This solution is easy to configure and very flexible but despite this, it is complex if you want AD Forest

What is most valuable?

We can use different types of DBs and Application Servers from different different brands for the business. Many are supported by II.

How has it helped my organization?

Customization of workflows as per business needs is easy & most effective part is certification for easy compliance and access monitoring & revokes extra access if any.

What needs improvement?

Complex configuration if you want to have AD forest architecture in place.

For how long have I used the solution?

Three years.

Now If you are using IdentityIQ 6.4 there users will not find to setup AD Forest because of
"Discover Domains" options provided by Sailpoint

It needs more details during account aggregation failures but the provisioning in multiple environments is valuable.

We started with our customer last fall.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

No issues encountered.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

None.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Initial testing with a large amount of cubes (over 60K) went well.

How are customer service and technical support?

Customer Service:

Good.

Technical Support:

Good - via a forum (Compass) and ticketing system.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Yes, we used Sun Identity Management and we switched because Sun IDM is coming to the end of its life.

How was the initial setup?

It was straightforward as we have a lot of experience with Sun IDM.

What about the implementation team?

I am part of a consulting service team who can provide Identity Management platform implementation. We have been helping our customer implement Sun IDM in the past and last fall, we helped the customer in SailPoint.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Oracle Identity Manager was the other one we helped evaluate.

What other advice do I have?

Understand the customer's business practice regarding provisioning.

What is our primary use case?

We use the on-premises and cloud deployment models. We use it for many uses like compliance control, provisioning, automated provisioning, password management, and identity governance.

What is most valuable?

The compliance features are the most valuable features. 

What needs improvement?

I would like for the client base to be improved. Also, they should change what they charge for the licenses.  

They should lower the price and technical support should be better. Their support takes a long time to respond and they're not straightforward.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using IdentityIQ for around two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability is good. 

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability is good. Based on compliance, it is good. 

How are customer service and technical support?

We've had issues with support. 

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. The time it takes to deploy depends on the size of the organization but it is reasonable. 

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it a seven out of ten. Not a ten because of the support and because of the high price.

What is our primary use case?

We used this solution in one of our projects for provisioning rights in applications such as Active Directory and Office 365. It was also used for collecting information and centralizing it, which was then used to create rights.

What is most valuable?

There is a lot of documentation available.

The community is very active and when I had questions about an issue, I was able to find the resources.

What needs improvement?

This solution is difficult to configure.

The interface should be simple and easier to use.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with SailPoint IdentityIQ for five months.

How are customer service and technical support?

Technical support is very responsive. When I created a ticket, they responded the same day.

I had questions, more than issues when it came to technical support.

What other advice do I have?

The project that I worked on involved an on-premises deployment, although it can also be deployed on the cloud or in a hybrid cloud environment.

My advice to anybody who is implementing this solution is to not begin without having the specification written and documented in advance. If you are implementing it for a client then you want to understand everything that the client wants to use, in advance of implementing.

SailPoint is very good when it comes to Identity Management, although I would appreciate it more if it were simpler to use.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

We use it for lifecycle management. We have joiner, leaver, rehire, and termination as well as user provisioning. We also do certifications and reporting.

What is most valuable?

Certifications and user provisioning features are the most valuable.

What needs improvement?

The UI needs to be more user friendly. More concentration on historical policy violations would be great.

In terms of new features, I would like to see artificial intelligence and machine language added.

I have been using SailPoint IdentityIQ for ten years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is stable.

It is scalable. We have 15 users in our organization.

How are customer service and technical support?

SailPoint support is very good.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was straightforward. The deployment was okay.

What about the implementation team?

I used an in-house team.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

SailPoint is higher in price as compared to Saviynt. The initial cost of SailPoint is very high. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I didn't evaluate previously, but I am currently evaluating Saviynt and IdentityNow.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate SailPoint IdentityIQ a nine out of ten. I am happy with it.
