the Microsoft website are not very useful, and they ought to make it easier to find answers."
"Enhancing the support for web application testing and load performance would be an improvement."
"It would be great to support other languages and applications, and that is one of the things we can improve."
"Its UI could be better."
