Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Pricing

The licenses are too expensive compared to before, which is why customers are now preferring other data metadata management tools like OneTrust, Collibra, and Azure Purview. As a matter of POC, they are assessing whether their requirements can meet data governance initiatives. The need for skilled professionals is increasing, but cost remains a significant consideration for organizations when implementing CDGC. If a budget is allocated and they are satisfied with the Informatica CDGC license price, then it is a very good tool to implement.
View full review »The pricing is high and is based on the number of master data entities managed within the platform including refrence data entities. It can range from a quarter million to a couple of million a year. IDMC is often described as the 'Ferrari of Master Data Solutions,' implying that while expensive, it is still the best as a business-critical platform and, therefore, justified.

For licensing, all I know is the number of users matters. It's not about the volume of data; it's more about the number of users. If more users are added, there's an additional cost.
We only use out-of-the-box features and haven't asked for any customization, so we haven't incurred additional costs. However, when we migrate all 53 business units, there might be additional costs. As of now, we don't have any extra costs.

It has premium pricing. Depending on what we're working on and which features we're using within Informatica, there can be additional costs. It's mostly data integration, but you might need to upgrade your license to include other aspects of Informatica. Certain connectors require a license upgrade to access.

View full review »I rate the product's pricing a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price, and ten is high price. The product does come at a certain cost since it is one of the best products in the market. The payments for the solution are made on a subscription-based model, meaning it is a pay-as-you-go model. In general, the costs attached to the solution depend on its usage.
The costs, in addition to the standard licensing fees for the solution, depend on users' requirements.

The licensing for Informatica Axon is expensive, but it provides value for the investment. With the new cloud platform, they have introduced a consumption-based license model, where you only pay for what you use. This change has made it more affordable and easier for users.
Comparatively, other services are providing a lower price, but since moving from Informatica on-prem to IICS, the pricing factor is much better. So when we compare two platforms of the same vendor, it's a good price.
View full review »Cost-wise, I think it is on the higher side, and that is why we are looking for some better options. Licensing costs are huge compared to other players in the market and for my company.
I'm not aware of the exact licensing cost because the senior management handles that, but I know that products like Azure Data Factory are less expensive than Informatica. At the same time, Informatica gives you more options and connectors. Everything is possible, whether you want to do API-based integration, traditional data integration, etc.
Azure Data Factory is more useful for connecting with the Azure cloud. You can also play around with the native data integration tools that other cloud providers offer, like GCP or AWS.
View full review »The solution is subscription-based. Users are charged based on how many resources are used.
The pricing is pretty good. I'd rate it 8.5 to nine out of ten.
View full review »We pay an annual license. Mobile players are unable to afford the product. Different MDMs have different pricing approaches but there needs to be room for mobile players.
The pricing of Informatica Cloud Data Integration and other solutions are almost the same but with slight differences. It differs from project to project, their use case, source and target. Unfortunately, I do not have information on precise licensing costs.

Informatica's licensing cost is among the highest in the market. I would rate it as a five out of ten in terms of costliness. With Informatica, we have a single bundled agreement covering the entire solution based on total capacity rather than specific modules.

View full review »Informatica Cloud Data Integration is famously known for its high price. The vendor targets large enterprises, and not medium or small companies. These large companies, and organizations, handle large amounts of data. If you go into any large bank, such as American or Canadian banks, these banks use this solution because it is more reliable, secure, and has more functionality.
There can be extra changes, such as using the cloud.
I rate the price of Informatica Cloud Data Integration a two out of five.

Licensing costs are not fixed and I know that Informatica offers discounted prices to certain customers. Microsoft is cheaper.
I would rate Informatica's pricing as an eight out of ten in terms of affordability. Starting with a small IPU volume is cost-effective, and as we grow, the pricing adjusts favorably based on consumption, which makes it reasonable for our needs.
The price of the product is something that may vary from customer to customer. I rate the product's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive.
The solution is expensive.
View full review »I have heard from customers that the product comes with a huge license cost. Under contractual terms, Informatica does not let us have full control of our own datasets, but that comes down to how the billing and licensing work. The licensing is a bit complex and expensive.

When you are using the on-premises version, managing the licenses is quite difficult. However, on the cloud, you just pay for what you use, and it's a lot easier. With the cloud, if you want MDM, you pay for it, and if you want PowerCenter, you pay for it; however, if you don't want it or don't use it, you don't pay. We'll just pay for Data Quality, as it has all of the features we need inside it.
I'm not involved in the conversations around licensing and agreements. That said, my understanding is that Informatica is pretty expensive. I'd likely rate it two to two and a half out of five in terms of affordability.
View full review »EDC comes with an Enterprise Licensing Agreement, whereas Axon is a yearly subscription. That is an expensive affair. I don't know the exact cost because the asset management team handles that. We only tell them how many licenses to get. The administrator who manages the platform distributes the licenses, and we provide them to data owners who are making policy changes.
Axon is sold separately, and it's subscription-based. Usually, EDC is included in a big data package as an enterprise license. It would be nice if EDC and Axon could be bundled in one enterprise license.
View full review »It is an expensive solution. I would say it is the most expensive solution in the market.
For the features of the software, the price is justifiable.
For 12 users, the platform's estimated annual cost is around $160,000.
View full review »Pricing can vary because Informatica doesn't have a standard price across the board. It depends more on the sales representatives in different regions. They essentially call the shots and decide the discount percentage for each customer.
So, it's quite flexible, like a bargain, in a way, but it depends on the salesperson.

I would say that based on the current scenario, the market trends show that it is not required for the price to be increased. But, functionality-wise, and considering that now as the trend of microservices is going on in the market if Informatica MDM can be replaced in a similar way with particular tools or components to meet the client's demands, we can use only those particular things for the DDoS service covering, for the backup, for the security, and data encryption. So that can be helpful. Part-wise, if somebody needs only the pipelines to be created, someone needs to get a complete data flow task, or someone requires only the MDMs to get in place and not complete information that they need to make. We have licenses, and we are provided with certain particular services in the solution.

So, there are plans for licensing. There are subscription-based and usage-based licenses. Also, there are licenses for exceptional analytics, etc. In short, there are different models of licensing for every enterprise.
Licensing costs are generally on the higher side.
View full review »Pricing is determined by the number of licensed users as well as the number of Core CPUs.
You can imagine how expensive it would be for a company with 10,000 users, but it all depends on how many analyst user licenses they require.
I believe there is a flat fee for the end user.
It is not expensive, but individual licenses are required for technical users, data analysts, data stewards, and the data governance team, which can add up if you have a large number of them.
Different clients may have different licensing costs, but it is based on a yearly paid license. It is renewed every year. There is an initial licensing fee as well as an annual renewal fee.
They are very expensive, and they charge a lot because they know they are number one. I would rate them a five out of five. Five being the most expensive.

View full review »Licensing costs are a little pricey. For my previous client, as a support contract partner, we were making less money than Informatica was charging them.
The product is not very pocket-friendly for small and medium-sized businesses, and it is understandable because of the kind of features the tool gives.
On a scale of one to ten, if one is a cheap solution and ten is an expensive one, I rate the tool's price as seven.
Informatica MDM's pricing is not cheap but comparable to other vendors.
View full review »I have no idea what the price actually is. It is probably not going to be the cheapest, but it is a pretty stable and robust platform from the backend standpoint.
View full review »Informatica MDM is very expensive. Apart from licensing fees, they have broken down their products into multiple products, and they charge for each and every product. If the data is huge, they charge for the data. At times, we have to use third party services for data cleaning, and they charge for that as well.
View full review »Informatica MDM recently changed its pricing model. It's usage-based but I don't have much insight into the current pricing.
View full review »There is no doubt that it is very expensive, but the brand value comes at a cost. Other MDM solutions in the market that haven't proven themselves like Informatica are also pretty expensive. We need to understand that MDM itself is very expensive to implement. So, Informatica is also pretty expensive. I would rate it a two out of five for being pretty expensive.
View full review »It's usually a yearly subscription, but customers can go with a different pricing model. Typically, it's a yearly subscription for the cloud solution. If you're buying an on-premise solution, it's a one-time payment and annual license for support.
View full review »We have a perpetual license for Informatica, and we only need to pay for support. However, because we're not actively using it at the moment, we don't have the budget to continue with the support.
View full review »Informatica MDM's pricetag should come down. They have to cut some costs.
View full review »It is expensive. That's probably the biggest drawback. The business has heartache paying the license, but that's mainly because they don't realize what value it brings. The key thing about the MDM solution is that it is in the backend, and no one sees what it is actually doing. You don't know it is a problem until it is not there.

My experience on pricing is maybe four to five years old. I don't know what the current model is based on in our organization.
View full review »The product is very expensive compared to other competitor tools. Informatica MDM is not meant for small businesses but rather used by large enterprises like banks or government organizations. Informatica MDM can be purchased as a stand-alone product and doesn't come in an Informatica bundle. The support for Informatica MDM is not included in the standard licensing fees and must be purchased separately.

Informatica MDM is a costly solution because it comes as a bundle. They are also globally positioning themselves and are definitely working on very upgraded technologies. If someone wanted to do it on the cloud, they have a lot of flexibility because they upgrade themselves according to the current needs.
