Our main use case for Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points is to connect users, enabling them to access Wi-Fi through the wireless access point. We use Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points to connect the access point with our access switches. This is a standalone solution, so we do not have to configure this access point. Once it is connected to the WLC, it gets the configuration automatically. We have some sites where we connect this access point to the Cisco switches, and then users are able to connect to Wi-Fi with the help of Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points. We are using multiple access points per floor, so for one particular floor, there will be two or three access points as per the requirement, enabling multiple users to use that.

- "Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points' best feature is that it is a standalone device and we do not have to configure it, as it is just plug and play and once you connect the access point to the switch, it will start working and enable many users to connect through the access point."

Reliable wireless access has supported remote management and streamlined daily connectivity
Pros and Cons
- "What I appreciate about Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points is the convenience to operate them and install them across locations remotely or on-premise."
- "Apart from that, the security measures of Cisco have not provided us with great help in reducing network vulnerabilities."
What is our primary use case?
I use Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points for Wi-Fi connectivity for our laptops and mobiles. Currently, we do not have any IoT applications; we just use Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points for user Wi-Fi connectivity.
What is most valuable?
What I appreciate about Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points is the convenience to operate them and install them across locations remotely or on-premise.
What needs improvement?
From Cisco DNA, we are not able to identify deep troubleshooting for the wireless network; we are doing the troubleshooting from the wireless controller itself.
We are not able to utilize the AI-driven analytics in Cisco Wireless 9100 Access Points because of our company's policy; we are not able to integrate Cisco cloud AI.
Sometimes there are disconnections that happen with user laptops. When we want to troubleshoot, the more advanced features that are cloud-generated by the AI would be helpful if we could use them at a minimalist level at the on-premise device.
We are following up on the DNA suggestions of the OS upgradation. Apart from that, the security measures of Cisco have not provided us with great help in reducing network vulnerabilities.
There are no missing features that I would like to see included in it in the future or enhanced in it.
