VMware Aria Operations for Applications Primary Use Case

I have been involved in several projects where I had to implement automation and monitoring alerting. I performed automation using VMware Aria Operations for Applications. There is an automation tab where you can perform automation related to environment resizing and snapshot deletion. Additionally, if any VMs are in an idle state, you can use automation to remove or power off those VMs. A small area of automation scope exists inside VMware Aria Operations for Applications.
For dashboard creation, you can use heat maps and scoreboards. When configuring alerts, you can set criteria and categories such as critical, intermediate, normal, or warning alerts. You can put these into a scheduler, and if symptoms match the alert configuration, it automatically sends alert notifications to stakeholders based on notification settings. Stakeholders receive recommendations when CPU or memory consumption reaches certain thresholds.
The tool also allows collection of compliance reports through the report tab. These reports can be exported in PDF or Excel format and sent to stakeholders.

I primarily use VMware Aria Operations for Applications for monitoring, generating reports, and troubleshooting within the application environment. The solution allows for real-time statistics and helps identify issues within the VM environment.

So, it is not only about availability but also about the actual performance of applications within our Kubernetes deployments.
It is a cloud service. It doesn't have a version number.

As VMware partners, we are capable of deploying Tanzu Observability anywhere with vSphere, including on-premises and cloud deployments, and we can integrate it with an MSSP. We also install and use HAProxy, then integrate with the VM Orchestrator. For our clients, we release the automation and provide services such as creating the control plane with multiple nodes. We currently have multiple installations based on this type of environment.
Tanzu enhances any container platform that we use such as Kubernetes but it is also integrated with multiple other container solutions.
I primarily use the solution for consulting. I help company DevOps teams.
