What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for antivirus endpoint security for all our end users.
How has it helped my organization?
Seqrite Endpoint Security provides a good amount of security and there are additional features, such as delicate prevention, which we are using.
What is most valuable?
We found the DLP to be innovative and useful. We didn't use it before, so it is a good feature.
What needs improvement?
Currently, we are using signature-based security. This means that we are using signatures to map security behaviors. We would like to move to signature-less security in the future. This would mean that we would use behaviors to protect our system. We would like the solution to have integration with other security solutions so that we can have a single base for monitoring all the security incidents and concerns.

IT analyst at a security firm with 51-200 employees
Having an excellent technical support in place for its users, the solution requires minimum resources for its maintenance phase
Pros and Cons
- "The solution's current features include antivirus, web filtering, file activity monitoring, PAM, firewall, IDS/IPS, and DLP. Though I'm not familiar with the whole solution, it is good."
- "The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs."
What is our primary use case?
Seqrite Endpoint Security is being used solely for endpoint protection.
What is most valuable?
The solution's current features include antivirus, web filtering, file activity monitoring, PAM, firewall, IDS/IPS, and DLP. Though I'm not familiar with the whole solution, it is good. However, there are new release notes in the current one or the new one, Seqrite Endpoint Security 8.1.
What needs improvement?
The product or service could be improved by incorporating SIEM integrations to enable the collection of logs. Also, the solution's threat hunting and virus detection capabilities have room for improvement.
Since in our company, we haven't deployed the latest version of the solution. I won't be able to comment on what needs to be included in the solution's next release. They have an update for the solution's DLP for the new features. They also have an update for the solution's multi-factor authenticator. The SIEM integrations in the solution also have a scope for improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
Our company currently uses Seqrite Endpoint Security 7.6, and we plan to renew it for Seqrite Endpoint Security 8.1 soon. The company has been using this solution for four years now. Our company is a user of the solution.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution between eight and a half to nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Overall, each of the endpoint protection solutions have antivirus or endpoint security, possesses its own characteristics that cannot be compared. It would be like comparing an apple to an apple.
Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. My company has a total of 750 people using the solution.
How are customer service and support?
I did contact the solution's technical support team. It was included in the proposal stating that Seqrite Endpoint Security will provide us 24/7 support except on the weekends. I rate the solution's technical support team nine and a half out of ten since whenever we have issues, they answer and fix them. Also, the solution has not presented us with any tough incidents or challenges.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Since I've been working abroad for quite some time and considering the daily use cases, I've been using other solutions like Kaspersky. While Kaspersky may be a good solution in general, it is not the best option for use in a network since it is quite heavy. In comparison, Seqrite, which is only known in the Philippines, is not as popular abroad. When I worked overseas, I only heard about Symantec and Trend Micro. So, I can say that Kaspersky is a better choice than Seqrite.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup process for the solution is quite easy. The solution's deployment process was cloud-based.
One person is responsible for maintaining the solution, which involves checking the dashboard and conducting other related activities, such as identifying outdated or disconnected endpoints and detecting potential threats. So, two people are involved in the daily maintenance of the solution.
What about the implementation team?
We have our own technical team for the deployment process. Also, it was done with the guidelines of our authorized distributor.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive. Price-wise, presently, Seqrite is still the lowest.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We are presently evaluating other solutions and comparing them to Seqrite Endpoint Security because we may have become too comfortable with it and not considered other solutions. As a result, it's possible that there are certain features or capabilities present in other solutions that are not available in Seqrite Endpoint Security. In short, maybe we are comfortable with, let's say, ninety percent, and then there is ten percent that Seqrite is not capturing. So, maybe we'll try to use the solutions which are the competitors of Seqrite, which we are not using in our current setup. As of now, we cannot decide which solution to choose because Seqrite Endpoint Security has antivirus, next-generation, and something like that. Basically, we are in the process of doing a competitive analysis between the current solution we have and its competitors or other solutions.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.
I like the solution's web protection features and external device control
Pros and Cons
- "I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
- "I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection."
What is our primary use case?
We use Seqrite to provide endpoint security for Linux systems.
What is most valuable?
I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control.
What needs improvement?
I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Seqrite for four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We've had a few users complain about performance, but we can fix that issue by adjusting the configuration and excluding some processes.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We have around 300 licenses and haven't noticed any performance issues so far.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We didn't have an endpoint security solution for Linux before Seqrite, but we are using Sophos and Kaspersky for Windows endpoints.
How was the initial setup?
Setting up Seqrite was easy. We didn't have much trouble installing it, and the vendor provided excellent support during deployment. Our total deployment time was 15 days.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Seqrite eight out of 10.
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

The trial version of Seqrite Endpoint Security can be longer so potential customers have enough time to evaluate.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for six months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have not used the solution for long and therefore I give the scalability a five out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The solution has no issues currently, but if I have trouble, I raise the ticket, and their technical team quickly responds and solves our problem.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used Siemens tech and Sophos before switching to Seqrite Endpoint Security. Some of our clients are still using Siemens and Sophos because they are familiar with those solutions and are not able to easily change to a different solution. Some clients are trying to change and for those clients, we provide information about Seqrite Endpoint Security.
How was the initial setup?
I give the initial setup an eight out of ten. The installation is not difficult and only takes a few minutes.
What about the implementation team?
The implementation was completed in-house.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The licensing fee is 200 Bangladeshi Taka per client per year.
What other advice do I have?
I give the solution a six out of ten because I do not have much experience using the solution yet to properly provide an overall rating.
I recommend the solution to others.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
Disclosure: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:
Non-Executive Independent Director at Aether Industries Limited
Provides advanced device control features and filter policies but needs to be compatible with more devices
Pros and Cons
- "The most valuable features are the file activity monitors, DLP solutions, and application controls."
- "We are using Apple devices, and the advanced device control service doesn't work for M1 chips devices, like Apple MacBooks."
What is our primary use case?
I use this solution for the advanced device control features, application control features, filter policies, DLP solutions, and to schedule internet access.
The solution is deployed on-premises.
There are 150 people using this solution in my organization. We don't have plans to increase usage.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features are the file activity monitors, DLP solutions, and application controls.
What needs improvement?
We are using Apple devices, and the advanced device control service doesn't work for M1 chips devices, like Apple MacBooks.
It should be more compatible with other devices.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used this solution for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It's scalable, but not for Mac devices.
How was the initial setup?
Setup is very easy. It can be deployed in two hours.
It can be accessed by a console system. I have a primary and secondary server, but I have merged both sides to make a single primary server.
What about the implementation team?
I deployed the solution myself.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The license isn't expensive.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate this solution as six out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
Disclosure: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.
Solutions Architect at a tech services company with 11-50 employees
Affordable and quick to deploy but the response of support was slow during procurement
Pros and Cons
- "The convenience has been great."
- "User management could be improved."
What is our primary use case?
It's basically for remote work management. We are still operating in a hybrid mode. Whatever restrictions we have to apply on the end-user laptops, we do it through Seqrite.
There are a lot of client IT restrictions that we have to deal with. We cannot share the laptop screen, for example, or there cannot be media storage devices connected to the laptop. So all of these access controls and the endpoint governance policies are running through Seqrite.
How has it helped my organization?
The convenience has been great. That is the most beneficial thing, especially when we onboard someone new.
Earlier, the IT team had to set up everything from scratch on every laptop, and even then, there was a chance of the end user being able to bypass some of those controls.
With Seqrite, it is completely protected, and we have full control over what is happening on the end user's laptop.
What is most valuable?
As we're using the serverless version, the fully managed offering, we are able to control and change the access permissions remotely. Whenever someone has to get temporary access or anything, we do not have to install the application on our server and maintain it. We have one single login, an admin login, and from there, we can change the permissions and access controls for a number of end-user devices.
The deployment was fast.
The solution is stable so far.
It's pretty affordable.
What needs improvement?
User management could be improved. For example, if you have to create different types of user groups based on what kind of access they would need, that should be easier. We keep standard rules for certain profiles. The user management is not that good currently, and so we have trouble with handling user management.
Once the client is installed, then we can control it. However, the initial setup should be managed completely in mobile mode. For example, if a laptop is delivered directly from the vendor to an employee and we can trigger the command from a central place to install the client and run the standard installations as well, that would make things easier.
I'm a bit concerned about the responsiveness of support.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for 1.5 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
So far, the solution looks stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is too early to tell how well the solution will scale. We have not yet scaled it to a lot of users. Only five people are using it right now. That includes developers and project managers. We do plan to increase usage as our developer base expands.
How are customer service and support?
We have yet to escalate questions to technical support. However, during the procurement cycle, we did find the responsiveness lacking to some extent. They were slower than we expected. I worry that they may not be proactive if we do run into issues.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
While we did not directly use the solution, we did explore a Dell product. We read about the features, and it was very similar. We went with this solution based on the price point, and we were getting a fully managed version. Also, the IT person who was implementing it had prior experience and knew the product well.
How was the initial setup?
The solution has a short deployment cycle. It wasn't very long. In one month, we assessed different solutions available in the market, and then after comparing the price and the features available, we deployed it. The procurement time was roughly 10 days, and we implemented it in about one week. We had one person working on it full-time with guidance from me. It doesn't take many people to deploy and maintain it. This is the serverless version we're using, so we do not have a lot of maintenance to worry about.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Price-wise, it is quite reasonable.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten in terms of affordability.
They offer one standard license as part of a package that covers an admin and X number of users.
What other advice do I have?
Earlier, I was working with a services company. There we were resellers and distributors of these solutions. Now, I'm working with a company where we are using these tools in-house. I'm helping with the implementation in-house. Right now, the company I'm associated with is not a registered reseller.
We are using the solution. We're using the SaaS version.
The tool is still new to us, and we are taking a chance on it. However, in general, it looks good overall.
I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
